    FreedomWorks endorses Tom McMillin: http://www.freedomworks.org/content/...-mcmillin-mi-8

FreedomWorks PAC announced its endorsement of Tom McMillin for U.S. Congress in Michigan’s eighth district. After a thorough review of the candidates in the race, FreedomWorks PAC believes Tom McMillin is the clear choice for Michiganders looking to preserve individual freedom. McMillin will go up against Michigan Senate Majority Leader Mike Bishop in the August 5 primary.

McMillin served three terms as a state representative, where he worked to block Michigan’s ObamaCare exchanges, stop Common Core, and lower taxes. He understands the importance of protecting individuals from federal overreach, and sponsored a bill to restrict government drone use and prosecute NSA officials for lying about alleged illegal spying.

FreedomWorks PAC President Matt Kibbe commented, “Voters have a clear choice between another establishment candidate that will toe the party line, and Tom McMillin, a man who will stand up for civil liberties and fight for his constituents. McMillin doesn’t just identify the problems in government, he takes action to come up with proactive solutions. He would undoubtedly be a valuable thought leader for liberty in the House.”

FreedomWorks PAC is a grassroots service center to millions of activists nationwide who are dedicated to fighting for lower taxes, less government, and more freedom in every Congressional district in America. I have filed! The paperwork is done and my name will be on the Republican primary ballot as a candidate for Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts.

This year, our State budget is projected to grow by $8 billion to a record $197 billion. At present spending levels, only citizens of New York have a greater debt burden than Texans. If elected, I promise to resist growth in government spending which takes money away from honest private enterprises and places money in the coffers of the politically connected. Simply put, Texas cannot continue on a path of prosperity without reducing the debt burden being placed on the citizens of Texas. As Comptroller, I will be the people's reliable watchdog, utterly opposed to the waste, fraud and abuse that imperils the continued prosperity and jobs for the citizens of our great State.

I need your help. I will make every effort to win this race. I will deploy the resources that you provide in a timely and workmanlike manner in order to give us the best opportunity for victory. Please send a contribution of $2,000, $1,000 or $500 today.

You may have seen the recent University of Texas poll showing I am currently the front runner in the race for comptroller. What the poll does not show is the struggle many grassroots candidates face finding the funding necessary to run an effective campaign. Many of you know that I've been reluctant to launch this campaign under- funded. I continue to seek support from both individual and business interests who traditionally provide support to candidates in Texas.

    Most sincerely,

    Debra Medina
