Two of the most conservative senators in Washington D.C. endorsed John Brunner for U.S. Senate because they KNOW he will bring the conservative change needed in Washington D.C.

Let me start out by saying that should Treasurer Sarah Steelman or Representative Todd Akin win the primary, I would happily and proudly support them to defeat Senator Claire McCaskill (or Air Claire) this November.

My decision to support John Brunner came down to a few facts:

1) Rep. Todd Akin IS a huge earmarker: Recently, the Club for Growth wrote a press release attacking his support for earmarks (Read here: http://hotlineoncall.nationaljournal...-growth-29.php)

He also refused to join conservatives in opposing government subsidies: http://www.stltoday.com/news/local/g...9bb30f31a.html

While Senator Demint was fighting hard against earmarks, Todd Akin was fighting to get his share.

Todd Akin is a friend of the establishment and will not help change the status quo. His earmarks support is in strong contrast to John Brunner's strong opposition: http://johnbrunner.com/brunner-on-the-issues-earmarks/

2) Treasurer Steelman: A fine lady and a true conservative...my decision came down to either her and John Brunner after I eliminated Todd Akin. She has the endorsement from Senator Demint's friend, Senator Mike Lee (R-Utah). She has been endorsed by conservatives from Governor Sarah Palin to the Tea Party Express to SBA-List. I would be proud to support her anyday!

My decision to support John Brunner over Sarah Steelman came down to two facts: 1) Her former ties to labor unions are a huge concern to me. She received a nice endorsement from Jim Hoffa and the Teamsters. and 2) Her speaking abilities aren't very good. Unless she improves, she would have a difficult time arguing against Air Claire's lies and false promises. But let me repeat, it would be very easy for me to support Sarah Steelman over Air Claire or Todd Akin.

3) Now to why I support John Brunner:

b) He has the endorsements of two of the most conservative senators: Tom Coburn and Ron Johnson.

In case you need proof of their conservative values, Tom Coburn and Ron Johnson BOTH scored 100% from the Club for Growth and score above 90% with Ron Johnson tied for the third most conservative by the Heritage Foundation.



c) He is fully committed to cutting spending (and he has a plan): He would support legislation establishing a maximum cap on federal spending of 18% of GDP. He wants the federal government to cut at least a cent out of every dollar from all federal spending, and supports permanently banning earmarks.

d) He is a strong defender of the right to life, the sanctity of marriage, and the Constitution. He will refuse to vote for any legislation not authorized by the Constitution.

This Tuesday August 7, 2012, if you live in Missouri, please VOTE FOR JOHN BRUNNER! If you decide he's not for you, support Sarah Steelman.
