UPDATE: Rand Paul has yielded the floor after a 10.5 hour marathon speech
Looks like the Iowa straw poll just got more competitive. I think a lot of the campaigns will flex their muscles for this one, its going to be harder and more expensive to win this year.
The Republican Party of Iowa, in an effort to lure presidential candidates to its August straw poll, will provide free tent space and utilities for the campaigns at the Boone venue, party leaders said Thursday.
That's a savings of potentially tens of thousands of dollars for candidates, who have would bid between $10,000 and $35,000 in past years for prime real estate at the party's fundraiser. This year, campaign spaces will be assigned at random for the Aug. 8 event at the Central Iowa Expo.
Republican state chairman Jeff Kaufmann said the changes were
This morning we were at the HQ of Entrepreneur Magazine in Irvine, CA where Rand appeared early in the morning to meet supporters and then there was a fundraiser where we all called for contributions. Everyone was very pumped, we're off to a great start. Rand will be back in June to fundraise some more.
Tidbit that wasn't announced, Ted Gaines, a California state senator has endorsed Rand told me he is going to be rallying California Republican elected officials to join the Randwagon, or at least he'll attempt to. I think Congressman Tom McClintock is a possibility, California elected Republicans are pretty establishment from my experience, a lot of spineless do littles waiting to see what leadership is doing so they can be a team player.
John Menard Jr. is widely known as the richest man in Wisconsin. A tough-minded, staunchly conservative 75-year-old billionaire, he owns a highly profitable chain of hardware stores throughout the Midwest. He’s also famously publicity-shy — rarely speaking in public or giving interviews.
So a little more than three years ago, when Menard wanted to back Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker — and help advance his pro-business agenda — he found the perfect way to do so without attracting any attention: He wrote more than $1.5 million in checks to a pro-Walker political advocacy group that pledged to keep its donors secret, three sources directly familiar with the transactions told Yahoo
January 20, 2015 A good political campaign is a lot like Megazord, the giant super-robot from the popular '90s TV series Power Rangers.
If you grew up watching TV in the '90s, you will recall that the Megazord was constructed from the five individual robots operated by the Power Rangers. With their forces combined, the Rangers could conquer pretty much any foe the evil Rita Repulsa threw at them.
Political campaigns benefit from a similar diversification of talent. If you have a great media team but your ground game is terrible, that's no good. Similarly, if you have a stellar volunteer base but your senior staff is a bunch of incompetent legacy hires, that
Should Rand Paul join the crowded 2016 Republican field later this spring, as widely expected, Kelley Paul will join the ranks of prospective first ladies who help define their husband's political brands. It's a high-profile role that is challenging at best, yet those who know the family suggest that she would adapt well to the next step in her husband's career.
Reserved but politically savvy, Kelley Paul worked for a Republican consulting firm whose clients included another potential presidential candidate, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, before resigning
Tesla has a special history with the state of New Jersey, having delivered the 500th Roadster there in 2009. Fast forward to 2014, though, and the electric vehicle company is having a decidedly less-positive experience in the Garden State. In short, Tesla's ongoing dealer fight has turned sour, and thing are potentially going from bad to worse today.
Tesla says it has been working "constructively" with the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (NJMVC) and Governor Chris Christie's administration "to defend against the New Jersey Coalition of Automotive Retailers' (NJ CAR) attacks on Tesla's business model and the rights of New Jersey consumers." In other words, the right for Tesla to open its own stores and not use the traditional dealer model. The legislative process on the fate of Proposal PRN 2013-138 (PDF) has been continuing and Tesla says it thought everyone was acting in good faith, but now it's not so sure.

Will be in for a week. (it's a weekly paper) Granite State News page B2.
I hope it reaches a few people, if I get any response at all, I'll try it in some of the other NH papers.
Huge hat tip to D.A.S. for formatting the layout.
Pick the best choice. Considerations to include shipping (i.e. Coastal), farmland, industrial complex, already prepared military bases and the N.G. loyal to the citizens, etc.
Which, where and why?
Joe Biden won't last for four years. With scandals and dementia, it's only a matter of time before he is removed or steps down, and Kamala Harris is installed as POTUS.
When will it happen?
This is hard, coming from a long time 9/11 "Truther", but the time has come for those of us on the right to once and for all, clear our minds of the fog of conspiracies, shadowy "X" men working in the dark against us and of evil conspirers working day and night to subvert us.
I maintain that the time has come now, for a number of reasons:
1 - The Machiavellian marauders are no longer...
In your infomred view, did Trump and his allies help incite Capitol riot?

Great image of Biden being inaugurated while everyone is wearing masks surrounded by heavily armed troops.

I have sometimes tried to find something unique about President Donald, and I think I finally find something that makes dirty Donald stand out from his corrupt predecessor presidents.
Donald seems to be the first in a long, long time that could be considered a genuine steel-president (opposed to the many, oil/bank-presidents we’ve seen).
The result of the 25% tariffs on steel imports since...
Opinions?
I'm a mite late to the punch, been very busy with other and more immediate concerns of late, but anyone know anyone that actually has silver in stock? All the places I've gone are either out or want millions per ozt.
I seek about 3000 ozt. Ag or maybe 30ozt Au.
What say ye?
This fall the Indians on a remote reservation asked their new Chief Oyarde if the coming winter was going to be cold or mild.
Since he was a chief in a modern society, he’d never learned the old tribal secrets. He couldn’t look at the sky to predict what the winter was going to be like.
"It's going to be a very cold winter."
So just to be on the safe side, Oyarde told his tribe that the...
I have been making pizza's weekly for over a decade. It all started when I was in Southern France and had the best pizza ever. We returned there a few years in a row so I have had a good sample of them... They were really good. I've been trying to make the same pizza's but I always lacked one thing, a wood fired oven. I can make pretty nice pizza's using a pizza stone in an electric oven but it...
This is something that I've been trying to keep an eye on since 2020 broke out. I've spoken to a few people over the last year who provide various services and they've noted there's been tons of transplants from CA, NY, and IL. Largely anecdotal, but I believe Oklahoma was one of the states that saw a measurable uptick in migration trends.
This is, of course, worrisome because these people...

It was suggested by Okie RP fan that this topic get it's own thread.
h/t to Occam's Banana for raising the issue.
Humbly submitted:
One of the many books on my reading list includes "How an Economy Grows and Why It Crashes" by Peter D. Schiff. I admit I basically know nothing about economics other than what I've gathered from the news etc. over the years, and my own experiences. While the book makes it easy for me to understand the basic story of what's been happening to the US (and global) economy over the past century or...
For some reaons higher level, initiated masons don't want their lower level brothers to know the origins of freemsonry.
Freemasonry was founded in the 17th century, when Amsterdam was the opium and money centre of the "civilised" world.
In the 9th century, King Pepin of Italy, son of Charlemagne King of the Franks, tried unsuccessfully to conquer Charlemagne's enemy Venice.
This of course...
