Reform it? End all government welfare. So he wants to reform welfare. Does that include the world's largest welfare queen, Israel? Let's start with ending all foreign welfare (aka foreign aid).

This is silly Ender. So the County Department of Health is lying? There are no homeless in San Diego, or they are all going to their clean homes and maintaining proper hygiene? The homeless all have proper hygiene and toilets and washrooms? Wake up and step out of fantasy-land. Everything is not manicured lawns and roses. There is more to San Diego than the GasLamp and Coronado Island. Just because you choose not to see the problem, does not mean it does not exist. Its the age old mentality of "As long as I don't look at it, it does not exist." Sure San Diego has some amazing things to enjoy, as does almost any city. It's got great weather, and beaches. But like any city, there is more to it than the tourist and upscale locales. And transient homeless tend to migrate to warmer cities. San Diego is ranked fourth in the nation for homeless : https://www.cheatsheet.com/culture/cities-with-the-most-homeless-people.html/?a=viewall Despite the most wishful Pollyanna thinking, the folks living below don't have toilets and washrooms. Forgotten History With tension ever mounting in the Korean peninsular, all the higher every year with US bombers conducting annual drills over South Korea within direct strike range of North Korea, it is notable and deeply regrettable the West has lost all sight and memory of the enormous destruction inflicted on the Korean people in the Korean War 1950-53. How can we ever in the West begin to understand the large scale militarization of North Korea if … political assessment and judgement takes no account of Korean history? North Korea was as a matter of historical fact through the Korean war carpet bombed for three years by US bombers. … US B29s bombing was for most of the war free-range over the whole peninsular. …“The US airforce destroyed every town and village in north Korea”. “The destruction was enormous”. In the words of Air Force General Curtis LeMay:“We burned down every town in North Korea …. over a period of three years or so we killed – what – 20 percent of the population”. And this including the very worst of it large scale use of napalm. To quote Senator John Glenn, then a major in the US air force before becoming an astronaut:“We did a lot of napalm work dropping fuel tanks loaded with napalm, flying in low, called a Nape Scrape”. ..

“Fire and Fury” was not invented by Donald Trump. It is a concept deeply embedded in US military doctrine. It has characterized US military interventions since the end of World War II. … President Truman was a firm advocate of “Fire and Fury” against the people of both North and South Korea. What most people in America do not know –and which is particularly relevant when assessing the alleged “threats” of the DPRK to World peace– is that North Korea lost thirty percent of its population as a result of US led bombings in the 1950s. … Pyongyang 1953 The criminal bombings of Pyongyang in 1951 ordered by president Truman, were opposed by General Douglas MacArthur who was commander of allied forces in Korea:“A defiant Douglas MacArthur appeared before Congress and spoke of human suffering so horrifying that his parting glimpse of it caused him to vomit. “I have never seen such devastation,” the general told members of the Senate Armed Services and Foreign Relations committees. At that time, in May 1951, the Korean War was less than a year old. Casualties, he estimated, were already north of 1 million. “I have seen, I guess, as much blood and disaster as any living man,” he added, “and it just curdled my stomach.” …

There may be flaws in the analyses, but Zip’s question however, does not identify any valid flaws. The video plays the recordings with all sounds. Using sound software, the bullet strikes and reports were isolated. Good sound software can do that. It can also measure time lags between sounds. Zippy’s main issue is Zippy’s claim that “He is assuming that all high frequencies are bullets hitting ground.” Zippy rightfully has no issue with the assuming the gun reports are the firing, because they are louder. We know the sound of gun reports. They are identifiable and identifying them is more than mere assumption. The sound is the sound of a rifle report. Zippy understands this, and has no problem with the rifle reports. The video does not assume “all high frequencies are bullets hitting the ground.” Rather, it is only identifying identical high frequency sounds at a high rate in rapid succession that are each followed by a rifle report as the sounds of bullets hitting the ground. (Also of note, bullets striking pavement is not an unknown sound. Like the rifle report, human experience identifies the sounds as consistent with bullets striking pavement). Thus, identifying sounds of bullets striking pavement is likewise more than mere assumption. It is not necessary to determine the “exact moment a bullet hit amidst all the noise.” That is not what the calculation is measuring. It is measuring the time lag between the sound of the bullet striking the ground and the report. Notably measuring the last bullet striking the ground and the following rifle report. Because there are multiple volleys, this measurement can be taken multiple times to verify consistency in the measured lag times. Using this method he arrives at two separate lag times that consistently appear in the recordings made.

Base on reality, actual scaled map measurements. Instead of asking silly questions that you can readily verify on your own, check yourself. Go to MapQuest, Bing Maps, Google maps, even a good road map. Apply the scale and measure.

So according to the Zippy forensics analysis, there were two shooters and neither of them were at the Mandalay. Leave it to the Zippy. Actually Zippy's diagram is incorrect. The distance from the Mandalay's shooter location to the concert venue ranges from 1100 ft (near side of venue) to 1600 feet (far side of concert venue) - a 1350 ft midpoint or 450 yards midpoint. The 450 yards matches with the acoustic analysis presented in the video linked by Swordsmyth:

From Moon of Alabama The Russian company Kaspersky Lab makes and sells the probably best anti-virus protection software available. All anti-virus software packages need full access to the system they run on. It is the only way to assure that the packages themselves are not compromised by some super-virus. Anti-virus packages upload malware they find for further analysis. … Since May 2017 Congress made noise about banning Kaspersky products from the U.S. Defense Department and other government entities. In September the Department of Homeland Security order all federal agencies to remove Kaspersky software from their system. … Similar accusations could be made about any anti-virus product. U.S. and British spies systematically target all anti-virus products and companies:The British spy agency regarded the Kaspersky software in particular as a hindrance to its hacking operations and sought a way to neutralize it. ... An NSA slide describing "Project CAMBERDADA" lists at least 23 antivirus and security firms that were in that spy agency's sights. They include the Finnish antivirus firm F-Secure, the Slovakian firm Eset, Avast software from the Czech Republic. and Bit-Defender from Romania. Notably missing from the list are the American anti-virus firms Symantec and McAfee as well as the UK-based firm Sophos.

So Israeli government hacker spies notify the NSA that the anti-malware Kaspersky systems have identified and captured spyware hacking tools and malware manufactured by the NSA. Could the irony and hypocrisy get any deeper? And shouldn't all anti-malware products be doing the same? Anti-malware is supposed to detect and capture malware, which is analyzed to prevent further infection. Why aren't the American products also capturing the NSA malware tools?

Turkey and Iran to conduct bilateral trade in national currencies Turkey and Iran have officially announced that future bilateral trade will be conducted in Iranian Rial and Turkish Lira. This represents yet another blow to Dollar hegemony … this gives the two countries the potential to treble the current level of bilateral trade which stands at $10 billion per annum, up to $30 billion. … September’s BRICS summit in Xiamen China placed a heavy emphasis on the need for BRICS nations and their partners beyond, to begin developing and implementing different means of exchange than the US Dollar. The fact that the US has levelled sanctions against economies ranging from Russia to Iran and Venezuela to North Korea, while threatening to do the same to China, has only made the need to find alternatives to the Dollar as the standard trading and reserve currency, all the more pressing. In the specific case of Iran and Turkey, the move makes good economic sense as it will achieve a more equitable exchange rate in all areas of trade and will also allow Ankara and Tehran to skirt current and future unilateral US sanctions … In respect of Turkey, Ankara now finds itself on a list of nations, which includes Russia, where US consular authorities will no longer issue travel visas. …

And now The New Yorker add new and far more serious reports including multiple rapes by Harvey Weinstein Excerpts: Since the establishment of the first studios a century ago, there have been few movie executives as dominant, or as domineering, as Harvey Weinstein. … For more than twenty years, Weinstein has also been trailed by rumors of sexual harassment and assault. This has been an open secret to many in Hollywood and beyond, … Asia Argento, an Italian film actress and director, told me that she did not speak out until now—Weinstein, she told me, forcibly performed oral sex on her—because she feared that Weinstein would “crush” her. “I know he has crushed a lot of people before,” Argento said. “That’s why this story—in my case, it’s twenty years old; some of them are older—has never come out.” … Last week, the New York Times, in a powerful report by Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey, revealed multiple allegations … The story, however, is more complex, and there is more to know and to understand. In the course of a ten-month investigation, I was told by thirteen women that, between the nineteen-nineties and 2015, Weinstein sexually harassed or assaulted them, allegations that corroborate and overlap with the Times’ revelations, and also include far more serious claims.

AIPAC is struggling for new window dressing to sell breaching the "Iran Deal". From Antiwar: Major Israel Lobby organization AIPAC was leading the campaign against the Iran nuclear deal for years, and is now struggling to revise the appropriate confines of debate on the matter in the lead-up to President Trump decertifying the deal to try to kill it. AIPAC insists that they take no specific position on whether or not Trump ought to decertify the deal. They are, however, heavily lobbying the administration and US Congress on a new round of sanctions which would amount to a breach of the deal. ... AIPAC appears to be determined to avoid any specific blame on that by structuring its hostility toward the deal as separate from the decertification issue. Yet decertification is the mechanism through which Trump believes he can most easily kill the deal, which is what AIPAC’s been insisting on from the start. In trying to be ambiguous on how the US should kill the deal, as they are still pushing for the deal to be killed, AIPAC is pushing the US down a reckless path while simultaneously preparing to dodge blame when it inevitably goes wrong. ...

FWIW http://thefederalist.com/2017/10/06/6-reasons-right-wing-friend-isnt-coming-side-gun-control/ I’ve seen my friends and colleagues on the Left side of the gun control debate dumbfounded at why Second Amendment advocates don’t seem to budge on their views after mass shootings. So I thought I would try my hand at explaining this phenomenon in the hopes that maybe more will be inclined to have a better conversation about guns and the Second Amendment in America. There are several reasons 2A advocates aren’t running to your side of the argument, and it might not be the ones you think. 1. We Rarely Get to Come to the Conversation in Good FaithThe most destructive, divisive response when dealing with Second Amendment advocates is the notion that we aren’t on your side of the issue because we “don’t care” about the tragedy and loss of life. Two years ago at Christmas I had a family member, exasperated that I wasn’t agreeing about gun control, snarl, “It appears that if your daughter was killed because of gun violence you wouldn’t even care!”

Jules' willful ignorance of simply wishfully believing that evil people like Che didn't really do the things they did. Willful ignorance is no excuse. Or saying that all the executions, mass murders, repressions, totalitarianism and collectivism he did is all forgotten simply because Jules believes "whatever authoritarian anti liberty policy/acts attributed to him, I consider it to be him reacting to CIA policies of regime change and internal destabilization of uncooperative govts." This wasn't just a case of a guy having bad ideas or poor mistakes or misguided policies on some issues. This is a case of outright mass murder and total repression, evil incarnate. Good choice by Jules of comparison of Che with Hitler, as both revolutionaries are two evil peas in the same collectivist, statist, murdering pod. So what next? - promoting and sporting a Hitler avatar, and saying he opposed the Anglo-American powers and the bad things he did are just a reaction, and he "loves" and "looks up to" poor Adolf for opposing the Anglo-American imperialism, despite all the evil he perpetrated. See more on the comparison below. Why bring up Mao and Hitler? Because Jules' same irrational and fallacious arguments to justify Che apply equally as much to them as to Che. Because Che implemented the same totalitarian evils that Mao and Hitler did, albeit Che could only implement his evil on a smaller scale, but he did so with just as much evil fervor and fanatical zest and perhaps more.

Germany, France and UK Defy US President’s Rhetoric on Iran Deal Berlin has released a statement jointly signed by the governments of Germany, France and the United Kingdom, urging the United States not to pull out of the 2015 JCPOA, often referred to as the ‘Iran deal’. The news comes as many suspect that Donald Trump is preparing to defy the advice of his own state department, his allies in Germany, France, Britain and the EU as a whole, as well as the stated wishes of Russia and China and withdraw from the deal. The statement was presented by Germany’s Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel. Gabriel previously stated that the “world will change” if the US pulls out of the deal … Today, Gabriel echoed the words of the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, in stating that if the US withdraws from the JCPOA, it would send the wrong message to North Korea, one which indicates that the US is not willing nor able to adhere to internationally reached agreements. …

They closed the thread before I was able to respond to you, so I just wanted to say, I agree with all of your concerns about Rand Paul. I still think he's better than the other options, but he isn't my ideal. I'm most likely going to vote for him, but I don't blame people who won't. And if I was still going to live in NYS in 2016 (I'm moving to Virginia for college, which as we know is a swingy state) I would be less likely to vote for him. Even still, if the LP candidate is too good to pass up (Someone more like Harry Browne than Gary Johnson... the latter of which was more of a lesser of five evils) I would consider voting for them.
