Except....resources were stolen from Africa...labor was stolen through slavery....and oppression is still going on. I agree that socialism is not the solution to problems in the black community, but it's asinine to pretend that there has not been a systematic government sponsored racist cause. The police force, that's really oppressing everybody, began as a way to catch runaway slaves. The drug laws are aimed at blacks and, sadly, many black leaders went along with it. Same with gun control. Ronald Reagan loved gun control as a governor because he wanted guns taken from the black panthers. You don't have to deny that problems exist in order to find real solutions. When Booker T. Washington was pushing economic development on the front end, he was secretly funding lawsuits against Jim Crowe laws on the back end. My personal opinion of Candace Owens is....she's got some growing and learning to do. I remember when Tony Brown of Tony Brown's Journal fame openly quit the democratic party and joined the Republican party back in the 1980s. But he eventually left the Republican party because of all of the racism and patronizing of blacks he saw. I fully concur with Tony Brown. The Democrats suck. The Republicans blow. Violent crime in this country is at a 20 year low, the black teenage birth rate has been steadily declining for the past 20 years, and yet, for no explicable reason, police shootings are at record highs. I would like Candace Owens to explain to the parents of Tamir Rice why it was okay for him to be gunned down for playing with a BB gun. I would like her to explain why the 911 operator is not in prison for taking a call where an idiot white woman decided that a kid playing with what was probably a toy gun was a reason to call the police in the first place and then the 911 operator lied to her fellow officers and said "Active shooter." I would like Ms. Owens to explain to the family of Eric Garner how it is that an officer could put Mr. Garner in a choke hold that went against NYPD policy, and the coroner could label his death a homicide, and yet nobody went to prison. It's not like we don't know who did the homicide. I would like Ms. Owens to explain how a flash bang grenade can be thrown into a child's crib and blow a hole in his chest and nobody goes to prison. I would like Ms. Owens to explain how police can bust into a house guns blazing looking for a suspect who's not there, kill a 7 year old girl and nobody goes to prison. I would like Ms. Owens to explain how Freddie Gray can be alive when he is put in the back of a police van, dead when the ride is over, and nobody goes to prison. I would like Ms. Owens to explain how an officer can pull over Philando Castille, Mr. Castille tells him "I am a concealed carry holder", Mr. Castille is told go get his wallet, Mr. Castille reaches for his wallet, the officer says "Don't reach for that gun", Mr. Castille says "I'm not reaching for a gun", the officer kills him anyway, and the officer gets off on the lame excuse that he was "in fear of his life" even though his partner was not afraid. We shall see if the black Somali immigrant officer who killed the blonde haired, blue eyed white woman from Australia gets off. He might. He's got the same "I was afraid" excuse. And in this case his partner was also afraid. And yes, there have been other whites murdered by police. Kelly Thomas comes immediately to mind. The teenager on his way home from the church basketball game also comes to mind. And the homeless guy that got shot on video for no apparent reason. However that doesn't take away from the racist origins of the police force. As Tony Brown used to say "Blacks are the canary in the coal mind. Whites should pay attention. What happens to blacks will ultimately happen to them." I have lived to see that with the mostly black crack epidemic morphing into the mostly white meth epidemic and now the mostly white opioid crisis. More...

You mean the fake news like the bimbos on Fox who are praising Trump's needless military buildup? See: http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?521307-Trump-s-War-on-Russia-Syria-UPDATES&p=6621588&viewfull=1#post6621588 The fake news praising Trump for bombing Syria over what is an obvious false flag? The fake news that is on board with Trump trying to ban bumpfire stocks by executive order? The fake news that ignores that Trump and Clinton were buddies with billionaire pedophile Jeff Epstein?

The woman on the far left looks (and acts) like Nancy Pelosi's right wing twin sister. Edit: Just finished watching the whole thing. Those have to be the dumbest women on the planet. This is Fox's version of "The View?" Their male co-host at least seems co-herent. David Stockman owned those losers.

As a Seventh Day Adventist I'm not sure how to take this. We're traditionally anti-pope but also traditionally believe in annihilationism. (Malichi 4:1 "The wicked shall be stubble." Eze 28:18-19 "I will bring they to ashes...never shalt though be any more." Eze 18:20 "The soul that sins shall die.") It's definitely strange days we're living in.

I have a friend who lives in the Bahamas who's million dollar home was destroyed in the hurricane. He has and at the time had insurance. He still hasn't gotten a settlement check yet because the insurance company said they are still paying off for Puerto Rico. Make of that what you will. I have another friend who's home was destroyed as a result of the Nashville flood in 2010. He had flood insurance, but the insurance company wouldn't pay because they said the damage was from a mud slide and he didn't have earth moving insurance. Make of that what you will too.

You act like Rand doesn't have to worry about simply getting re-elected to his senate seat. Yes his teocon base went with Trump. The Truthers also in large went to Trump thanks to Alex Jones. (I know it pains people here to admit it, but the truthers helped Ron more than they hurt.) I was in favor of Rand winning without pandering to teocons and I think he could have but that didn't happen and now we are where we are. As it stands, what just happened is no big deal. Rand forced Trump and Pompeo to publicly re-affirm commitments to get out of Syria and Libya. That's about as good as you're going to get.

Sorry for not being more explicit but Ron Paul already told us what can go wrong and Trump has already started doing the wrong! In addition to what I already posted, there's the fact that we now have a "constitution free zone" called the border area. For nearly 2 decades now (or more), people like Alex Jones have been railing against face scanning cameras, have been unwilling to accept that in the name of fighting terrorism, Trump does it in the name of fighting illegal immigrants...and....crickets. Had Bush called the Patriot Act the "Patriot and keep out the brown people Act" there might not have ever been any opposition from the right to it. Fact 1 is not "obvious." In fact AntiFederalist seemed to think the idea that Hispanics, many of who are NOT "illegal" or criminal in any sense of the word, might be more likely to identify as libertarian than whites. Further the libertarian party isn't the only party to embrace lowering barriers to immigration. There's also the democratic party and the socialist party. So it's not "obvious" that immigrants, illegal or otherwise, criminal or otherwise, would embrace the libertarian party over other alternatives. But certainly they would be more willing to go with the LP than the GOP.

Well I guess that's an optimistic way to look at it because I guarantee you there will still be U.S. troops in Afghanistan and most likely Syria in 2020. At this point I wouldn't hold my breath on getting troops back out of Iraq! https://www.cnn.com/2018/02/06/middleeast/american-troops-iraq-intl/index.html

Giving up liberty in order to keep foreigners from taking away our liberty? What could go wrong? Trump implements face scanning cameras by executive order to fight illegal immigration. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/08/01/us/politics/federal-border-agents-biometric-scanning-system-undocumented-immigrants.html

How does the statistic you quote undermine undergroundrr's point? Trump isn't libertarian (as in not even CLOSE with the whole "face scanning camera by executive order to fight illegal immigration") thing, and the Libertarian Party platform embraces undocumented immigrants. https://www.lp.org/issues/immigration/ Libertarians believe that if someone is peaceful, they should be welcome to immigrate to the United States. Libertarians believe that people should be able to travel freely as long as they are peaceful. We welcome immigrants who come seeking a better life. The vast majority of immigrants are very peaceful and highly productive. Indeed, the United States is a country of immigrants, of all backgrounds and walks of life…some families have just been here for more generations than others. Newcomers bring great vitality to our society. A truly free market requires the free movement of people, not just products and ideas.

Rand said he absolutely would not vote for Pompeo? Or did he say he would vote against Pompeo unless Pompeo changed his mind about whether Iraq was a mistake and whether we should get out of Afghanistan and Syria? I'm asking because I honestly don't know. Source? Revelation 3:16 So, because you are lukewarm--neither hot nor cold--I am about to spit you out of my mouth.

In light of Rand's actual subsequent vote his questioning style makes perfect sense. He laid out his concerns in a "I really hope to see it my way"...way...and then voted for Pompeo, I assume, in the hope that Pompeo got the message. Not satisfying to the grassroots I know but....well in hindsight you should have seen that coming.

It's funny how in debates with TER I've found contradictions and room for multiple interpretations in the "Church Fathers." So that's an "epic fail" squared. Here is a simple matter of faith. Either you believe in that God is real, He really loves you, and he really wants to connect and communicate directly to you, and you accept His promises that He will do just that.....or you don't. That's why Jesus gave the parable of the gifts fathers give their children. Luke 11:11-13 11 “Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? 13 If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” And Paul continued on that theme. James 1:5 "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him."

    A) That's not at all true. John 4:16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever. Acts 2:3-4 They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them Acts 19:1-7 While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul took the road through the interior and arrived at Ephesus. There he found some disciples 2 and asked them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed? They answered, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”

But he has new ammunition to vote against it. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-04-23/trump-s-cia-nominee-haspel-faces-opposition-from-ex-generals And FTR I haven't gone against Rand on this vote. Yes it's disappointing, but as I said, he's still done better than what could have been expected the way he ran for Senate the first time.

You know someone brought to my attention something very fishy about that. Why was Rand even cutting his own grass? They don't have a budget for a groundskeeper? And it takes a lot of force to do that much damage. Just a "tackle" shouldn't do that.
