Opinions? I'm a mite late to the punch, been very busy with other and more immediate concerns of late, but anyone know anyone that actually has silver in stock? All the places I've gone are either out or want millions per ozt. I seek about 3000 ozt. Ag or maybe 30ozt Au. What say ye?

Really? Huh... Freedom's a pretty damned good idea. It will by all means require force.

My strong suspicion is that the moment Biden is sworn in, Theye will go into full swing. It seems to me that Theye have to move quickly for several reasons. Firstly, strike while the iron is hot - an age old precept - and the iron is at bright, sparking heat. Secondly, if Theye do not take the initiative out of the gate, every moment they waste opens the door further to the possibility, however remote, that enough Americans will get wise and start to move in strongly contrariwise strokes. Theye are THIS close to getting what they want - the final wracking of America. In point of reality, Theye probably don't have to move with such dispatch because so far as I can see, the so-called "real" Americans, aren't. Chances are we will do nothing of substance to stop them, but were I in the position of the Democrats, I would not assume this. I would assume that our demise was imminent and that we needed to strike now and with complete authority before a critical mass has the opportunity to come to some sense. World's about to become interesting.

And this, ladies and gents, is why the left is winning and is just this side of closing the deal for good. No matter what, they suck each others' dicks. The value of cohesion is difficult to overstate. The so-called "liberty movement" doesn't even rate as a joke. Talk is all they do, and they don't even stand by each other, but pick and bitch and insult each other, usually on points of stupid purity. And so here we stand, four days from the end of life as we knew it, the changes all for the worse. Good job. We should all be very proud of ourselves, especially when the left starts in on us on 1/21... if they even wait that long.

You didn't stop in at our place? I'm hurt. What amazes me on a most personal level is my good friend Marshall. I've known him 30 years now. He is an agricultural engineer, grain farmer, 2A defender, a fellow blacksmith, and for Pete's sake he's a Jew. Yet he listens to NPR as if it were religion and anything they say is truth. He hates Trump with a passion, which is fine with me were it well reasoned... though a bit inconsistent when I consider how many times he has gone on almost in hippie style about how hatred is not a good thing. He will always be my friend, but I most sadly feel something of a gulf forming between us, and all because of this Trump nonsense and people's inability or unwillingness to maintain a rational perspective.

Well, this is either the time to toss up the hands and be happier, or the time when happiness has become irrelevant. And to be very frank, I cannot tell which it is, so you may well have chosen wisely. As for me, my "give a shits" are at a fraction of one. Biden will be sworn in and Theye are going to go full tilt against anyone not on their knees.

Most definitely. Elections are part of the national mythology. "Democratic will" is the closest we get to any kind of modern political formula, outside of the specter of The Constitution. They need the talismanic simulacra to legitimize their narratives. The default assumption going forward should be that these elections are all rigged.

While heading into town I put on NPR to get a feel for what the enemy is up to. They were broadcasting the impeachment proceedings live and all I can say is that the Democrats seem to have no ability to express truth. One after the other, with the occasional traitorous Republican in tow, they spewed lies upon bullshit for hours. The feigned moral outrage and their feeble attempts at sounding patriotic were sickening to hear. They should be arrested, tried, convicted, and very coldly executed for the crimes they have committed this day. The one Republican member I liked, and I cannot recall her name, ended her minute on the floor with "I call bullcrap". Pelosi was yielded one minute, but spoke for about eight. The same for most of the Democrats. The miss whose name I cannot recall was cut off at "bullcrap", but from another mic we could hear that she was still talking, so the Democrats showed themselves to be the most scurrilous filth imaginable. The whole ordeal was utterly nauseating. America has hit a new low, the saddest and most foreboding thing about being that it stands to get a whole lot worse in the coming months.

Technology threatens this. 18 years ago I worked on a project for targeting. It was an AI and I am still bound to silence. The capabilities of that system were staggering and I say that as someone in the biz for 40 years. Since I have no desire to spend the rest of my life in a cell, I can give no details - I'm not even sure what I have typed here will not end me up in trouble. If you knew what I know, you would understand that the eight-fold fence becomes less viable by the day. When I did my MBA there was a business plan competition, which my team won. Our patent was for fNIR, function Near-InfraRed tech developed at our school for scanning brain activity. It enabled one to tell when someone was intentionally lying. The DoD was VERY interested in this tech. Sadly, I was the only member of my team interested in taking it beyond the competition. Fucking kids... no ambition. Anyhow. that was 16 years ago and I can assure you that all of these technologies have moved nowhere other than forward in the intervening years. Give it another decade or less and Theye will have in their hands to extinguish freedom at every level of human experience and endeavor. If we don't kill Themme now, chances are good we will never be able to do it.

Uh huh... and yet it is only the one side that's taking it in the neck. Sure, it CAN happen, but when does it? Be serious. At this time, the differences are irrelevant. This is first and foremost a campaign against anything to the right of Mao. Let us dispense with the bullshit attempts at appearing to take a broad view. Right now, right here, the broad view is that there is a campaign to exterminate the right. That little cocksucker Rick Klein called for the "cleansing" of the right. Some have tried to excuse it by speaking for Klein, stating that he meant "ideological" cleansing. Bull. Shit. Never has the term been used in that way. "Cleansing" in the political sense has always meant extermination. Physical extermination, as in the removal of life, as in "welcome my Jewish friends, let's get you all showered and refreshed after your long cattle car journey.... step right this way into the communal bathing parlor." And even if he indeed mean the cleansing of ideology, that move is only 1/10th of a step below that of physical execution. That scumbag declared to the world his desire to see the elimination of half or more of the American people. Anyone still refusing to see that war has been declared upon Freemen by the Weakmen is corrupted beyond redemption and should probably be the first in line for the disintegration chamber.

It's called melanin theory, and it's been around for some time. It's the worst kind of race science mixed in with bizarre pseudo-new age mysticism. Here's the thing; theories like this among urban back communities are common. Guilty whites can check for themselves, if they were to swallow their abject terror for five minutes and actually go to such neighborhoods. They'll tell you all about it. The views of people like Farrakhan and Frances Cress Welsing are extremely widespread, to different degrees. It's a dirty little secret that cultural progs and the managerial state have to keep quiet.

Mass social media purge is going on right now. Bannon, Flynn, many others. They banned the Red Scare Podcast, which is an anti-woke left wing show. This is just getting into gear. And yet, Richard Spencer, the architect of Charlottesville still has a twitter account. Curious

The problem with that is the kind of cultural penetration these companies have is unlikely to be upended. Parler was attempting to be a conservative alternative, but now the demands from far more powerful businesses is that they basically become Twitter, or face blacklisting. There's always another network on a more macro scale that can be attacked. Attack the app>attack the app store>attack the payment processor>attack the web host>attack anyone who allows the app to exist within their frame of business. It's not realistic to expect alt-tech to be able to create their own payment processors or app stores. This is the problem with it being so ideological is only ideologues are attracted to it. Alt-tech needs to offer something that appeals to those beyond their fellow travelers. There are examples of this. Bitcoin being the most famous one, but also Moldbug's Urbit, though the latter is likely too complex to catch on in the way it should. It needs to be on that scale.

That may be the case. But if it is, there's still no market solution to this without significant upheaval and realignment. The market itself is owned by Cathedral.

Any extra steps to have to use an app guarantees it will be at a significant competative disadvantage than apps that don't require that. I'm bullish on alt-tech, but the problem is so many alt-tech firms are just copying what other Cathedral-approved apps do, just at a smaller scale, usually with a worse interface. For alt-tech to really succeed, there needs to be innovation that companies like Parler, Gab, and Bitchute just don't have.

There won't be any conservative equivalent of social media apps if Google and Apple can keep them off their platform unless they have a Cathedral-approved TOS.

Libertarian discourse on the property rights of big tech ended today. It will never get any traction on the right again. The left might use it to buttress their support of big tech, but only because it supports their corporate hegemony. Wokeness is the ruling ideology, and corporations are the main way its enforced. Analysis regarding the state and private business is, at this scale and at this point in history, entirely dated.

In the long run, this might be a good thing. The alignment of interests are now totally clear. Any ridiculous aspiration to neutrality or free speech by big tech is now manifestly farcical. It's not even an aesthetic veneer anymore. This might also be the beginning of the end of the web 2.0 internet model, with a return to many small websites as opposed to 3 massive tech conglomerates. That's the best case scenario.

There's some discussion about this in other threads, but there needs to be a thread with this specifically as the title. Words can't express what an enormous fucking deal this is. Read your Moldbug, people. This is what it means to have a media run state, as opposed to a state run media. The Cathedral is going for broke. The distinction between certain corporate interests and government is entirely illusory. Libertarianism needs a serious update to contend with what's coming. I'm not holding my breath.

I wonder if they whacked him. The BLM riots were obviously so much worse on every level, except for the fact that now a police officer is dead. Could be a big propaganda victory for the Cathedral. On the other hand, he was a Trump supporter, so maybe not.

They closed the thread before I was able to respond to you, so I just wanted to say, I agree with all of your concerns about Rand Paul. I still think he's better than the other options, but he isn't my ideal. I'm most likely going to vote for him, but I don't blame people who won't. And if I was still going to live in NYS in 2016 (I'm moving to Virginia for college, which as we know is a swingy state) I would be less likely to vote for him. Even still, if the LP candidate is too good to pass up (Someone more like Harry Browne than Gary Johnson... the latter of which was more of a lesser of five evils) I would consider voting for them.
