Abolishing Public Education

Hello,
One of the biggest mistakes we make when arguing for the abolishment of any institution is claiming that we know the best alternative or what the market will choose if left to it's own devices. We don't know what would happen, and acting like we do sets up false expectations to whoever your talking to allowing them to quickly become dissapointed and revert back to statism if things didn't work exactly like you imagined.
More than likely instead of any single possiblity of a replacement of any particular government institution, the market would be populated with a various competing alternatives and this is a good thing. From the ashes of competition usally arises the most universally acceptable and workable solution (notice I said acceptable, not efficient, the best product doesn't always win or they would've never canceled Pushing daisies. Although without market experimentation the show would've never got the two amazing seasons it did have.)
So enjoy this video of me pontificating on what types of models you might see if Public Schools were abolished.
Sincerely,
Alex Merced
