Agreed. All I said was the claim of her being there is incorrect and not that it matters as to why shes a bad choice. It's about her being okay with a torture policy that matters. It's always about policy.

When OxyContin first hit the market in 1996, Perdue published that "delayed absorption as provided by OxyContin tablets, is believed to reduce the abuse liability of a drug.” That was literally OxyContin's tag line and a mass-marketing campaign around it began. Doctors began prescribing it for moderate, chronic pain, when before opioids were primarily used for cancer patients and post-surgical for acute pain. Unfortunately, Perdue never did any type of clinical trial to show it was less likely to be abused or less likely to become a dependence for those who were prescribed it. There was a lot of shady communication between the FDA and Perdue the first years that OxyContin hit the market. This is a wonderful article on it: My favorite part:

It's sad. I am responsible for managing a program aimed at reducing opioid misuse in my area, so this hits home. Shame what OxyContin, the FDA, and a horrible campaign by Perdue Pharma based on complete lies ultimately led to.

People younger than 30 in the US are no more liberal on gun control than their parents or grandparents, polls show. They tend to differ by 1% or so, statistically not significant.

So Haspel did not take charge of the base until after the interrogation of Zubaydah ended? Granted if her stance is, "it's still okay to torture", it doesn't really change much. This didn't come up in 2013?

Once we have a proven concept, I am sure we can duplicate it for the US audience. I would love to do that. Unless the US govt. would label me as a Russian spy. :D Even a bigger project for US would be a Daily or Weekly Libertarian Fix, where an attractive libertarian pin up girl would (reading off of a teleprompter) sum up the important news and happenings for libertarians. Something like the IGN Daily Fix for gaming nerds.

Some great input acptulsa. I will add it to my notes. Thank you. You are right about the Minutemen. I have learned about libertarianism ever since that faithful day in May of 2007 when my life was changed completely by hearing that humble congressman from Texas speak, but I have never heard of Minutemen until you mentioned them here. Was happy to do some research about them for couple of hours on Internet. But I am afraid that no one would make the connection but Americans. The Statue of Liberty is definitely recognizable, but I find it too-common and too-complex to incorporate into something that would represent the Libertarian Minute video series. But I will do some research and try to combine an abstract Statue of Liberty with an abstract stopwatch. Maybe somebody else can visualize it for us better.

The text below is a general translation from Serbo-Croatian into English how the first Libertarian Minute could look like. Given that it is more educational than commentary, it would probably be desirable to be scripted ahead of time in this case, to ensure covering some of the best sound-bites from various aspects of economy. The examples given by different libertarians would be cut to include only the essence of their message and then jumped to the next speaker, and so on., keeping it condensed and fast paced. Other videos that focus on commenting stupid govt policies or statements by politicians could be much more free style: educational, angry, sarcastic, funny comments - whatever works best. All your ideas and comments for improvement are very welcome. Also, please think again about the logo possibilities. Something simple, snappy, representative, memorable. Thank you! :D Title: Libertarianism as free market capitalism Intro: Welcome to the first Libertarian minute, mini educational video series in which libertarians comment about societal problems and solutions from libertarian perspective.

Thank you all for the ideas so far. You are indeed an invaluable resource. Your words of encouragement certainly strengthen my conviction that such a project could be indeed valuable in helping spread the cause of liberty. I will definitely keep posting the ideas of topics and content to be covered in Libertarian Minute here in RonPaulForums. Would definitely love to mix some of your audio/video contributions to it as well. Your message in English would be accompanied with subtitles for our audiences, and realization that Americans are giving them their thoughts about liberty would floor them. :D Right next, I will post the topic intro and sample examples of what libertarians would say for the first video, so that you guys can get a better idea how it would look like, and perhaps help further narrow down the most appropriate logo concept. But before I do that, here are some concepts I was working on for the logo plus some of which I paid to be designed, none of which I found to be good enough. The top 8 images: Thank you all!

Hello everyone! Not sure where to post this so it ended up here. I am starting a mini 60 second video production project series by the name 'Libertarian Minute', where libertarians like yourself will be educating general population about libertarianism in their own words - one subject at a time, as well as make commentaries on current world issues, dumb statements made by politicians, and government policies. The idea is to take the essence of what any bunch of hard core libertarians would say in a forum post of a Facebook comment on a given subject and compile into a 60 second video. There would be one sentence intro provided at the start of the videos. The participants would each have up to 5 seconds to say what they wish others would know or consider from a libertarian perspective, record it on their smartphones and submit for editing and compilation. Collected comments/points of view would compete for inclusion into the 1 minute cut and those selected would be mixed up in the video, accompanied with appropriate memes, quotes of famous libertarians, etc. into a fast, high octane, short production that is straight to the point. The ending will follow with a one to two sentences conclusion. Intro and conclusion would not account for the 60 seconds, that minute is reserved purely for the best points of view given by libertarian participants, who can chose to provide only audio, audio and video with face masked, or full audio and video. Hope is that such short format will cause more people to take a look at libertarian points of view, and be able to receive them from multiple libertarians in such a short time. The project is designed specifically for populations of countries of Western Balkans (former Yugoslavia), where the Ron Paul Revolution has made its mark, perhaps more internationally than anywhere else. You can see our first project that was inspired by the good Doctor's campaigns here: Http:// Any thoughts about the validity of such a project are very welcome. Some English speaking participants in this project would be a great mix and attention getter.

Aside from the massive potential for privacy breaches, potential legal trouble you can get in from images the state declares illegal, the photos will have all the appeal of a security camera. Pictures will have terrible composition, horrible lighting and be at angles that don't make sense. Develop an AI photo drone that can fly around the house with smarts to get perfect shots then you'll have something... as long as it isn't web connected.

"found that 30% of drivers are losing money on the job" Fishy. No way 30 percent are losing money and still continue to drive. "Other studies and surveys have found higher hourly earnings for Uber drivers, in part because there are numerous ways to report income and to calculate costs and time and miles spent on the job." The other study showed $21/hr so expenses are ~17.63/hr?

Lmao. What a woefully ignorant strawman / red herring... no, actually it is a claim. Whether Bob does or not involves a variety of individual specifics to the case. See: Action-based legal theory provides tools to take into each case. It supplies some of the underlying questions to which case-specific details shape answers. Legal principles guide inquiry into specifics while emerging details suggest the most relevant set of legal principles to apply. Justice may be found at the meeting theory and practice—of deduction, institutions, and the details of specific cases. Sound theory functions as a service to legal practitioners, enabling them do their jobs more easily and reliably. Legal practice should always be on trial in the court of legal theory, while legal theory should be recognized as insufficient to do justice in any real case. Legal theory and legal practice must therefore persist in a challenging but necessary marriage between distinctive partners if they are to produce the offspring of justice. Used properly, praxeological legal concepts not only boost the clarity of legal theorizing from “the armchair,” they also enhance the ability of practitioners to parse specific cases from “the bench.”

Marching to War Requires Two Feet
by Matt Malkus

America has become a nation marching to war in lockstep, left foot following right foot towards the all-too-certain future that has already befallen the body's other half. Crushing electoral defeats serve as little deterrent in a political system where the pendulum swings comfortably on the same axis, the defeat coming at the hands of the opposite extreme which just as aggressively pursues the same noble goals via the same dead
