So according to you to be pro liberty you must be anti capitalism, against people who seek to improve their wealth, be against family, and be for having no constitution in the border area. Got it.

You already said there's really no difference between Republicans and Democrats. And frankly you are anti liberty so why do you care if anyone else is pro liberty? The foundation of any great society is the family. America was once pro family. Having more Americans who are pro family is pro liberty. Since you are anti liberty I guess that explains why you are anti family and anti capitalism.

Singapore, according to the Heritage Foundation, is more liberty oriented than the U.S. And the U.S. no longer follows our bill of rights. Fear mongering post 9/11 took care of part of that. Fear mongering over immigration took care of the rest. That is why there is a constitution free zone in the border area around the U.S. Does that not bother you?

Up until recently most Asian immigrants voted republican. It was overwhelming. People like you are self defeating. 1) The Boers never assimilated at that is your litmus test for "good immigrants." 2) LOL at your lie about "most blacks came mostly from the outside." Most of the blacks in South Africa are from South Africa.

Singapore, an Asian country IS THE NUMBER 1 COUNTRY ON THE HERITAGE FOUNDATION LIBERTY INDEX! You don't know jack about liberty, capitalism, or even basic arithmetic.

I don't care one way or the other about people coming over the border. But Trump is going to do that. He already said he is. You've been suckered. When he was running he talked about a "big beautiful hole" in the wall you want so badly. When he was negotiating for amnesty he was talking bigger numbers than even Rubio. See https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-42825431 Really you are being played for a sucker. And all of this "Let's stop even the LEGAL immigrants" talk only helps the democrats. The legal immigrants are already here LEGALLY. Why should they support your agenda?

It doesn't matter to the fear mongers here who have traded immigration policy for foreign policy as the liberty litmus test.

Being a right wing authoritarian country doesn't make you 'freer." But by your own index Hong Kong an Singapore are at the top of the list. Those are Asian countries. So...by your reasoning, we should let in more Asians. Edit: More from El Salvador digging into your own link After its 12-year civil war ended in 1992, El Salvador enjoyed strong economic growth and poverty reduction with aggressive free-market policies under a succession of center-right National Republican Alliance presidents. Since 2009, governments of the leftist Farabundo Martí National Liberation Front (FMLN) have increased the state’s role in the economy. President Salvador Sánchez Cerén will leave office in 2019 with a record of anemic economic growth, weak government effectiveness, a surge in violence and drug trafficking, and rising gang-related homicides. The economy relies on exports of coffee, sugar, textiles and apparel, gold, ethanol, chemicals, and electricity and the assembly of intermediate goods. Remittances account for nearly one-fifth of GDP, and one-third of the population lives below the poverty line. The latest is that the center-right National Republican Alliance is taking back over the government. The National Republican Alliance currently has the most seats in the legislature. (41.72%). They just got back in power. Your analysis of El Salvador is like analyzing the Trump administration as being left wing because there is still legislation left over from the Obama administration.

You said yourself in the other thread that Republicans are really better than Democrats. You keep contradicting yourself. The first loyalty for Asians (and really for any civilized group) is to family. If you take two parties that aren't really that different (according to you) and one says "Sure you can bring your family over" and the other says "Sorry. We can't let you bring your family over because you are not becoming lazy like most Americans fast enough." then who are you most likely to vote for?

What the ...? No. You are projecting yourself onto me. I'm not the one that's been running around screaming "The imgrants are gonna vote for the dems!" Nor am I pushing the swampcreature agenda of increasing the police state to fight the latest made up crisis. Donald Trump is a swamp as they come. You will finally realize this when, after he builds his megawall, he puts that "big beautiful door" in the middle of it. South Africa has a history going back to the 1800s and it wasn't at all peaceful. It's far more peaceful now. It's in much better shape than may of the former Soviet block countries that's for sure. And yes I have seen the right wing propaganda on that. But regardless, if you are so against immigrants and want them to go "home"...the Boers are immigrants. The net amount of child prostitution would not change one iota. In fact you'd likely have more children born in the U.S. kidnapped and sold into sex slavery.

We are losing votes to the left because we decided to kiss the butts of the people on the right who hate us (people who really love liberty) anyway.

 You really don't understand how self contradictory you are do you? Someone who loves liberty would want as many of their relatives who aren't living under conditions of liberty to come to a place of liberty. Just look at your own analysis of what happened to the "injuns." The "liberty" loving Europeans wrote back home and said "This place is great! Get on over here as fast as you can!" So a party full of people saying "We don't want your relatives here and we'd rather you go home too." is a natural enemy. You're making your own enemies. And LOL @ "they love money and power." Ummmm...that's the definition of capitalism. So basically you're saying that they can't be good republicans because they love being rich? Have you totally lost your mind?

Hillary dug such a hole for democrats by attacking U.S. workers, especially coal miners, that I don't see how any democrat can walk that back in the sort term. Really it will come down to the economy. The swing voters who voted Trump over Hillary largely did it for economic reasons. The left just doesn't get it. Trump is taking a huge gamble on tariffs. If U.S. farmers start going bust, which may happen due to China retaliatory tariffs, he will be in trouble. Otherwise I think he's unbeatable. The best thing that could happen for him would be for dems to gain the house and do something stupid like try to impeach him. A failed impeachment helped Bill Clinton get elected. But I'm predicting the electorate and economy now as opposed to what Trump will do and that's a much more dicey proposition.

You're welcome. For the record who is advocating open borders? I haven't despite claims by others in this thread. Or I guess I have to ask what you mean by open borders. If people with gang tattoos (obvious MS-13 members) are kept out but the moms and kids are let in, is that open borders? I gave the example earlier in this thread about how, even though I can as a U.S. citizen travel from Arizona to California, I have had my fruit quarantined at the California border. Is that open or closed borders? Of course this is a sticky situation especially when you consider the history of MS13. They were started in the U.S. by the children of Central American immigrants fleeing military and drug violence in Central America. These kids ended up in the inner city, formed gangs for protection for local U.S. street gangs, then realized "Hey! We've got connections to drug producers in Central America. Let's make some money!" Drug war and U.S. military policy in Central America blowback.

A border wall won't keep out patsies that the MIC is determined to bring in. You know it and I know it. The CIA shepherded in the hijackers past the security set up to keep them out. The underwear bomber was let on the plan without a passport. One incident happened under a republican president (Bush), and the other happened under a democratic president (Obama). And Trump has already said he wants a "big beautiful door" in the border wall that he's going to build and Mexico is going to pay for.

LOL at someone who says how someone else "should feel" and complains about passive aggressive attitudes. People should feel how they should feel. That said, I "feel" more assaulted by sweetheart deals brokered by multinational corporations than I do some mom trying to escape gang violence in El Salvador caused by the U.S. drug war. You feel more assaulted by the mom? Okay. You have a right to your feelings. I won't tell you how to feel. But again, the woman who's story spawned this thread is a legal immigrant. Who did she assault?

They're only illegal because of current law. The woman who's story spawned this thread came here legally. And, as I mentioned earlier in this thread, I've been stopped and had my fruit quarantined when traveling from Arizona to California. The system with the Mexican trucks is that a "special" invitation, that most Americans don't even know about, has been granted to a small group. Crony capitalism. I thought everyone on this forum understood the problem of crony capitalism. I guess not. Edit: And I should point out that nobody in this thread has called for non enforcement of current U.S. immigration law.
