Yesterday I made horse steaks on the ceramic bbq. Very nice looking meat, not my picture but very similar: But really, I can recommend it. It's much better than normal steaks. The taste, with just salt and pepper on the outside right before grilling; it's almost like it's dry aged and marinated in soy sauce... Really sweet. Texture is amazing, more tender than beef of the same quality. Really, I don't get why you don't eat horses in the US. They're amazing food.

And what exactly is it that cows eat generally ? Grass-fed cows eat grass of course, so there you're mostly right. With cows that get fed soy and grains, I'm very sorry to tell but those may not be vegetables as such but they do require lots of fuel to be grown, and, several pounds of it, go into a lb of meat. So, unless your cow eats naturally grown grass from a field, it does cost more fuel to produce. I am lucky btw, if I look outside of my window, I see some cows snacking on grass, they are milk cows however. The meat cows are on a different field. :p Like I said, I'm lucky... Fresh milk, yoghurt, cheese, beef and eggs, a 300ft walk, fresh from the farm. Many different vegetables directly from the farmer in a mile. Oh, and I live close enough to the sea to get fresh fish that came out of the sea a few hours earlier... :D No clue what this has to do with the topic, but I'm happy.

Okay, here we go, please pay attention because the amounts are very important to get correct or they taste like shit/fall apart :). I used, 3 cans of chickpeas, these are 400g cans, 240grams after straining. 50grams of white all purpose flour, teaspoon of baking powder. Spices I don't think the amounts matter too much. Cilantro and parsley, the more you add, the more flour you'll have to add to bind it together. I used a nice handful of both herbs, about a cup full after chopping fine. Alternately, you can also roll them through flour right before you fry them, this will increase the crispness. Oh, and don't forget to add plenty salt!

The verbage isn't "not paying". It's value received. A very small amount of people don't directly pay. You're deflecting from the amount of money your employer pays for you which is income. The main reason you get it in the form of health care insurance is taxes. One isn't paying zero, one isn't paying $100, one isn't paying $200. It's about the median family. You explained the methodology. Which helps show why CPI is worthless.

I made fresh falafels... Taking leftovers to work tomorrow, with fresh middle-eastern salad and condiments.... Going to make colleagues take a run for their money. :D Easiest. stuff ever, Chickpeas, garlic, red onion, powders: Chili, cumin, coriander. Then a bit of flour and baking powder... But most importantly: loads of cilantro and parsley. Make nice dough (I used a stick mixer thingy), deep fry for a few minutes and done. If they fall apart on you, not enough flour, if they taste too much like flour, too much! And don't let anyone tell you canned chickpeas don't work, they do work. Fresh just tastes better if you have loads of time (Everything else I use is fresh though but honestly, canned chickpeas are perfect). Put in a pita or Lebanese bread with middle eastern salad, cilantro (more is better, in fact, it could replace lettuce), iceberg lettuce, garlic sauce and hotsauce.

The 155 million who get their insurance through their employer are paying a much higher percentage than 1%. Why in the world are grouping them and saying they pay little money? They're paying ~5k a year out of pocket. Quit saying that's a small number when it's not. It's no where near .7% of what the median family makes. Median family. CPI is fraud. "If your employer is covering 100% of your health insurance premiums, your costs are zero. " Tell me the percentage of people who receive that? If the employer is paying it the costs are the value of the coverage. That's a form of income. "Since 2001, the number of employers on Fortune's "100 Best Companies to Work For" list who provide full health coverage to employees has dropped from 34 percent to just 9 percent in 2016." Employees not family members.

I am only counting the Insurance cost that comes directly out of pocket. If the percerntage was figured correctly one would add the employer contribution to income then divide that amount by the total cost and we'd be over 20 percent 15k/70k vs 5k/55k. This isn't about one person who happens to be covered by the VA or Medicare. It's about the median family and the costs associated with that median family. The median family is not paying $550 a year for Healthcare insurance. CPI is a scam

Insurance. Not total spent on healthcare. 107 pages. Go to page 106 Under the heading Medical Care. Health insurance = .7 Look at your pie chart. Who in the world spends 1% on Food and Beverage. The link I listed says 15 percent.

We know CPI is meaningless. It says the cost of healthcare insurance is less than 1 percent when it's over to 10 percent. The median family makes 56-57k a year. One percent of that is $570 a year. They're paying around 5k a year.

That was a nice read. I've seen some documentaries on this case and it's still very interesting. Just a nice story, how nobody really got hurt and the hijacker got away with a bunch of money, never to be seen again. A parachute definitely is the most important accessory to wear when jumping from an airplane, apart from that, maybe not suitable but it could still work fine.

The 3 month limit isn't followed much imo. Over 40 million on food stamps compared to 27 million before the crash. It's been over 10 years and while the population grew ~8% since 2007 food stamp usage is 50 percent higher compared to 2007 I can eat on $126 a month if I make all my meals at home.

It's physics, everything is. Have no fear however, mass extinction is coming, we just don't know when. I know this because, we can not keep growing our population forever. In my opinion most problems that humanity is experiencing are caused by overpopulation. When I see people advocate for vegetarianism so we have more food to feed people instead of cattle, I appreciate their intent but it's foolish. Okay, everybody becomes vegetarian, we have more food, we keep procreating, then what ? What is the next limit, where there simply is no space anymore ? Will the world become one large city with a 100 billion people ? Probably not, mass extinction will kick in before that happens, it will come in the form of; war, disease and natural disasters. You can try to deny it but it won't change the fact I'm right. ;). It could start tomorrow, or maybe it will take a century. That I do not know.

Funny, I think we can agree the CR-V is an awesome car, but I probably like it for other reasons, the drivetrain and engine. I like how you say adult and kid friendly, I have to say, kids generally are really nice in my car when I ask nicely to not touch anything that doesn't need to be touched and to just relax and listen to the music.. I do adapt a bit when I have kids in the car, but not too much. Good thing your husband is helping out. I find that funny, men generally don't see a problem with their wife cleaning the house, however, as far as I know in most cases they clean the car.... :p Psychology is funny.

Sounds good! Even though a car is meant to be used, it's much nicer to drive if it's clean... I've got a 2007 and I would say the interior of mine is 95% of what it was when it was new. The exterior is a little fucked, scratches and stuff.

I do some detailing from time to time. Not a lot since I daily drive my car... 500mi each week, since it rains so much overhere it's not really worth it to keep the outside spotless. My rims are full of brake dust after a week... The inside however is easier to keep nice. I use a nice nylon brush to get the dust out of small gaps and stuff. Washing and oiling the leather seats/door panels. All plastic stuff gets a quick wipe with cockpit spray. Carpets are vacuumed. Windows are cleaned with an aerosol type window cleaner (great stuff.. spray it on, and wipe it off with a clean dry paper towel and the window looks showroom quality). I try to do this as frequently as I can, but usually most of these items happen every three months.. Seats maybe only once or twice a year. It costs some time to do but if you spend 10 hours each week in your car, you learn to appreciate the effort:p

Most people like to stay put imo. Granted after training if they find out they are being under paid of course that's a good reason to move on. I would think the training company would know that or at least figure it out. A company that doesn't train their employees will do worse than one who does. Less will want to work at the non training place. If they train and pay as well as their competitor they may "trade" a minute number of employees.

I'd take one for free. I have friends who have had ex police dogs for as long as I can remember, they have had many. Most of them very sweet dogs, some came with a manual. Overall, no reason to euthanise them. Funny btw, how on the one hand, a dog like this is counted as an officer and on the other hand can be euthanised because they're surplus or too expensive to train. Eh, funny, no, fucking sad actually. But hey, government is made up out of people, so what do you expect.

Funny.. If it were Pu-238 (which it's most likely not), it would likely have been purchased FROM the Russians. (wikipedia) P.S. IMO Pu-238 is the most interesting radioactive isotope... Just look at the Voyager probes, still under partial power, after 40+ years..

Marching to War Requires Two Feet
by Matt Malkus

America has become a nation marching to war in lockstep, left foot following right foot towards the all-too-certain future that has already befallen the body's other half. Crushing electoral defeats serve as little deterrent in a political system where the pendulum swings comfortably on the same axis, the defeat coming at the hands of the opposite extreme which just as aggressively pursues the same noble goals via the same dead
