    Nebraska and West Virginia Primary Elections are Tomorrow

    In Nebraska, there are competitive primaries in both the gubernatorial election and senate race. On the governor front, there is a two man race between Nebraska Attorney General and 2012 Senate candidate Jon Brunning and former COO of Ameritrade and 2006 senate nominee Pete Ricketts. Bruning has been endorsed by the putgoing governor, Dave Heineman, while Ricketts has been endorsed by Paul Ryan, Sarah Palin, Ted Cruz, and Scott Walker.


    In the senate race, Ben Sasse, the President of Midland University has a sizable lead over his two main competitors, President of Pinnacle Bank, Sid Dinsdale, and former Treasurer of Nebraska Shane Osborn. Sasse has been endorsed by Club for Growth, FreedomWorks, and Senate Conservatives Fund.


    In West Virginia, former state GOP chairman and state senator Alex Mooney is seen as the favorite in West Virginia's 2nd Congressional District. He has been endorsed by Madison Project, Senate Conservatives Fund, Tea Party Express, Republican Liberty Caucus, American Conservative Union, congressman Thomas Massie, and former congressman and presidental candidate Ron Paul, among others.

    Kentucky state senate passes bill to greenlight Rand Paul run for president

    "Tuesday in Kentucky, lawmakers in the state senate passed a bill that will allow Republican Senator Rand Paul to run for two offices at once. While Paul isn’t specifically named in the legislation, he was reportedly pushing for it. If Sen. Paul were to receive the Republican nomination for president in 2016, this legislation would allow Paul to appear on the ballot twice. Paul has stated that he intends to campaign to retain his Senate seat, regardless of his presidential aspirations. A spokesman for Sen. Paul thanked the Kentucky senate for avoiding what could have been a contentious debate going forward."

    Stockman Gaining Against Cornyn In Primary Battle

    "The No.2 Republican in the Senate is polling below the 50 percent threshold in the party’s March 4 primary that he needs to clear in order to avoid a May 10 runoff, according to a Feb. 10-12 Human Events/Gravis poll of 729 registered Republicans.

    Sen. John Cornyn (R.-Texas), the GOP Whip in the upper chamber has the approval 49 percent of those questioned and 43 percent preferred him to main challenger Rep. Stephen E. Stockman (R.-Texas), who polled 28 percent, said Doug Kaplan, the president of Gravis Marketing, the Florida-based firm that conducted the poll with both live callers to cell phones and automated calls to landlines. The poll has a margin of error of 3.6 percent.


    Twenty-nine percent of respondents were unsure, he said."
