As your Representative in Congress, I have never missed a vote. You elected me to represent you. That means I study the bills and vote every time.

It is also my duty as your Congressman to keep you informed of how I am voting. I post all of my votes with a brief explanation of why I voted as I did on Facebook. If you're not doing so already, please follow my votes at www.facebook.com/repjustinamash. Feel free to invite your friends to join as well.

One of my colleagues from another state recently shared that his constituents have asked him, "Why don't you keep us informed like Congressman Amash does?" It seems that citizens all over the country are using my Facebook postings to stay informed!

If I achieve anything in Congress (and I hope to do much on your behalf), I want to change the way things are done. I want to make government transparent and accountable to you. The American government should not be run to please special interests. But I need the support of citizens to make this happen.

    Here's how you can help.

First, let me know your thoughts on any issues facing our country. I always want to be aware of your concerns. The best way to communicate with me is on Facebook or via email at contact@justinamash.com.

Second, please attend one or more of the many campaign events I schedule throughout the year. Go to www.facebook.com/justinamash regularly to check for upcoming events. (Note that this is separate from my government page where I explain the votes.)

Finally, I need your financial support.

If you want to continue to have a voice in Congress--someone who puts you above special interests and party politics--please consider donating to my campaign. Now more than ever, you need someone in Congress who is willing to limit government spending and make the tough choices to help get us back on our feet again.

I am already known as a person who "cannot be bought." Consequently, many traditional sources of funding are not lining up to keep me in Congress. That's okay with me because I would much rather have the support of the people like you who elected me.

Right now, I am looking for 5,000 people willing to pledge a small monthly contribution to my campaign. Please click here to become one of my most committed supporters.

Or if you can't manage a monthly donation, please consider a one-time contribution by clicking here.

I am confident that we can once again return our nation to the stature and prosperity it enjoyed in the past.
