I don't have the time to go through every single disbursement from 2008, but here is a sample from Ron's congressional campaign indicating how much they took in, and then how much the congressional campaign disbursed to the Campaign for Liberty. A clearly legal path of donations and disbursements.

This information is from the FEC website.

I hope this clears up any confusion about the initial funding source of the C4L.

Not that it wasn't legal - just that 4 million dollars is a lot of money that people sent in to get him elected president. They didn't send it to start C4L.

How long did he milk the campaigning, knowing the money was actually going to be used somewhere else?

That's true, it is quite a bit of money that was donated during last few moneybombs "to win". I remember it well. I ran into someone at the gas station who thought Ron Paul dropped out. But Ron Paul STILL has a heck of a following. I see Ron's first book post-super tuesday being a NY times bestseller.

Of course Ron's goal is that victory is accomplished by changing history.

Ron Paul posted this video to supporters on March 6, 2008, after the Texas primary which followed the media saying right after Super Tuesday tht Ron had pulled out of the race. Despite press releases to the contrary, the 'pickups' of that false statement were never corrected. I think this says, at the time he decided the handwriting was on the wall, exactly what he was planning, so far as he knew it at that time.

Note that the first disbursement was a month later after he set it up. I was in favor of his pursuing Campaign for Liberty, and I maxed out. I think he was very above board about what he was doing. I was wrong about his sending money there, I only looked at the FEC report at the end. But I also thought he had paid for the rally out of campaign funds and now I wonder which entity paid for that...

Thanks for the video, brings back old times. And yep, I remember it the same way. Plus Ron is #winning now anyways.
