As repugnant as the ideas these people are protesting in favor of, is anybody here really going to support the idea of armed state enforcers marching in and shooting people for exercising their right to peaceably assemble and protest government for redress of grievances?
I hope my friend Anti-Federalist will indulge me for this. I have to say that I wholeheartedly agree with him. We have an opportunity to show people that we too deplore the possibility of a blatant Police-State tactic being used against fellow Americans protesting. This separates us from so many of the fake-assed shmucks out there on both sides of the political aisle.

I posted this to my facebook page (no responses so far):
To all who are siding with the Wisconsin protesters. I want to be up front that I DEPLORE the idea of the Governor turning The National Guard on the protesters.

I ask, will YOU deplore the same thing if its ME and others like me that are in the cross-hairs of government goons when we are protesting? Will you have the courage of your convictions to deplore these kinds of Police-State tactics?
I would hope, in my heart, that these very same protesters would deplore such a situation if it were to occur. Those on my Facebook page know I make no bones about being a Free-Market Anarchist, a Ron Paul supporter, a gun rights advocate and one who supports the REAL Tea Party. As we all know, the government turned its dreadful gaze upon us already back with the 2009 MIAC Report from DHS. We're on their radar and I have no faith that they won't turn the Cops, National Guard or NorthComm goons on us the moment we gain traction in a protest.

That will be the true test, as AF said, of separating the wheat from the chaff. Will these people really call upon the government to use force against us when we are peacefully protesting the government seizing our money at gunpoint even if we decry the same thing happening to them?

Thank you for posting this. This was exactly my concern when first hearing about the protests, and there are a few other aspects of this that just sound iffy to me. I also just decided randomly to take a look at the blogs for the first time, and was very happy to read your post.
