There were several lawsuits still winding through our court system, and at least 3 of them pertained at least partially to the fact that the whole tax thing originated in the Senate and not the House. One of the, Liberty University, was tossed last week or so, and tonight I looked to see if any of the others were still alive.
Looks like the case filed by the Assoc of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) was still alive as of a month ago: http://larryjoseph.com/dockets/AAPSv...%20Forfeit.pdf
Oral arguments were heard Jan 10 2014 in the DC District Court, and I don't see a decision yet. If the AAPS win, I would expect the Obama administration to appeal, and if the AAPS lose I expect the AAPS to appeal.
If the Obama administration takes it to SCOTUS I think SCOTUS will hear it, but I would not be surprised if they just refused to hear an appeal if Obama prevails here.
Thus sealing their status as a kangaroo court.
