I think she's banking on a Democratic realignment to the center after this woke stuff passes. I don't think that's likely. The mechanisms in place push them to the left, not the center. She's going to find herself as a woman without a country, as it were.

MMT is just the latest smoke-and-mirrors attempt to hide and excuse socialism. There is no 'pool of underutilized resources' that can be more productively engaged if we accept more government intervention and socialist spending.

It is, of course, great that Trump is doing this. Talk of executive overreach is bullshit. This supposed neutrality within education is a phantasm, it never really existed. If you don't have patriotic education that specifically rejects leftist narratives, the left will colonize the schools, as they already have. They invade institutions that call themselves neutral and then call their brand of neoprogressivism non-ideological. -Teaching your kids that America is a noble place is tyrannical fascism. -Teaching your eight year old son he can be a girl if he wants and should be on hormones is just "science" That's what they believe. In their own minds they have no ideology. They're the last stand before the death camps come to America, and your son wanting to be a girl is just part of that. These are the people who teach your kids. So yeah, bring on the patriotic education. At least there will be some narrative tension between what's supposed to be taught and the people teaching it.

RIP. Gloating over a death (especially since she's a fairly prosaic liberal) is ghoulish and soul-rotting. The GOP will cave, in all likelihood. They have no ability to wield power. They keep waiting for the Dems to repay all these favors. They'll probably be guilted into waiting until after the Democrats steal the election.

In the 1950s the rot had already set in. Boomers get a lot of the blame nowadays, but the seeds were planted before they were born.

3-4, probably. They're priming the pump for Trump to win on election night, only to miraculously swing to Biden weeks later after all the counting is finished. This is going to be a tremendous shitshow.

How long will it be before the corporate press decides that "Kanye's music was never that good to begin with"? Rethinking the albums he made that they lavished praise upon. I'm surprised it hasn't happened already.

Why do so many judges screw up their opinions/decisions with qualifying bullshit like this? Scalia did it in Heller. There are countless other examples of this stoogery. Why are they so bent on leaving semantic loopholes so that down the road some asshole is able to interpret away the rights the ruling is supposed to protect and guarantee? Verily I say the race of men makes a huge steaming pile of dog shyte look appealing by comparison.

I disagree with the premise of the OP. The chinese are not to blame. The problem is the petrodollar empire producing a fountain of overvalued dollars, whereby americans can go shopping elsewhere in the world for cheaper prices than products produced at home. Most of the migration of production is due to this. A secondary effect is the corrupted public education system and post-secondary education financing. A machine turning-out blue-haired civilization hating propaganda parrots isn't one that creates workers skilled to produce real goods.

Having read Mises' Human Action and some of Hoppe's works. I have some thoughts on Trade and Traders developed with an economist's praxeological incentive-based view. I think it is original, at least in application of the method to this subject. If some of you are readers of Austrian economics, this might stir-up some thoughts you will find valuable. Let me know what you think. .

Another prime example of Stupid at work. The answer is clear - Trump is more mentally fit than Biden by long measures. The unanswered question is who is ethically more fit. I suspect Trump wins there as well, but it is the less clear truth. As for running the world - well shit, that fell into the laps of president's past thanks to the Stupid running wild in the streets of HumanTown. These sorts of questions are IRRELEVANT. The root issue at work here is the deeply entrenched corruption of the vast majority of humanity. It is only when people are morally and intellectually mangled beyond good function that the wannabe tyrants are able to foist ever growing degrees of the Stupid, ignorance, and the other Necessities for them to thrive at the cost of what Theye view as the suckers, which they actually are. When the vast majority of the population is reduced to a state of knot-headedness, the Tyrant is able to do whatever he wishes.

Biden would never go on Rogan or probably any podcast that wasn't specifically an establishment Democrat show. I don't know how many of those there even are. Pod Save America is one. Right wing podcasters tend to be more right and left wing podcasters tend to be more left, which is why the podverse is so much more interesting, in general, than corporate media.

I live in LA, so more than some, certainly. Extensions, yeah, but I have never seen a latina woman wear a full-on lace front weave. And her hair in that video is the hair of a mixed black person. It's not quite as wiry as someone with darker skin, she can't do a true afro, but she clearly has some African genetics. Mestizos are a mix of Europeans and Amerindians, neither of whom have hair like that.

Cardi B is the best example of modernity's perfect black woman. 80 IQ, repulsively sexual, yet "liberated" and reflexively down with the cause, with millions of of followers who have parasocial relationships with her. I'm not sure if any group has been so debased and destroyed by the modern world than the urban American black. If asked, Joe Biden would talk about what a bright young lady she is. In her "interview" with him he mentioned fucking Bull Connor, as though she had any idea at all who he was.

I like Cole's writing, but I also think there's something simple that's been overlooked. The left runs the narrative-crafting institutions (the Cathedral.) The Cathedral just doesn't allow leftist grifters to fail, with rare exception. Just look at Shaun King. He was outed as lying about being black around a half decade ago now. He's been repeatedly called out, including by other BLM activists about embezzling money he raised. And yet it doesn't matter. He continues to fail upward Bernie Sanders hired him for his 2020 campaign. The left just doesn't acknowledge that he's a grifter. That would implicate their most powerfulmodern movement and their most culturally relevant presidential campaign. The Cathedral just doesn't address his nature and because they don't have to and don't want to. Whereas every right wing grifter (and there are plenty) are strutted around as prove of the movement's perfidy. Any leftist grift that is unquestionably exposed like Acorn or Rachel Dolezal is quarantined and neutralized.

Yeah, they just want to talk. Why? Because they don't yet have their druthers. Assaulting a GOP politician would still land them in prison and a heap of trouble they're not ready for. These aren't hard scrabble working class hooligans. They're not even really revolutionary Marxists. They're over-educated bourgeois kids who are the tip of the spear of neoliberal corporate leftism. They're not throwing their very expensive education away just because they want to punch a politician. But if they had their druthers, Rand and everyone remotely close to him politically would be dead. In the meantime they'll settle for submission.

They closed the thread before I was able to respond to you, so I just wanted to say, I agree with all of your concerns about Rand Paul. I still think he's better than the other options, but he isn't my ideal. I'm most likely going to vote for him, but I don't blame people who won't. And if I was still going to live in NYS in 2016 (I'm moving to Virginia for college, which as we know is a swingy state) I would be less likely to vote for him. Even still, if the LP candidate is too good to pass up (Someone more like Harry Browne than Gary Johnson... the latter of which was more of a lesser of five evils) I would consider voting for them.
