Might have been better to go to trial, just to expose the corruption. Taking the gun apart and putting it together is so beyond the pale. This needed more attention. But I'm happy for them, of course.

That rally was a tremendous blunder. People cant try to spin it however they want, but Trump isn't nearly as savvy as some insist he is. He's not dumb by any means, but he ain't no 4D chess player.

I'm just beside myself over how many people believe it's real. Really a hopeless feeling. All critical thinking has gone out the window.

Ahahaha! At one point, the female voice says "Operation butt trumpet initiated", lol. Here's my favorite: If I were a police chief, I'd be ordering this stuff by the barrel. If I were Antifa, I'd be throwing it in bottles.

Back before Tump, when those campus protests erupted (can't recall if that was over BLM or not, but I think so), several cities passed anti mask laws to be able to ID Antifa types when they committed crimes. I'm convinced the face mask BS, right now, is preparation for the planned war and so the useful idiots can't be easily identified.

I think it's a shame that that young man wasted his life by making that stupid decision. From what I read, he and his girlfriend had been together since they were 17 and he stayed by her side through whatever hell caused the loss of her limbs and then was her devoted caretaker as well as partner. What a tragic loss for her and his mother. He sounds like he was a good guy but sure got stupid that night. Did he deserve what he got? Well, he pointed his rifle at a driver surrounded by an aggressive crowd, banging on his car. The driver had a reasonable expectation to be able to drive, unmolested, down the street and those fuckheads should have been nowhere his car. I'm getting really sick of these a-holes mobbing streets and even freeways and acting like they're the victims. The only words anyone needs to hear about that issue are REGINALD DENNY. So, in light of that, the young guy did get what was coming to him, unfortunately. The driver was obviously afraid.

From what I've heard, water cannons can actually put someone's eye out. IMO, tear gas seems like the best dispersant, though rioters/protestors have used leaf blowers to blow it back (clever!). Though I've not smelled it but have some seen funny prank videos using it, Liquid Ass (whatever is in that) sounds like a great non lethal substance to clear out out a crowd. I recall the Israelis using it on Palestinians (too bad they usually use bullets) and they called it "skunk". Everyone thought it was sewage so it has be really nasty.

It would be nice to "remantle" the family into something less nuclear and more clannish. It's a far stronger institution. The nuclear family barely lasted a century.

And that's a BINGO. Years ago I took a graduate class in epidemiology with Johns Hopkins and this was the cardinal rule of approach for any outbreak that so much as threatened to become epidemic, much less pandemic. They also drilled it home that masks are of limited value, and by "mask", they meant N95 and N100 only. The masks people are commonly using are quite literally worthless. Plaquenil was used on me for lyme disease, 200mg twice per day with azithromycin. After nine months of being deathly sick with lyme, that combination finally expurgated my body of that odious evil. Anyhow, the campaign of misinformation is everywhere in the attempt to discredit plaquenil. Consider alone the entry from stupid and corrupt wikipedia: "Hydroxychloroquine, sold under the brand name Plaquenil among others, is a medication used to prevent and treat malaria in areas where malaria remains sensitive to chloroquine. Other uses include treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and porphyria cutanea tarda. It is taken by mouth. HCQ is being studied to prevent and treat coronavirus disease 2019. High-quality evidence of benefit for such use is lacking, with concerns of potential harms from side effects."

Well stated. America is now officially a train wreck, and for reasons to which Johnny Q. will likely never twig. So here I sit with popcorn and beer, allowing myself to be dully amused by the killer klownz. I half expect to awaken to find this has all been a very weird dream and that I'm still seventeen, living in a far better America and still with my entire life ahead of me.

Schiff trying to squeeze the corona lockdown as the great crisis he's been predicting since at least 2007 is a stretch, to say the least. This is a guy who was saying the US would look like Zimbabwe before Obama's second term. How many times does a guy -- whose whole career is based his supposed accurate prognostications -- have to be wrong before people realize he's just not that insightful?

Scumbag menaces a motorist with an angry mob while armed in a gun-heavy state and gets shot. Why should anyone care, again? Some are claiming he shot first. He deserved everything he got. The libertarian movement is a complete and utter failure on every conceivable level, and the fact that people like this are attracted to it is yet another manifestation.

China needs to be clipped. It's a sad truth, but true nonetheless. My solution would be to blockade them for no less than 100 years; drive them into the stoneage because anything less and they will be on us at some point. That is the cold, shitty truth of it. Statist culture has won. It is so deeply ingrained in the average psyche, there is no chance of dislodging it any time soon. It may be reduced to dust one day, though my hopes are next to zero on that point, but until that day comes, the superorganisms we know as "states" will have to deal on the basis of superorganisms, especially when going up against the likes of a monster like China which values human life very cheaply. Personally, I'd be inclined to turn every Chinese military installation into glass, sink its navy where they are tied up, and then destroy them economically. Less than this affords a mortal enemy a second shot at you, and that is suicidal decision making. They should be isolated for not a second less than 100 years, that they might have plenty of time to think about what they are and how they really want to relate to the rest of the world. None of that will come to pass, so FTW.

I have been appalled to witness the number of people whom I have known for between 25 and 45 years and whose intellects I have always respected who have bought into the Covid baloney, hook line and sinker. I cannot even believe it, yet there they are.

What's this I'm hearing that the woman's pistol didn't even have a firing pin? And that the DA's office took it apart and put it back together, when it literally could not have been used as a deadly weapon? If true, it might explain some of the shaky trigger discipline.

If the local cops did their job, none of this would be happening. They're standing down because they're told to. It's this new approach to rioting that's emerged since 2014. It's not acceptable for local officials to just allow people to ransack a city. Federalism is a provincial anachronism at this point in history anyway, barring some restoration.

The left is patient because there's no pushback. The right leaves the institutions they colonize to them, believing that said institutions aren't really relevant. The academy, Hollywood, news corps, even cities. The right never really had a foothold in tech to begin with, because people foolishly believed that the internet and tech was "post-ideological." We see the results now. Twenty years of work to get maybe 20-25% of the black vote is far too little far too late. If this was done in the 1990s, maybe. Maybe. I don't think Trump will get beyond 8-10% of the black vote.

Can the AG charge the prosecutor with prosecutorial misconduct? Feds have retried a significant number of cases using human rights violations as the end run around double-jeopardy. Charging that couple is a clear violation of their rights, so I see no reason that a special prosecutor could not charge the local prosecutor with human rights violations. Anyone?

They closed the thread before I was able to respond to you, so I just wanted to say, I agree with all of your concerns about Rand Paul. I still think he's better than the other options, but he isn't my ideal. I'm most likely going to vote for him, but I don't blame people who won't. And if I was still going to live in NYS in 2016 (I'm moving to Virginia for college, which as we know is a swingy state) I would be less likely to vote for him. Even still, if the LP candidate is too good to pass up (Someone more like Harry Browne than Gary Johnson... the latter of which was more of a lesser of five evils) I would consider voting for them.
