We are in agreement on that. The last part of what you said is what I try to get across to people who think that we can do whatever we want with animals. But unfortunately, to unbelievers those words usually fall on deaf ears.

I didn't say anything about the OP, I just replied to AF, so please only argue things I actually said. Man was given dominion, but I'm not sure what your point is. It seems that we agree Dominion means we rule over the animals, but it doesn't mean we own the animals. God is the owner, we are the managers or caretakers. I've posted this before, but for anyone who hasn't watched it, please take a few minutes to watch it. :)

You contradicted yourself. Why should our behavior have anything to do with animal behavior, when humans are not animals, as you just admitted? Because we are not animals (or savages) that is all the more reason for us to not act like savages. Only according to man-made laws, but we all know man-made laws do not constitute actual truth.

Of course they're going to say it's a beautiful wonderful way of life. ("And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.") But as you said, it's not surprising that people would be going over to to witchcraft or new agey false religions, when you consider the hypocrisy or emptiness of many "old-line" churches. I really do hate to say that, but unfortunately it's true. It's what caused me to leave religion altogether (and God, throwing out the baby with the bathwater) for many, many years.

74° here and partly cloudy. According to my weather app, it's going to be in the 80s over the next few days. But I'm planning to go somewhere where it's snowy, so in about a week I'll be freezing. :)

I stopped by RPF tonight, after being gone for a while… and a certain someone gave me 3 neg reps on old posts (like this one), for no apparent reason other than to be spiteful. To the little guy who did that… If you disagree with me on something, why not post a reply and start a conversation, instead of giving me 3 out-of-the-blue neg reps in a row? :) Or was I right, that you just did it to be spiteful, in a high schoolish sort of way? Lame, very lame.

This was very sad. My sister was a huge fan way back in the day. Like many other former teen stars, he battled alcoholism and drugs for a long time. Little tidbit of info, I saw him in person one time when I was working at Nordstrom in West LA.

Happy Thanksgiving, you all. Mine is going to be very special this year because I'll be with my other half for the first time. :)

That's how things have been for them for a very long time. I don't think there's anyone who's more "teflon" than Mr. slick. But I hope that by some miracle that will change.

Nope, the last time I drank was October 31, 2003. The second best decision I ever made in my life. I've learned you don't need alcohol to have fun. My first night out as a non-drinker, I remember I had a great time, with no hangover the next day. And I said to myself "why the hell didn't I do this years earlier?" :)

You reminded me...on my 21st birthday, I actually ate the worm in the bottle of Mezcal. The guy I was dating at the time had brought a bunch of those little bottles and at my party a bunch of them ate the worm. Then the entire party was chanting at me to eat the worm ('Do it! Do it! Do it!") so it was total peer pressure, and I guess because I was a little buzzed, I did it. Anyway, I've already been there done that when it comes to drinking… now I have an entirely different perspective. One that I know is not very popular around here. So I'm sure you know how I voted. :p

So do you use alcohol as an escape? Or you just think it's fun to get drunk and fall over? (Like you said… You knew these kinds of questions were coming.) ;)
