WASHINGTON (AP) — The Senate has overwhelmingly approved a resolution that reaffirms U.S. efforts to stop Iran from developing a nuclear weapon and says containment of a nuclear-capable Iran is not an option.
By a vote of 90-1 early Saturday, the Senate backed the nonbinding measure that specifically states that it should not been interpreted as an authorization for the use of military force or a declaration of war.
Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., who cast the only "no" vote, had spoken out against the resolution as an excuse for the use of military force.
We have a tremendous opportunity to keep Ron Paul's legacy going by electing one of our own forum members, Thomas Massie, to United States congress.
Thomas is fighting in the primary for an open seat in a safely Republican district. That means if he wins the primary on May 22nd he will be the next U.S. congressman from KY's 4th district!
Thomas is running against two big-government Republicans; he and one of them are neck-and-neck in fundraising.
If we provide Thomas with one last fundraising boost before next month's election, we will put a Ron Paul Forum member in the U.S Congress!
The moneybomb starts today and continues for the next two days!
Please watch and spread the video and remember to donate to the moneybomb!
Thomas has the right principles. There is no question in my mind about that. He will stand up for Liberty in Congress. Please join me in supporting him - Ron Paul
Please sign up here for tickets to the Republican Leadership Conference. The conference is in New Orleans June 16 -18. Congressman Ron Paul will be speaking and there will be a straw poll at the event.
