The 16A did not create the Income Tax. It was created under Lincoln.

There is a distinct pattern throughout American history: When tax rates are reduced, the economy's growth rate improves and living standards increase. Good tax policy has a number of interesting side effects. For instance, history tells us that tax revenues grow and "rich" taxpayers pay more tax when marginal tax rates are slashed. This means lower income citizens bear a lower share of the tax burden - a consequence that should lead class-warfare politicians to support lower tax rates. Conversely, periods of higher tax rates are associated with sub par economic performance and stagnant tax revenues. In other words, when politicians attempt to "soak the rich," the rest of us take a bath. Examining the three major United States episodes of tax rate reductions can prove useful lessons. http://www.heritage.org/node/18247/print-display

SPOKANE, Wash. -- Spokane Police are honing in on a man they suspect of slapping women on their back sides along the Centennial trail. They started getting reports about it this weekend and now more than a half dozen people have come forward. Police said runners, walkers and anyone who uses this trail should feel safe and comfortable. Investigators are still interviewing victims and collecting any video evidence they can find. Spokane Police said they are taking this case seriously. Officials said this is assault with a sexual motivation, which is a gross misdemeanor. They hope to make an arrest this week. "People should be able to walk down the Centennial trail, at Gonzaga Campus or wherever and not be assaulted," said Spokane Police Public Information Officer Shane Phillips. Police are reminding people to always be aware of your surroundings when you are out and about.

Then don't volunteer to take the cash being offered to take a later flight the few times that even becomes an issue. if the price is right, they will find volunteers who can wait and are not desperate for their next peyote fix.

No, they just probably want to remain on the good side of Law Enforcement so they can rely on them in the future for legitimate reasons to get a security threat off of their airplanes.

In a phone interview with The Associated Press, Demetrio said the settlement also averts any lawsuit against the city of Chicago. Airport police officers who work for the city pulled Dao off the jet. "United Airlines has taken full responsibility and has acted accordingly," he told the AP. "I praise Mr. Munoz and his people for not trying to throw the city under the bus or pass the buck. He stood in front of the world and has stated that, 'We, United, take full responsibility.'" Demetrio said it was "unheard of" for a company to admit responsibility "in the fashion they have done."

I think the bad PR that would come of that is why United settled vs. fight it.

People don't realize a reduction of so-called "over booking" will result in higher fares, as I have explained earlier.

Yep, they will just pocket the cash and not let government redistribute it to more worthy causes. Their competition will meanwhile reinvest and grow until they put these greedy corporations out of business and disrupt they lives of thousands if not millions. We need more taxes and intervention to prevent this.

DETROIT (WWJ) – While some are dragged off a plane kicking and screaming for refusing to give up their seat or berated and bashed with a stroller, a Garden City woman has filed a civil suit against Delta Airlines after she says she was sexually assaulted on a flight from Myrtle Beach. And she says the flight attendants did nothing to stop the Native American man next to her from masturbating or assaulting her until they landed. The passenger on that flight was convicted last month of assault and indecent exposure. The convictions stem from two separate incidents on the Delta flight; exposing himself to the flight attendants and the second is for taking another seat on the plane and assaulting a female passenger seated in coach. The victim’s attorney, Jordan Acker, says it happened on a flight from Florida to Detroit on July 27, 2016, when the perpetrator unapologetically exposed himself on the flight while masturbating in his seat and then was allowed to move freely around the cabin. He eventually settled in next to the victim, a waitress and mother of a 15-year-old girl, and reached his hands under her shorts. “While he was doing this, the defendant told her that he ‘liked white women’ and asked ‘where’s your man?'” the complaint says. The victim says she told the man to stop and said her kids were sitting behind her. He eventually left, the complaint says, and went back to masturbating in his own seat with his penis exposed. “And this gentleman, if I want to call him that, was fondling himself in first class — he was noticed about 40 minutes into the two-hour flight by a flight attendent — the flight attendent apparently called down to Detroit to make sure that police would be there to arrest this man,” said Acker In the Sentencing Memorandum filed with the court he is alleged to have told FBI agents, in part, “that he likes to sit with his hands in his pants and massage his penis, and called this “his happy place.”” He went on to state that “he did not mean for the flight attendants to see his penis but that it is possible that they did.”

    Hey there stranger,

My PMs won't work so will post this here. I was late to see that your husband passed, I am so incredibly sorry. We're all here if you ever need anything, even just someone to talk or vent to.

But for my own selfish reasons, I'm really glad to see you around here again.

Stay strong my favorite RPFer. You're one of the good ones, and I hope your luck starts to reflect that again.

Wow, really?? You thought it was that bad? I thought it was interesting. All these libertarians who were so pissed off at Rand, are now coming around. I thought it was interesting how different factions are willing to support him.

Not very timely help on that trebuchet thing. You're supposed to read my mind and help me out before I make the post about the catapult! It's not nice to leave a gentleman up in the air at a critical time like that...
