I think Trump's chief fault, among many, many faults, is that he either doesn't know or doesn't care what's going to happen if there is even any question about election integrity this time around. It's not going to be good. This isn't 487 dimension chess. This is just regular old, don't-put-your-knight-there-because-there-are-three-different-pieces-poised-to-take-it chess. Ultimately one has to wonder if he's actually benefiting from election problems somehow. Anyone with an ounce of integrity would have made elimination of any questions a main objective this time around.

They just need enough polls to make it plausible... As long as there are some polls out there that say it's plausible for Biden to win, that'll be enough to pull off another steal. Because, just like last time, it'll give the corporate press and the intelligentsia elite cover while they're telling everyone to "move on" and "don't question" the results. I think the Trump camp really needs to prepare themselves for another "loss".

World War 3, you know, the ones Biden and his croneys are intentionally trying to start? The one that we are a split second from midnight at kicking off? The one that will end all life on this planet? Yes, they ARE that stupid. They are a Suicide Cult hell bent on taking us all with them... If by some miracle this does NOT go nuclear, I have a gut feeling before the end of the year we may very well see foreign troops within US borders, since, you know, we have ZERO borders anyway and most of the military operators are already in the country, open borders and all... Inviting chaos... THAT war...

I remember the conversation well. What I'm trying and failing to do is explain (again, if memory serves, as I was in that conversation) that the Massacre of the Latins is not "Whataboutism". It's an entirely different thing. I brought up the concept of the dictates of the Pope, in relation to the crusades, as an example of what the Roman Church did. They say the Pope is Christ's vicar and they teach that he calls the shots. In that organization, there is no room for argument: that church did the thing the pope did. Your words you wrote were 'And yes the Orthodox church gave back as good as it got with the "massacre of the Latins." ' You attributed the massacre to the Orthodox Church, and that is factually incorrect. You can't point to support for this action within the Church anywhere outside of a very nebulous claim by a university professor. I agree with you entirely that it doesn't matter what organizational support you have for something that is clearly wrong. "Regardless, anybody who puts someone to death for heresy, whether that person is Jew, Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox or Protestant, is not following Christ at that moment. " Yes, yes, a thousand times yes. But by attributing an individual's wrong action or even thousands of individual wrong actions to the Church is completely out of bounds for Orthodoxy. That is what differentiates us from Rome - we actually can say that and make sense. We didn't just reject 1500 years of how we understood the Church as talked about throughout the New Testament when it became inconvenient - we followed a predetermined, clearly defined theology on it. This is a large part of what the Great Schism of 1054 was about. Before that (remember this was less than 200 years prior to the massacre) all of Christendom was in communion and there were times (particularly during iconoclasm) that Rome was actually more correct than the rest of the Church, and we recognize that. But this is very similar to arguments about the American war of 1861-65: there was a proximate reason that everyone has been told was the reason it happened, and then there was the ultimate reason.

More important things to do than to ensure he wasn't demanding that his FDA chief fast-track poison for our veins. Yes, I heard you the first time. But thank you for repeating it. It's always helpful when Trump's Delusional Supporters clarify the man's priorities, because they're so perverted that people call his critics conspiracy theorists for telling the truth about them.

Yeah. Like that. Did Swordy just personally put Ron Paul on a "kill list" that no one else had added him to? I wonder why. Could it be so he can claim Ron Paul and Trump have something -- anything -- in common?

No, in all fairness, he makes a thousand lame excuses for it. He glorifies his god by reporting his pipe dreams about what he'd like to see Trump do next as if they were campaign promises. Catch the drift of it? He had no choice but believe the MSM (which he had just called "fake news" a thousand times) because he had hired none of the best people, couldn't make a better deal, and had more important things to do than to consider if he might be demanding his bureaus fast track the approval of poison for our veins.

You know, I don't disagree with your basic point, it's right on in fact. However, applying it here is massively overstating the case. These guys don't store ammo for you for any appreciable length of time unless that's what you want. In most cases. I'd gather, the shipping threshold is short enough for that not to be a significant issue. Overall though I tend to agree with you that I'd rather just buy it and keep it in my possession. I just thought this was kind of a neat idea.

Gee, it's a shame he didn't consider our health important enough to make time. Gee, it's a shame he didn't pick "all the best people" like he promised, but a bunch of Deep State operatives he couldn't and shouldn't have trusted. Gee, it's a shame he didn't ask the people in the FDA what the holdup was, instead of just demanding their rubber stamp. Gee, it's a shame he couldn't find one doctor in a country of 330 million to explain it to him. Gee, it's too bad that he couldn't find one person in a country of 330 million to go to even one of the emergency rooms the MSM was claiming was swamped, to see if that was true (after saying the phrase "fake news" about ten thousand times during his campaign). It amazes me the degree to which you TDS-affected cultists think gross incompetence and negligence is a selling point.

Even better: “Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty. This is known as "bad luck.” ― Robert Heinlein

Since when is the "We got a badass over here" meme "gay"? It's been all over the interwebz for many moons and it's used by all sorts of folks. There are several samples in the various "bestest picture thread evarrr"-s.
  8. The reason I have no use for monarchies is it's complete pot luck what you get. If your generation gets a Victoria, you could be in worse shape (assuming her advisors aren't lying to her about what they're doing), but if you get an Ivan the Terrible you're screwed. I prefer a system that at least holds out hope for nonviolent revolution, whether people are generally smart enough to use it or not.

And I'm pretty sure you meant neither Bismarck nor the kaiser.

You're right, I should have said the Kaiser, not Bismarck. :/ (My WWI history is rather rusty...I do remember Hitler suffered from mustard gas inhalation during that war and a bunch of other factoids) Yeah, monarchs have been somewhat fascist in certain occasions, but they always had incentive not to destroy their subjects' economy or their own respective societies as presidents and prime ministers or even legislators do. (such elected officials almost always leave office very wealthy and almost never face justice for their misdeeds) Generally speaking, the best to worst scale goes- voluntary association with government>hereditary monarchy>monarchy>classical republicanism>modern constitutionalism>democracy etc.

What has it to do with politics? Everything. Politicians piss us off, then try to misdirect our anger 'across the aisle' to people who are fundamentally exactly the same, but wear a different party label. The game is age old, but still works.

People are angry, but they are often in denial about it. They know they're angry, but they don't want to admit they're angry
