Yep. I remember a time when "the left" had principles and were anti-authority and independent thinkers and all about individual freedoms (at least on some issues).

Ok, tell me, which state can you go to where there are no progressives or not enough to matter? (I'm assuming this is who you are trying to get away from? I know I am). The west has been invaded by Californians and is turning blue. The midwest is full of union types. Florida has a lot of Yanks and while the most recent batch tend to vote red, the state is still within 10 points of being blue in any statewide election (next 2 cycles may be different). GA went blue, NC did too, the South is not a great option. And of course neither is New England. Of course it is. But as someone who lived in and around Austin for close to a year it was just like being in SoCal, if not worse. DFW and SAT are not that far off and neither is HOU and ELP.

Again, not even comparable to the situation in the US.

You can't see the absolute fundamental differences between a modern secession effort and the secession of a government thousands of miles away? Apples and oranges. Besides, it has already been tried under more favorable geographic conditions than exist now (1860s) and it didn't work then. Geography has only gotten worse because the enemy are imbedded in urban areas in every state. Even places like Idaho and Montana are full of progressives despite being mostly rural. Because the overriding government collapsed. Not because they fought their way out. Which is what I stated above, for this to happen the US government would have to essentially become impotent. Again, Soviet satellite states and their independence is no comparison to the US states.

There is no indication it can be done successfully, much less peacefully. As for me I am ok with staying if the federal government was under control as the Constitution prescribes. End fiat money, go back to legislatures electing US Senators, and abolish the income tax, commerce clause abuse, etc. But since none of those things are likely to happen, I'm ok leaving if there is a chance of success. But there are sadly no options in front of us at present. As I've reasoned for a number of years, I think the federal government may either collapse or become impotent due to a currency crisis and that could be the thing that allows the US to regionalize / balkanize. Again though, the enemy isn't just in DC or "up north" or "in California" anymore... it is in the next largest urban area.

It won't be them people will be fighting, it will be the government. Who do you think enforces all of these draconian anti-freedom "progressive" agenda laws?

they don't just let you leave peacefully... besides, the country isn't divided on geographic lines as much as it used to be, it is non urban vs non-urban. Suburbs are the battleground.

The Corny-Murphy Senate Gun Control Deal: - BANS gun possession based on juvenile records for all gun owners. (Section 12001) - STRIPS gun rights for adults based on mental health care after the age of 16. (Section 12001(a)(1)(A)(ii)) - Opens up decades-old juvenile records, dumps them into the NICS prohibited persons list, uses them to disqualify gun purchases for law-abiding adults. (Section 12001(a)(2); Division B, Title I) - Makes it virtually impossible for 18-20-year-olds to purchase any firearm. Includes a 10-day waiting period. (Section 12001)

BETRAYED: The back-stabbing GOP Senators involved in the gun control deal announced today are John Cornyn (TX), Lindsay Graham (SC), Thom Tillis (NC), Richard Burr (NC), Mitt Romney (UT), Bill Cassidy (LA), Roy Blunt (MO), Susan Collins (ME), Rob Portman (OH), Pat Toomey (PA). Worse, Senate GOP leader Mitch McConnell is signaling his support too. The deal reportedly includes Red Flag Gun Confiscation, Expanded Gun Registration, and restrictions on the rights of military age Americans to purchase firearms. If these are your Senators give them an earful! And wherever you live, tell BOTH of your Senators to oppose this gun control deal! https://www.facebook.com/nagrfb/posts/10159048893160432

That's really the crux of the problem, young kids don't have much interest anymore. Hell, most of them don't even want to learn to drive. This will probably start leading to cabotage, if anything. No, a Pt 141 university BS + flight training is about $200k now. It is nearly impossible to get your tickets for less than $100k.... the only trick to it (besides military) is to buy your own plane and hire a flight instructor... and then sell the plane when you're done. I am a commercial pilot but at the moment I'm back working in politics due to a series of unfortunate events (layoffs, mergers, injury, covid, etc). However I'm actively looking to get into another flying job again. I started in 2016, got all of my ratings in 8 months (I'm not an instructor).

If you go to one or two of the big flight schools, loans from Sallie Mae are given. Anyone can become a pilot as long as you don't have a disqualifying condition.

Not even close. A trained monkey could fly an airplane; it isn't that hard to program from a coding perspective. However pilots get paid to make decisions. And AI is many many many decades from being able to make the same level decision making as a human, if at all. Not to mention the psychological, marketing, and regulatory factors which are a bigger hurdle than the technilogical factors. You'll start to see cargo airlines maybe start to have drones or remotely piloted aircraft. But as far as passenger airlines? Nope, no time in the foreseeable future. The pilots in those crashes were poorly trained on how to disable a system that was faulty. MCAS took control of the plane and it didn't matter what their stick and rudder skill level was if they couldn't disable the faulted safety overrides.

I'll trample your dark heart with darts from the Divine Spark because your beliefs are beneath me like Hades buried six feet deep. And you will weep in the place where it's always gnashing of teeth because your grief will never cease for your hardened unbelief about the obvious Cosmic Chief. Knowledge is folly without the fear of the Lord, so let me take my Sword and slice your cerebral into pieces as we seek the Prince of Peace, the sovereign Lord Jesus. He is the Word, and He shuts the mouths of the unlearned worms who squirm when they're burned by His unquenchable fire spurned. Word.

My rhymes will leave you blind by the light of my infinity. You have an affinity for absurdity, dressed in the garb of superfluity. Your fool's heart can't receive the gift of my reason by reason that you're a heathen believing that the seasons change for no apparent reason.

You're enslaved to your ignorance to maintain in your filthiness that you've obtained any witness of the empirical against that which is metaphysically spiritual. The spoof of your proof is proven by this: the existence of an atheist proves God exists. You assume there is a God to disprove there is God, but your reasoning is at odds with the transcendental necessity of the preconditions for God. You can use New Age theology or Eastern philosophy, but if you challenge me, I'll deconstruct your arguments logically. Now we see the fallacy. You're just a hypocritical, unbiblical, pitiful, miserable individual. Your worldview has been wrecked by the whirlwind of regret, leaving you lost and pompous, just like that arrow on the top of Captain Jack Sparrow's compass. God's been ruling the nations and civilizations for ages, not pagans who hate Him because they simply just ain't Him. So your rhymes are just a sign of the times that man is trying to climb the ladder to be like the only One Divine, whom they claim they can't find as they walk around blind like mindless pantomimes.

My God ain't odd, stompin' out betrayers and haters like a mob with rods, just so you can fall at awe with His wrath and all, because you try to stall His rawness by holding your balls like you the tallest and hardest baller, only to face the gall of His bitterness because of the staunch of your wickedness which is worst than the awful stench of garbage mixed with the rawest fish from a harlot's lips after she gargled spit.
