I regard college sports as a very different proposition from the professional. I find it most interesting, if a mite perplexing, to note how it was the professional sports that chose to flirt so intimately with suicide and not the college varieties... at least so far as I am able to tell. Given what passes for sanity on the vast majority of college campuses today, one would think that if the diseases of left-thinking were to ooze their ways into sports, that it would have started in our most esteemed institutions of higher propaganda. That the pros decided to bend over for the Stupid prior to the colleges surprises me, and very little manages to do so these days.

With respect to the relatively recent developments in American professional sports... It would appear that these various organizations are not yet twigging to the fact that a gross majority of Americans are now officially fed up with the nonsense of the so-called "progressives", or "regressive toddlers" as I like to call them. I find it fascinating that BASEBALL and FOOTBALL of all things would go communist-stupid. "American as baseball and apple pie" didn't become a standard expression because the teams and the overarching organization were proud communists, crapping on the nation that made their very existence possible. The same may be said for the NFL. That basketball took up such a stance is not surprising in the least, other than the rank and vast stupidity that it took to actually put "black lives matter" on their jerseys. But I suppose this is the predictable result of having been the darlings of so many millions of Americans for so many decades. They actually came to the oh-so-mistaken conclusion that they were important - that their opinions beyond their respective games actually mattered.

I might be the only one who cares about this, since I paid attention to battle rap as a teen and I actually know who these two guys are. But this might be the worst, cringiest thing I've seen in the last several election cycles. Every moment of this is awful, patronizing, embarrassing, not to mention terribly produced. DNA (the smaller guy in the Bulls jacket) even says "Biden has a plan for African Americans" FFS. It took me almost 15 minutes to watch this 4 minute video due to the cringe. The real interesting thing though, is the comments. Maybe I was wrong about Blexit. Maybe the future for black Americans isn't as "blue" as it might seem...

The emails are obviously real. If they weren't they'd be shouting from the rooftops about how they're forgeries. They can't claim that and they're just trying to dismiss it as "Russian disinformation" which is about surprising as a sunrise. They're trying to draw attention to the strange chain of custody, and it is a weird story. But weird things happen all the time, especially with drug addicts. Even if the actual story behind the computer is different than what's been said, that doesn't cushion the blow against Biden.

I find that a likely correct take. These guys are sneaky in their use of language. They tell you exactly what they intend in ways that lead far too many people to interpret their words otherwise. Humans.

Once again libertarian discourse has nothing cogent to say about woke capital. A right wing ideology that cannot address these things will fail. Liberalism (classical or otherwise) has failed. The question now is what replaces it.

And this leads me to wonder a mite about Trump's hand in all this. He must know what is going on - he is, after all, an MBA and from the school right across the street from where I did mine. Could be that he's simply unable to alter what is surely the bipartisan tide of borrow and spend. Were he to stop what has been done since at least the late 1930s, the house of cards would crash into a great smoldering heap. At the very least there would be a solidly unified bipartisan call for his head on a pike, replete with impeachment, trial, and defrocking. What I wonder is whether he sees a way out of this that doesn't result in fifty million or more dead Americans. Could be possible sell/manufacture our way out of the debt? It's not as far-fetched as it may sound on the surface. Contrary to popular belief, we can indeed continue to go on like this indefinitely so long as people remain able to feed, clothe, and house themselves decently.

Actually, no. The question turns on the premise of who's right v. the wrong. The sovereignty of the individual, as well as the absolute nature of the principles of proper human relations, all of which are readily demonstrable as being objectively correct, define the right. Anything else is provably wrong. The relativism of the progressives is utter nonsense. Given this, those who not just refuse to accept objectively correct principles of such relations and who endeavor in materially effective ways to bring insurrection against those who live by those principles, forfeit their claims to life for precisely the reason that they strive to violate those very claims held with equal authority by their fellows. Exterminating such people is no different that a man who shoots and kills another who attempts to bring him harm. Equal rights, non-aggression and all that apply only where relations are properly and mutually respectful. The moment a man departs from such relations, he places himself in immediate peril of his very life. It matters no whit whether he does so seriously or in jest. It matters no whit whether he does so in words or more physically obvious and substantive actions. The moment one issues a threat against the property rights of another, he places his life in the hands of others and if he loses it, the doleful result rests with him solely. That is why proper manners and respecting interpersonal boundaries are so vitally important to free people. The casual ways in which people approach and treat one another is anathema to liberty. Sadly, that casualness is abetted and even advocated by law (at least in America). I could go on about the how's and whys, but that stands to be a long discussion. WE caused it. Remember, "government" doesn't really exist.

This should surprise you in no way, given the events of the middle section of the twentieth century. It is a sad truth that the average human is a beast, only that is a gross and unjustifiable insult to beasts the world over. Human beings are the most dangerous creatures on this planet... and probably on many, many others as well. I can think of nothing so terrifyingly dangerous as a frenzied mob of humans. If you want to see a prime depiction of this, however fictional, watch the scene from The Sand Pebbles when Steve McQueen's little coulie helper is being chased by the raging mob, only to be caught, trussed up, and his chest laid open with a blade as the first gesture of blind, raging hatred just before the fun was to really begin, prompting Steve-0 to take up a Springfield and put a bullet through the poor caught bastard's heart for the sake of mercy. Oh, and in case you're wondering what life may be like after Nov. 3, consider that someone has authored a "guide" for the left that people of that bent may organize and disrupt and destroy, ostensibly in defense of free and fair elections. If you want to read it for yourselves, go here: Stopping the Coup: The 2020 Guide - Google Docs , part of the raft to be found at The Disruption Project These people are serious, well funded, sly as foxes, apparently eager to employ useful idiots as canon fodder, and therefore extremely dangerous. Will they act on their claims and other assertions? I've no clue, but I would never assume that they are hot air.

Tempting to roll one's eyes at this, but this is how things went in places like Russia, China, and the many others that resulted in well over 250 million corpses at the hands of state-driven mobs gone wild, as well as its formal enforcers who were often employed to "tidy up" those mobs once their purposes had been fulfilled. All that in the course of about fifty years, which is a whole boat-load of murder. A curiously open-ended way of putting things, interpretable so broadly, so variably. What, I wonder, did he actually mean by it?

Qanon is fairly deranged boomer cope, so this isn't that surprising. But breaking up families over politics is a largely leftist phenomenon. They openly proclaim that you should leave your spouse if they vote for Trump or keep their kids grandparents away if they're Republicans. Of course that's not going to get a story in the Post.

Borat feels like such a relic from the 2000s, especially considering how non-updated the sequel seems to be. A Hollywood millionaire making fun of Republicans for a bunch of bourgeois people who hate Fox News like it's still 2006. A Borat sequel that is really as transgressive in 2020 as the first one was 15 years ago would be very interesting, but that's not what we're going to get. Instead we get more of the weird, pseudo-transgression that has to be made palatable to millenials in humanities departments and social media activists.

The possibility that Jo Jorgensen will get more votes than Gary Johnson is in the low single digits. I think we're entering into new levels of postmodernity where things that used to be at least fairly reliable like polls are now totally unreliable.

Pence won. It was overwhelming. Harris isn't a good debater. She wasn't last year and isn't now either. The Dems started believing their own bullshit about how she's a shark, a killer who would come in and slice Pence up in front of everyone. It was never true. Now let's see what the spin is.

They closed the thread before I was able to respond to you, so I just wanted to say, I agree with all of your concerns about Rand Paul. I still think he's better than the other options, but he isn't my ideal. I'm most likely going to vote for him, but I don't blame people who won't. And if I was still going to live in NYS in 2016 (I'm moving to Virginia for college, which as we know is a swingy state) I would be less likely to vote for him. Even still, if the LP candidate is too good to pass up (Someone more like Harry Browne than Gary Johnson... the latter of which was more of a lesser of five evils) I would consider voting for them.
