I don't see what is so hard to understand. The desire to segregate oneself from those with whom one fundamentally and irreconcilably disagrees is a necessary precursor to actually doing so. Malice is making note of the fact that such desires are increasing - "our nation's ideological self-segregation is proceeding nicely", in his words - and if the number of people with such desires ever reaches a "critical mass" (what I previously referred to as "enough cases"), then the (relatively few) modes in which such self-segregations are still not legally permitted will become increasingly less tenable and enforceable. And in fact, there are myriad ways in which such ideological segregations are at present not at all illegal. You may still choose with whom you associate in your personal/private life, where you live, the sources from which you seek information and discussion (such as RPFs), etc., etc., etc. Such instances far outnumber those in which your choices are (unjustly) constrained by law (as in for whom you must bake a cake, if you are baker). And even then, such constraints as do exist are often "unidirectional", so to speak. For example, a white merchant may be legally required to sell goods to black customers, but black customers are not legally required to purchase goods from white merchants. (It is this latter case with which the thread OP is concerned.)

People having opinions about things - such as whether Alec Baldwin is prone to being an arrogant, angry asshole who is capable of shooting & killing someone accidentally in a fit of pique and then fobbing all responsibility for it off on everyone else except himself - is not a "cultural issue that affects the liberty movement and the Right", It is an absolutely normal and typical thing that all human beings throughout history have done and will continue to do for so long as they remain human beings.

And for that very reason, gun ownership is a light that should not be hidden under a bushel. The more "normalized" it is, the more effective it will be for the purpose AF identified. It should absolutely be normalized - and good for Massie for doing his bit as a prominent public figure.

I don't really disagree with any of this. But I would note, however, that Binion himself injected the issue of libertarian "credentials" when he chose to frame his remarks with the preface, "I say this as a libertarian ...".

Facebook Asks Users to Send in Their Nude Pictures (Again) Facebook (now known as Meta) has reportedly co-developed a platform that asks people to submit their nude photographs and videos to prevent them from being used as “revenge porn” across Facebook’s platforms. Mark Zuckerberg and the Masters of the Universe expect users to fully trust them not only with every private detail of their life, but also with their nude bodies. NBC News reports that Facebook (now known as Meta) recently co-developed a platform that asks users to send in their intimate photos and videos to prevent them from being used as “revenge porn” across Facebook-owned platforms. Facebook attempted to implement a similar system back in 2018. more...............https://www.breitbart.com/tech/2021/12/05/facebook-asks-users-to-send-in-their-nude-pictures-again/

The funny thing is that the Florida State Guard will consist of 200 civilian volunteers. A whole 200! Not even the number of Spartans at Thermopylae. And Progs are acting like it is the Fourth Reich.

Well, I will comment on his character: he is quite clearly an asshole - an arrogant and angry asshole. Baldwin has long had a reputation for being an angrily foul-tempered person. And the reasons he has that reputation are well-illustrated by the video/audio clips Viva Frei made reference to. There is nothing objectionable about pointing out that angrily foul-tempered people like Baldwin are prone to becoming angry and foul-tempered.

RUST and the Abdication of Responsibility | The Ballad of Alec Baldwin (VL587) Alec Baldwin has done the unthinkable, not just in wielding the gun that shot and killed Halyna Hutchins on the set of Rust in October of this year, but in giving a national interview to George Stephanopoulos of ABC News before the investigation has even run its course. Why would someone do such a reckless thing? Why would his lawyers allow it? Alec Baldwin has a lot to answer for, as we discuss...in Virtual Legality. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VsmRF3uRvfo

No one said that Baldwin has an anger problem merely because he got really pissed off at a paparazzo once. However, it absolutely is evidence of such a problem. Being hypoglycemic doesn't mean you have diabetes, but being diabetic does mean you have hypoglycemia. Getting pissed off at paparazzi doesn't mean you're a rage-aholic, but being a rage-aholic does mean getting pissed off at paparazzi. Baldwin is notorious for his short temper, and (as Viva noted in his video) the incident with that paparazzo is just one of a number of reasons why.

Libertines and their ilk have always been attracted to and present in the modern liberty movement as a whole (not just the Libertarian Party), and they always will be to one degree or another. They may be an embarrassing nuisance, but they're not really a problem as long as they are not the ones running the public-facing organs of the movement (such as the LP). One of the objectives of the Mises Caucus is the replacement of such "lifestyle" libertarians with ideologically-driven "Ron Paul Revolution"-style libertarians - at least when it comes to the leadership of the national LP and the state parties. The "lifestyle" folks would still be part of the membership (and the larger liberty movement in general), of course. And some of them would probably occupy leadership positions here or there - after all, no national or state-level organization of any significance is ever going to be "pure". But a number of them might well just abandon a Mises-ized LP for venues they find to be more congenial - which would certainly be no great loss. Even worse than the "lifestyle" libertarians, though, are the "woke" activists and their ilk who call themselves "libertarian" (such as self-described "libertarian socialists" who push assorted bullshit like so-called "Universal Basic Income"). The "lifestyle" types are a nuisance to be sure, but the ardently leftist "woke" ones are an active and pernicious danger. They absolutely cannot stand the Mises Caucus, and the feeling is mutual. This is where the real fight is - not with the too-cool-for-school, social-clubby, weed-toking polyamorists or the like. Most of them don't, and most never will. But that doesn't matter - because (in this context) most people don't matter.

Some of the "old school" ACLUers are still pretty good on things like, you know, civil liberties. But the up-and-coming newer generation is taking over the org, and they are "woke" as hell.
