Canned response #1: "all poor people are lazy, because it's not possible to be poor unless you're lazy." Canned response #2 "employers have a moral obligation to pay whatever a person needs to live, regardless of what their labor is worth." This is why we can't have nice things.

If you really want to call me pointing out that these two have a LONG history of lying and use the junkiest of junk science to promote their "theories" and generate money for their business as coming "to the rescue of big pharma and our legal system that protects the biggest criminals (including the medical industry)" then let me know now as it's pointless to talk to you past this. I didn't "defend" anyone. Instead I pointed out why banking any kind of validity to this article is a being extremely intellectually dishonest. Thank you for providing yet more proof how this preconceived notion and bias makes the vast majority of people within the anti-vaxx movement so completely ignorant of facts. The only point I made was relaying the stated reasons (which Stefano Montanari HIMSELF has stated as the reason for the raid and seizures, but he's probably part of the Big Pharma conspiracy, amirite?) for the event. And again you're equating stating simple facts regarding a case or person as blanket defense of this global cabal. That's a nice way to keep that personal world view safe by taking any thing that discredits anyone or any stance within your view as a blanket defense of your perceived "enemy stance". This is like you covering your ears and screaming, "Nyah Nyah" and going on to tell yourself that you have a black belt in intellectual judo.

Sigh.....and this is where you fail, Donnay. You explain away anyone who disagrees with you with labels like sheep, blind, unwilling to "research", paid shill, ect.....but you are the one who glaringly does zero amount of looking into anything past a piece that says what you want to be true. I got that information from a few places. One would be school (understanding certain basic sciences like chemistry and biology), but the rest came from your sources (which I read) as well as the sources listed in support of your original. That's to insure I grasp what is being presented. Then, I start looking for articles which dispute the claims made (to understand what is presented as wrong with the other). Then I simply do a little fact checking on things like processes used, methods used, who is making the claim, ect. http://www.google.com You'll need that to look up a good translator because pretty much the only English articles to be found regarding this are only to be found on anti-vaxx sites. All the true news sites covering it are going to be found in Italian, as the truth of the case in no way makes it interesting to anyone outside that area. I'll post a few links to get you started, but if I can take the time to translate them because I don't like talking out of my ass then you'll understand why I would expect no less from you or anyone else. The original bulldog was the Olde English Bulldogge (Pits, American bulldogs, Bull Mastiffs, English Bulldogs, Rotts, ect all descend from the breed), although back then they were simply called bull dogs as they were bred purely for bull baiting. We're actually lucky that they bred with other breeds to keep their genetics and traits available because it wasn't very long after bull baiting was banned that the original breed literally was extinct. But in the 1970s when Carolina Dogs (the American wild dingo) had been captured and examined making national news about this as domestication became the "in thing", another breeder (I forget his name) got interested in the bull dogs original ancestor. While not a true "Olde English", he recreated the breed by basically reverse breeding it's ancestors based on getting physical traits he could find in paintings and sculptures, and gauged temperament based on writings of the dog from the time period. The ONLY reason I know this is I stumbled on a breeder of them while looking for an American bulldog. But I'm glad I did, as I've owned several different bully breeds but have never seen such an even keeled dog with (and I know this will sound cliche', but I promise I'm being literal) a young child's affection for a parent. Super easy to train as any sense of you not being happy with their action will result in them going to pout until you go love on them. We have a male who is just over 4 years old, and ironically just picked up a female this past Sunday to give Boss Man a friend and future momma to his puppies (I want to be sure I get a male off of Boss before I lose him to time). I'll never own another breed. And two things I have to point out about this entire thread I'm a bit shocked weren't mentioned.... 1) More people are bitten by Golden Retrievers per year than a bulldog (that includes ALL bulldog breeds)

That is an article posted by an anti-vax site, citing a "study" that is hosted on what is called a Predatory Publisher site (meaning for a few hundred dollars, the ONLY requirement for them to host, they will host any BS study you give them. Promise to reimburse and I'll prove it by having a study on MedCrave by tonight that will clearly show my research has shown that Donnay eats unbaptized children to appease Lord Xenu). The "study" was reported by the International Journal of Vaccines and Vaccination, which charges authors of research papers from $589 to $989 to publish.....another Predatory Publisher. I can almost guarantee you that every "study" you find that if you type in the name of the host and add the words predatory publisher you're going to find out all this "evidence" is only found on places that only require a nominal fee to have a study posted. But honestly.....if you REALLY need more proof this is TOTAL BS.... From your sources: Researchers examining 44 samples of 30 different vaccines found dangerous contaminants, including red blood cells in one vaccine and metal toxicants in every single sample tested – except in one animal vaccine.

Lazy is more like it. I had to delete some dashes produced by a few facts translated from Italian to English from the only actual news sites that has covered this story. For some reason google translator insists on adding dashes to several words. Pretty much every English site I found were all groups opposed to vaccines and pretty much were just article shares off of whichever one first produced the OP article.

I'm going to make a suggestion to you that I do to people on FaceBook all the time..... When you see some spectacular story like this, take time to read the pages that are calling it BS and at least see if things don't add up before you propagate said spectacular story? The husband claims the title of Doctor....yet has no such education in any capacity. The wife claims a PhD earned in Experimental Physics while attending the University of Bologna in 1976 even though no such PhD program was offered ANYWHERE in Italy until 1980. You can also view her diplomas online (I can link if you like, but they are in Italian) and see the words, “diploma di specialita" in (translated rest to English)Biomedical Technologies (Bioengeneering) on her second claimed PhD. The problem is “Diploma di Specialitŕ” (“Diploma di Specializzazione” is the correct name, actually) is a post graduation title for specialists, not a PhD. And the two titles of Specialist and PhD are on separate planets akin to someone completing one semester at junior college and claiming a PhD. Look up the "Luft Affair" of 2009. These two shysters (and make no mistake, that is what they are.) with a few friends who happened to be part of a sales group dealing in monorail systems and convinced the Mayor of Rome that they could clean up the city’s air, by fitting giant vacuum cleaners to the tops of the city buses, to pump air through nanoparticle electro filters as the buses drove around. So the funding was given to pay for the $25,000 super filters only to realize that the Roman scientists who tried to tell them that there is no current technology that can filter ultrafine nanoparticles which is what you're talking about when speaking to nanoparticles that can penetrate at the microcellular level as their "research" claims. Never mind they released a spectacular tell all research paper last year to show they were right about vaccines being evil. Well, it was spectacular until anyone who had ever read a science book read their study and realized they had no controls and their methods description was borderline criminally inadequate. In other words, it was obvious there was no experiments or studies....they simply wrote up some BS that they thought sounded official.

Wanted to post this as I had never heard of this book before nor seen it mentioned here on the forums that I recall. A friend suggested I check it out following a discussion about politics and realizing my views were grounded in libertarian philosophy. I'm about half way through it but so far it's really good (good enough that I took a break to mention it here). But apparently this book had a lot to do with helping Ron Paul onto the road of libertarianism. pdf link: http://www.lib.cmb.ac.lk/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/0001_anarchy_state_and_utopia.pdf Cheers

Raimondo lives in his own bubble bordering on delusion. Step outside the Antiwar/Lew Rockwell section of the Trump movement. Lots of Trump supporters are blindly supporting this intervention, guys like Raimondo and Alex Jones have their own sphere of influence but they do not represent the 10s of millions who voted for Trump. I read a thread on another forum the other day, it was not a specifically political forum but 95% of the members are Trump supporters, of those I'd say 80-90% who voiced their opinion supported the Syria intervention and ridiculed our point of view as tin foil hat. Now, I can't say what the numbers are over all, but just because a bunch of obscure libertarian and paleo con icons decided to throw their votes to Trump does not mean they speak for the masses.

Thank you for your comments. I was Mark's liason (via email) to what Rand has/d to offer and he's been quite cooperative but Ian has not been, yet going further in the wrong direction. I find no purpose in funding their vacations to radioland when I can save it and spend it my way. I just know that you have been a caller for years and someone I respect in spades, so at this point FTL needs to realize that they can't grow w/o Rand and his candidacy at this moment. Their commentary on liberty issues is always on point until they/Ian don't even shed the slightest high-5 upon Rand. The ancaps might be in the few category, which I'm one of like you, but I hold that this show can't go on being an enemy of Rand at this point. If Ian is only pro-NH when this dilemma is facing the country and thus shitting on any national liberty movement by Rand at his own speed, then I gotta fight back and/or withdraw my support from him. Thx for your attention at this point.

Actually, Mark was written c. 70 AD. This is confirmed by archaeology by many hundreds of copies with few discrepancies. It is a long time for certain, but we have oral tradition and writings by 1st century Christians and others demonstrating the existence of Jesus. (there is no reason that I know to doubt these Christians and Church fathers) As far as demonstrable proof of people/events in the ancient world, very few compare to the synoptic gospels. I gtg for now, but I hope to continue this conversation ASAP. Pleasure chatting with you, brother. ~hugs~

What do you mean by "tampered with"? There are many many dozens of copies of the gospels alone, and the variations among them are so insignificant that literary analysts don't consider them to affect the truth/accuracy of them. I don't mean to come off as hostile, btw. I'm genuinely interested in your POV because it differs from my studies.

In China for 3 weeks.

by ChristianAnarchist on 12-29-2012 at 01:21 AM
I've been in China for about 5 days now. This is perhaps my 18th trip to China mainly to visit with my Chinese wife's family. For several years now we've been making 2 trips per year. This trip we are helping to take care of my father-in-law who is in TongJi Hospital in Wuhan. Since my wife is a doctor, it's interesting to see the differences between how these two cultures practice medicine.

One major difference is here the family is expected to take care of the patient's daily
