Amazing, this guy never heard of the "child" soldiers of the Minutemen, who all were expected to have their own infantry capable weapons ready to muster along with themselves. No, what they would find amazing is not that they could buy weapons, but that they could not buy beer.

CNN’s Gagliano: The Founders ‘Could Not Envision’ an 18-Year-Old Buying ‘A Weapon of War’ http://www.breitbart.com/video/2018/02/19/cnns-gagliano-the-founders-could-not-envision-an-18-year-old-buying-a-weapon-of-war/ On Monday’s broadcast of CNN’s “New Day,” CNN Law Enforcement Analyst and retired FBI Supervisory Special Agent James Gagliano stated that the Founding Fathers “could not envision that an 18-year-old kid could go in a gun store, he can’t buy beer, but he could buy a semiautomatic weapon, and it’s a weapon of war.” Gagliano began by saying that the tip the FBI received about the Parkland shooter should have been passed on to an agent, and “somewhere along the way” there was a mistake in the handling of the tip. Later on, after the discussion turned to gun control, Gagliano stated, “I’m a veteran. I’m a former law enforcement officer. I’m a gun owner. I have a concealed carry permit. I am a hunter. I’m the exact person who needs to step up and say, we invented gunpowder in 700 AD. The first guns were mid-14th century invented. The — 1791, the Second Amendment comes online. And here we are in 2018, and we’re hanging onto this and we’re going, ‘We just can’t talk about this. Because if we do that, we’re somehow going to tick off the Founding Fathers.’ The Founding Fathers could not envision that an 18-year-old kid could go in a gun store, he can’t buy beer, but he could buy a semiautomatic weapon, and it’s a weapon of war. … It has a collapsible stock. It has a pistol grip. It has detachable magazines. We have to make sure that those kinds of things don’t fall into the hands of somebody like this.”

It might surprise you, but I disagree. The pro gun movement has been one of the few successful political movements based on a freedom issue out there. I can recall when there was serious consideration being given to banning all handguns at the federal level, "permitted" concealed carry was very rare, constitutional carry unheard of, bans of "assault" weapons commonplace and so on. Zippy will certainly refute this with discredited Gallup polling on the issue, but more people have more guns than ever before. And violent crime, in spite of occurrences such as this latest, continue to remain at record low levels.

Is anybody here surprised? That's the hardest, most bitter pill I have ever had to swallow in my adult life: when it became clear, while trying to promote and campaign for the good doctor, that the AmeriKunt people do not want freedom. They hate it, they will fight you from achieving it, and they will give it up in a heartbeat, for safety, for convenience or simply because they do not give a fuck. It is the only thing I strongly disagree with Ron about... Freedom is NOT popular.

Rules is da rules...she appears to be in full compliance, so let her ski. That's one of the things that chaps my ass about the compliance/regulation culture we all live under. Ya'll want a rule and a law and a regulation for every single damn thing, then get pissed when somebody complies with them all to achieve a result ya'll don't want, because you were not able to conceive of rules that would cover every single damn thing. So then we all get more rules. The common sense solution would be to do it the way teams are picked in the sandlot.

I don't see how this verse is misogynistic. I'm sorry maybe you feel as though biological sex is a myth like progressives do these days. The verse is instructing men to protect and take care of women because that's their natural disposition as men. I'm going to soon question reading comprehension skills. I quoted Ibn Abbass who was a companion of the prophet and therefore we take his word as law. I quoted no modern scholars. What I said is established Shar'iah regarding that verse. If you want to live in denial because of your preconceived world view, that's a delusion you will have to subscribe to alone.

Why no response to anything I said in my previous post? It's easy to post scriptures like the one above, but it doesn't negate anything I said. I already mentioned this passage earlier. I was about to go over all the different interpretations of that passage (there are a few, from a vegetarian/vegan perspective) but I honestly was not intending to get into a Bible study tonight, and that is not even the topic of this thread anyway, so we can go into more detail on this at another time, on another thread. For now I'll say this. Picture in your mind a timeline. At the very beginning, you have God's perfect will (peace and harmony among all living beings, no violence, no killing, no meat eating)...And then at the end, when God restores that original design, once again you'll have God's perfect will. Everything in between is a symptom of this fallen world. Not God's perfect will, but in many cases God giving us over to what we want, due to the hardness of our hearts. So when you look at that timeline, and you see on the left and on the right, God's perfect will… and in the middle this fallen world… what should we, as Christians, aim for? Unless it is a matter of survival, why not honor God's original design and His ultimate plan which he is moving us toward, as we speak? Why not think about the condition of mankind overall, and question why there is so much disease, violence, corruption? Perhaps if we go back to how God originally designed us – to be peaceful, non-violent, and to eat a healthy plant-based diet – then we would see a reversal of these diseases and destruction of this beautiful earth God gave us stewardship of. Also, think about the fruit of the Spirit. What is more in line with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control – a slaughterhouse or a garden? :) Please answer honestly.

Genesis 9:2-4 (KJV) 2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered. 3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things. 4 But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat. For anyone who hunts, when you kill an animal you need to drain the blood and remove the inner organs quickly, or it will ruin the meat.

Problem with appealing to amendment II is the "militia" part. Specious argument of course, but most people don't understand the legalese and read their own interpretation into it. I prefer amendment X.

Again, the important thing is God's original design/intent, which is the same as God's ultimate plan, as prophesied in Isaiah and other places. Since God does not change, I believe it is wrong to dismiss God's original design by cherry picking verses that may at first glance appear to contradict it. There are a few different interpretations of that verse about Abel and his offering. The mainstream interpretation seems to be that once sin came into the world, that's when sacrifices were introduced, to of course foreshadow Jesus' sacrifice for our sin. Since this represented something very serious and horrible, it was not something to be done lightly. (And btw, nowhere in that text does it say they ate meat. In fact, that verse doesn't say that Abel killed anything, just that he brought God the best of his flock.) There are a couple other views on that passage… But I don't have time right now to get into all of that. Also, I think it's very important to know that God repeatedly said that he has no pleasure in animal slaughter and he never required it. (Psalm 51:16, Hosea 6:6, Jeremiah 7:22, Isaiah 1:11, Matthew 9:13, Hebrews 10:8, Psalm 40:6, Mark 12:33, Jeremiah 32:30, etc.) So when you put all that together – the heart of God, a heart of love, mercy, compassion, along with his very clear words in Genesis 1:29, and the numerous verses about his desire for mercy, not sacrifice…I think it is wrong to assume that God has no problem with what we are doing with animals.

The only time they did was when they were an opposition party and it didn't matter much. That's the only thing they are good for. They cannot and will not "take charge" and push freedom issues forward.

LOL, no kidding. As I see it, there are only two options open to us: 1 - Ghost, monk, MGTOW. Let it all burn down, stand back far enough and try not to get burned, and rebuild from the ashes after the virus has burned itself out. 2 - Stand up and throw a net over these collective Bolsheviks that are ruining this society, and set things right again. Not sure which is best in the long run, or if number two is even achievable.
