Exactly. And you know why? Because a "Republican" is in the White House. It's not expedient to act conservative and do conservative things during those times, but as soon as a Democrat sits in the Oval Office, then, all of a sudden, it's time to hit the streets with the Constitution in our hands.

Rep. Massie, basically, just talked about why he did what he did and acknowledged that it has hurt him politically. I think from this, we need to organize a major "Moneybomb" for Rep. Massie because, rest assured, the Republicans will be using all sorts of dirty tricks to get him unseated, even if it means supporting a Democrat.

I think De Blasio included mosques, by implication, although he doesn't say "churches" nor "synagogues" in that video. He mentioned worship services, which can include mosques. But wouldn't that cause an uproar if New Yorkers saw Muslims attending mosque services, but the local authorities allowed it happen!

You're "preaching to the choir" there, my brother. I'm not worried at all because I know Who's reigning on high. I'm very interested to see what our Christian brothers and sisters in NYC are going to do to challenge De Blasio's decree about this. Hopefully, it can move the Church towards mobilizing against political tyranny, if by nothing else, attending worship against "Caesar's" decree.

So my RN sister went to work in NY because they were going to give her almost a year's pay to do a 3 month contract. (Also, she said the southern VA hospitals don't have their shit together even as much as they do in NY, and so she didn't want to be around there if it happens...) I talked to her for over an hour about what's going on there. The greater NYC area is apparently really a lot worse off than events in your particular town might lead you to believe. IOW the fact that it's not a huge problem down the street from you is not an indicator of the seriousness of the issue. They are apparently converting entire wards right now. All elective surgeries and even some surgeries that are necessary are being postponed. However, it is still affecting mainly older people and particularly those with complications. She says they have almost no child cases - they seem to get it and roll out of it without a problem. She also said it's hitting the Hispanic communities really hard. She said this is likely because they tend to be living in more cramped conditions, and they also have a much more close-knit community.

Not only will he force church officers to halt their service, but if they don't comply, then they will be fined and have their buildings shut down permanently. Whatever happened to "separation of Church and State"? Oh, that's right. Coronavirus. That's their excuse for seizing power over everything. 1244339404753289216

I am not really so concerned with his health. I want to know 1. Has he actually gotten sick 2. If so, how bad was it To be clear, there is a potential case here of someone who actually does meet the high risk criteria, not even getting sick. If that's the case then the models everyone is using are crap, because it means the number infected is likely way in excess of what is being reported. That would mean the fatality rate is also a fraction of what is being reported.

Once there's a frontrunner it's over. That's another way Democrats are just like Republicans. In the primaries, when they have zero to gain and everything to lose, they cannot vote for the right candidate instead of current leader. Horse race psychology. And since a crashing economy means the president doesn't get reelected, we get an open child molester president. Enjoy your New World Order.

I understand that, but I wish Cavuto would've asked some follow-up questions, like, "Congressman Massie, why is it that your colleagues have such a hard time obeying the Constitution," or "What are the planks of the Republican Party that you believe makes you the most consistent Republican in D.C.?" Cavuto gave the impression that Rep. Massie was in serious error for calling a quorum, as if he dared to put other people's health at risk, instead of acknowledging that he understood why Rep. Massie did it. At least Cavuto didn't cut him off. I'll give him that.

Rep. Massie did great, as expected. What I hated about that interview is whenever Rep. Massie would give a moral, logical reason for the steps his took, even appealing to the Constitution, Cavuto would ignore that by asking him some emotion-driven question about health concerns, which doesn't excuse Congress from its civil duty to work through this "crisis" that they've deemed is so dire as to force quick resolution by a bill. These people just don't get it, but they'll be the first ones to complain and point fingers once the bill fails as it works its way through the economy.

In Title IX - "House of Representatives" (Page 781) of the CARES Act, it reads: Let's do some math here. The base salary for a representative is $174,000/year. There are 435 members of the House. $25,000,000 divided by 435 is $57,471.26. That means every representative has a pay increase which brings their base salary to $231,471.26, at least, until September 30th of next year. So, this "emergency relief bill" was supposed to be for those who needed, and yet, the House snuck in a pay increase for themselves. Is it no wonder they didn't want to have recorded votes for this bill and rather do it by voice vote? This bill stinks already.

The Left has never cared about all women; they've only cared about certain women. That much was evident during this 2020 Democratic Presidential Primary race. Once all of the female candidates had dropped out, except Tulsi Gabbard, there was no one from their party who jumped to support her campaign. You would think Tulsi would've been the perfect person for Democrats to get behind: she was non-Christian, non-White, and most importantly, non-male. But, no, the Left couldn't support her, ultimately. Why? Oh, because she wasn't a war-hawk; she criticized regime-change wars, and she advocated diplomacy with Assad. And Democrats couldn't have anything to do with that, whether she was a woman or not. So, it doesn't surprise me that the Left would be selective in their crusades for #MeToo. The only #MeToo they care about is those who agree with their globalist, cronyist agenda.

I am convinced that those two problems (one on a collective level, and the other on an individual level) are the main reasons why an economy fails, and it causes people to run to the central government for aid.

Since when is the "We got a badass over here" meme "gay"? It's been all over the interwebz for many moons and it's used by all sorts of folks. There are several samples in the various "bestest picture thread evarrr"-s.
  8. The reason I have no use for monarchies is it's complete pot luck what you get. If your generation gets a Victoria, you could be in worse shape (assuming her advisors aren't lying to her about what they're doing), but if you get an Ivan the Terrible you're screwed. I prefer a system that at least holds out hope for nonviolent revolution, whether people are generally smart enough to use it or not.

And I'm pretty sure you meant neither Bismarck nor the kaiser.

    President von Hindenburg

You're right, I should have said the Kaiser, not Bismarck. :/ (My WWI history is rather rusty...I do remember Hitler suffered from mustard gas inhalation during that war and a bunch of other factoids) Yeah, monarchs have been somewhat fascist in certain occasions, but they always had incentive not to destroy their subjects' economy or their own respective societies as presidents and prime ministers or even legislators do. (such elected officials almost always leave office very wealthy and almost never face justice for their misdeeds) Generally speaking, the best to worst scale goes- voluntary association with government>hereditary monarchy>monarchy>classical republicanism>modern constitutionalism>democracy etc.

What has it to do with politics? Everything. Politicians piss us off, then try to misdirect our anger 'across the aisle' to people who are fundamentally exactly the same, but wear a different party label. The game is age old, but still works.

People are angry, but they are often in denial about it. They know they're angry, but they don't want to admit they're angry
