They have no choice. They don't want to lose the tax revenue to neighboring states.

What happens when a person purchases a gun legally? I don't really know. Does their name go into a database? I would think if a person wants alcohol and are not old enough to buy it they find a way to get it. I would bet the same for a gun. Would it be better to know a person purchased a weapon or not know? Are transgender people less sane than people that are not trans? Not saying this person is trans or has any gender issues but if they are, should congress limit their gun rights instead of everyones? What about people on psych meds? Should they not be allowed?

Bump Okay so everyone has heard of the possible upcoming food shortages. What happens if a person takes the initiative to buy lots of something and sell it for an inflated price when it becomes scarce? Is that price gouging or a smart business decision based on supply and demand?

That might be the case but not without the city benefiting. Zoning laws restrict the type of house so there will need to be hearings, fees, and variances in order to change the zoning. Then neighbors will have a chance to object but that will be like anything else. The sleazy palm greasing tycoon that knows all the politicians will be able to do anything they want but the simple citizen that wants to convert his 7000 square foot place into a 4 plex will be restricted by zoning laws and turned down.

I am all for letting people live the way they choose. But I think it is a sin to bring up children to be fat or obese and have no reasoning skills. Regardless of socioeconomic conditions, it is cheaper and healthier to prepare home cooked meals from scratch. I cook for 5 adults every day and for around $20-$30 we have enough food for 15 meals. My wife and I ate out the other evening. We went to a Thai place. We had two entrees and two appetizers and only drank water. With tax and tip it cost $66. My son and I went to Wayback hamburger for the first time in 10 years. We drank water. I got a double cheeseburger with cheese and a fry he got a chicken sandwich with fries. It cost $28. Screw that! The hamburger was pretty good. The Thai food was sub-par. The food I cook is delicious. I have no desire to eat out. Lately for desert we have been making smoothies. We bought a Ninja large blender/food processor gadget. I put in two ripe bananas, some whole yogurt, frozen mango, frozen strawberries, frozen blueberries, and enough almond milk to allow it to process. Boy is that delicious! I do not consume alcohol. Golly gee if you go to a restaurant and order a drink what is that these days? Probably close to $10. That smoothie is not cheap but it is delicious and nutritious. Coffee at a restaurant is not hovering around $3. Screw that! I buy my beans and grind them. We have this Ninja coffee maker that can make a small or large cup or an entire pot. Nothing we eat comes prepared. How can an illiterate mom and dad teach their children to read? How can parents with zero math skills teach their children math? I had a rental home that I just sold to my son. First floor tenant is clean and great. The end of March I had the second floor tenant vacate. She was obese with 3 kids and a hundred friends that she probably allowed to stay there. This beautiful place that I had sweat over to rebuild years earlier was totally filthy everywhere. Cockroaches that the building never had and ants everywhere. It has taken me two months to get it back in shape. People have no responsibility and do not take care of themselves, their children, or anything that is not theirs. Entitlements breed irresponsible filthy, lazy, dumb, citizens. I am glad I am getting old. The world in my view is not getting better.

I do not think the pandemic fueled a housing boom. I think prior to the pandemic costs of building materials had already soared. That was one of the first things I noticed. OSB went from $8 a sheet to $30 almost overnight. I don't think houses are overvalued based on the costs of goods to build a house or repair one. Interest rates have been at record lows for many years. 2-3% interest was crazy stupid low and it effected real investors from lending. Rates on savings have been in the toilet for probably 20 years. This is not a new or a COVID pandemic problem. This is a pandemic problem of its own that started probably back in the days of Clinton with housing for all. The issue I see the consumer facing is that inflation and higher prices only make the government richer. The value of everything goes up and people pay more sales tax on everything they buy. The value of your home increases and you pay more property tax. The consumers wage cannot keep up with the rising costs. The government beast is never satisfied. Their rhetoric will be they need to raise taxes/mill rates even higher because even though their coffers should be overfilling because they take in double the sales tax they were a year ago because items have doubled in price, their expenses have gone up and they don't ever have enough money to function.

I was under the impression that the free state project was kinda a failure. I thought only a small portion of people moved there. So if only a few moved there and got elected, they must have convinced those already there to vote for them or rig elections.

How does a person with different ideology communicate with AOC, Chuck Schumer, Adam Schiff, Maxine Waters, Liz Chenney, Richard Blumenthal, Mitt Romney, Mitch McConnell, Nancy Pelosi??? Communication only works in one direction as directives. Most of society is incapable of being critical of their own thinking. Very few people accept responsibility. Most people live in denial. Try to hold anyone accountable/responsible for what they are supposed to do and see what the response is. All you will get are excuses or denial and ultimately you are a jerk. Why would a politician listen to someone that disagrees or challenges them? Didn't you get the memo? Those people are the problem and the reason we need to limit speech. It has been said that justice will not be found in our courts. I say liberty will not be found in our government. Behind the scenes is a powerful agenda that most people do not have the security clearance to know about or the mental capacity to understand. If ever there was a conspiracy...........

It seems like the job is much more difficult in this day and age. In years past 2+2 was 4. Nowadays there is no reason or logic to peoples ideology. They are more like programmed robots with no ability to think or reason. IMHO the masses are deluded and the sane are afraid or not willing to waste their energy or become outcasts by exercising their privileged thinking skills. Maybe it all started with the cash register that calculated the proper change. People used to be able to know if the cost was $1.88 and the customer paid with a $20 the change was $18.12. Back in the day kids rode bicycles and if they wanted to ride they learned how to patch tires. Dinner didn't come out of a box. Pharmaceuticals were not the cure for inadequacy. Awards were not given to every participant. Chromosomes determined sex. Sex determined gender. Arrested people could actually defend themselves instead of having to accept a plea. Technology and automation has replaced the need to think. So these days we would need to try to convince an idiot that has zero useful skills that is screaming an ideology that they are wrong. Most people have given up.

I do not think it is dead. I would equate it to an induced coma. Bet your bottom dollar that if a Republican was wanting to beat the war drum the likes of Pelosi, Schumer, Schiff, Waters, and every other life saving concerned Liberal will be screaming from the rooftops and gutters that war is evil.

I think the point is that paying in cash will not be an option. What is cash anyway? All it will take cash to be worthless is for the Federal Government to declare it is nothing more than the worthless piece of paper is actually is. Turn in all your cash by December 31 20xx or it will be worth nothing...Period...

Upon looking at the people in the picture, I conclude that those people should not have children. I support their right to abortion and am against their right to deliver live children. Are contraceptives that ineffective? I don't buy the unplanned accident theories. Are these sleazebags so incompetent that they cannot remember to take a pill? Does a diabetic forget to take insulin? I am on a once a day eye drop for glaucoma. I do not forget. Do Transgender people forget to take their hormones? How many days a month/year is a woman fertile? How many days a month are these sluts having sex? Take some responsibility for "your body" and your choice. It is "your choice" to have unprotected sex. I as a male never had children that were unintended and never had unprotected sex. I didn't want to father and or pay for children that I did not intend to have. Any male that impregnates these fleabags are at the bottom of the gene pool solidifying my stance that this world doesn't need their offspring. @jmdrake if the fetus is a life than all mothers and health care providers, or vacuum cleaner/coathanger abortionists should be tried and convicted of murder. If a fetus is not life, then abort away. Screw Roe vs Wade. SCOTUS needs to rule on when life begins. That ruling will be very telling about SCOTUS. I call BS on leaving it up to states. Is it life or not? If it is life it is murder. WHEN DOES LIFE BEGIN? SCOTUS?
