On March 16th of this year, the family of Brian Garber made the mistake of calling the Richland County Sheriff's office for assistance in dealing with him (he was on some medications and was upset about something). As is so often the case, instead of helping, the STILL - after 5 1/2 MONTHS - unnamed Sheriff's deputy or deputies rushed in and within seconds had pumped Brian full of holes: 14 hits and 2 misses. Brian had been sitting on a bed upstairs in his parents' home, unarmed. Brian was married with two small children.
Brian's mother said in part:
They didn't ask him his name, they didn't identify themselves, they ran upstairs within 5 seconds and just started shooting him
