Validity turns on the precise meaning of "textualism". As for tradition, that should have no part of such decisions.

How is it that SCOTUS decides one case based on principle (Roe), yet another (NYS licensing scheme) on "text and tradition"? What in hell goes on inside those skulls? Principle is all that matters. Lynching used to be tradition for southern Democrats, yet I can no longer gather me up a bunch o'negroes and have me a fine old-timey hangin'. The inconsistency of these people underscores the tenuous nature of our liberties when they are placed in the hands of strangers whose abilities and allegiances all stand in deep question.

I'm sure I am mistaken, but this sort of tactic has the feel of something that would stand in violation of election statutes along the lines of "undue influence" or "coercion" pursuant to an outcome that otherwise would be unlikely.

SCOTUS rightly kicks Roe to the curb and the "left" goes apoplectic. Those people seem utterly unwilling to ever give measured responses to any development with which they disagree. It's always exasperated cries of how the sky is falling. When I am alone in the car, I usually listen to NPR because it's good to hear how the enemy thinks. I don't listen with Bibi in the car for fear she will draw her sidearm and put the radio, and possibly some vital system of the car, permanently out of commission. With the overturn, it was the height of cheap amusement to hear the NPR drones going off about how the world was ended. Are they that egregiously ignorant? Dishonest? Both? They claimed it was the end of abortion and contraception. Neither claim is true. All the decision did was to rightly declare that there is no constitutional right to an abortion, which in my thinking strikes more at federal funding, than anything else. They are going off in similar fashion on the 2A ruling. NJ's governor and AG got up before the cameras and waved their hands for all they were worth, declaring how "most New Jerseyans" want strict gun laws and now Joizey has one of the lowest rates of gun violence in the nation, etc. NJ's crime rate is through the ceiling. Murder is high there, but I guess being cut to ribbons, beaten to death, tossed off a precipice, etc., are better than being shot. "...ronka ronka still have to have a permit to carry a concealed weapon in NJ... ronka ronka ronka..." Honesty, basic intelligence, and smarts seem alien to these people.

It was a pleasure to read your informed and thoughtfull comments, and special thanks to Swordsmyth for bringing so many pieces of relevant info to the discussion (as usual). Oh ya, I do have a good link. General MacGregor thinks New Khazaria's troops are not going to drive Russia out of the seperatist regions. What is looking dire is the fevered demons running our governments trying to pull other nations into the conflict now. UK puppets are now howling about engaging British troops against Russia for the long haul. I do hope these traitors to our countries can be stopped, and that I have been sufficiently judicious in my choice of words.

Agree that we have been told to 'stand up for ourselves', but there's quite a lot to learn about the 'we' and the how/when/what about 'standing up for ourselves'. People can conjecture and imagine what God thinks, or they can study it (correctly contextualized and translated - unlike KJV et al). That last bit is going to be very rough going for believers in Churchianity though, which relies on a mistranslated Bible that they must partially unlearn. Luckily I was agnostic most of my life and only found the correctly translated Bible after 40 years of learning ourstory, which aligns perfectly with it and current events. Some of the big wins -- correctly translated, the Bible: Does not conflict with the (possibly inaccurate) theories of solar systems, planetary formations, galaxies etc. Does not conflict with the fossil record or early hominids

I sadly exclaim BINGO. One has also to wonder about the "discovery" of prions in the 1980s. Were they discovered or were they "discovered", if you catch my drift (no, I didn't fart)? It seems strange to me that something so basic as a prion could have remained sub rosa in the context of a world lousy with wild and furious research in the lines of study that would be most likely to discover such entities. I suppose it is possible, but my statistical sense is non-trivially chafed by this notion. I will also note that so far as I can tell, the very first case of mad-cow ever discovered was in Britain in 1986. If prions have been a natural phenomenon since some ancient eon, how is it that it had managed to go undetected until so late? That fact leaves me suspicious that prions are a man-made contrivance, whether intentionally synthesized, or arrived upon by accident. But nobody's talking, so the truth may never be publicly released.

I'm waiting for the reports to start coming in about rising infertility rates. It will be interesting to see how long it takes and how the phenomenon will be couched. Perhaps Theye will even admit to the "vaccine" as culprit. By then, the damage will be done and Theye will be able to frame up the providers as the evildoers... or simply chalk it up to honest errors... big emergency... had to act fast... blah blah... and every guilty soul is off the hook. "We must look forward for solutions to this dire crisis..." It will all be conveniently forgotten as new crises emerge and in a couple of years all talk of "solutions" will have waned to silence. Entire generations will fail to reproduce and in, say 30-50 years Theye will get their precipitous drop in population. Happy happy, joy joy. What will be further interesting will be if per wild chance Theye were to discover in the interim that stepping the population down is a very bad idea. Then what? Imagine the chaos as all the ***** and tranny sorts are then demonized into the oblivion of closeted existence once more, surviving straight people encouraged and perhaps even required to pump out as many children as possible. Sounds absurd, which is precisely why it is plausible.

Yes, it was clearly done on purpose, and as things currently stand with most people choosing options B or C, engaging in option A constitutes a textbook study in pissing up a rope. Critical mass is required and I do not believe we are even close to it. Three percent was enough in 1776. In 2022, I suspect it is not. I'd be surprised if we would hold a shred of hope at ten or fifteen percent. Tech-enabled tyranny has changed the game in a fundamental way.

Before rolling your eyes, I fully acknowledge that what I have written here is nothing new. It is, in fact, old hat. And yet, the ideas here appear to be slipping ever farther from the awareness of the average man, the Meaner. And so I have set my personal take to written word with the intention of offering the world yet another expression of the same old thing in the sliver-thin hope that it may cause a soul or two to twig and come around to a new sense of things, for we are now rapidly descending the drain pipe with the deep end of the septic tank wel in sight, impact not so very far away. Read it if you will, and spread it widely if you feel I am not full of something I ought not be so full of. America was founded as a "constitutionally limited republic". Forgetting the fact that a vast plurality of Americans today do not even know this fact, all too commonly getting things grossly wrong by referring to America as a "democracy", many of even those who know the proper appellation still do not know what it means with any sufficiency. What, then, does it mean to be a constitutionally-limited republic? Let us take a quick look and divine the true meaning of this term which seems to have evaded so many, myself included at a time.

And yet. If what is alleged is true, every single person involved should be executed, especially those in "government". Just when you think you've seen it all, this. I can hardly find the words, but I thank Ms. Brook Jackson for blowing the whistle on these devils. We should hunt them to extinction - every last one. "Outrage" doesn't begin to cover it. I'm still having a hard time believing it's actually true, even in light of my good experience that tells me this should be eminently believable. But here we are.

I have since come to know that she was... <drumroll>... black. And that's a big reason this story has simply vanished into the ether. Had she been an Eville™ white woman, it would still be trumpeted across the globe with calls for her head.

Good on a good mama for giving the Man her finger and getting it done. As for hope, no, not really. Not at these low numbers. We need this sort of defiance going on millions of times per hour. Force Theire hands, either to stand down or escalate. Either way would do, though there is a certain appeal in the thought of sending home a good 100K of Theire useful idiots home in ziplocks.

They closed the thread before I was able to respond to you, so I just wanted to say, I agree with all of your concerns about Rand Paul. I still think he's better than the other options, but he isn't my ideal. I'm most likely going to vote for him, but I don't blame people who won't. And if I was still going to live in NYS in 2016 (I'm moving to Virginia for college, which as we know is a swingy state) I would be less likely to vote for him. Even still, if the LP candidate is too good to pass up (Someone more like Harry Browne than Gary Johnson... the latter of which was more of a lesser of five evils) I would consider voting for them.
