  1. Hey man, hope all is well with you. I don't post here anymore, but every so often I come back to read a thread or 2 to see what the tone is around here. Glad to see you're still dropping some wisdom around these parts.

I feel bad about the way I treated you when I left here. I can be a bit reactionary sometimes and it's not good for me or the people I'm trying to "persuade". I'm actually in therapy now, because I have come to the conclusion that I needed it, and I think it has helped a lot so far.

Anyways, just wanted to drop in and say hey while I'm logged in. Keep up the good fight, and I'm sorry for being such a dick at times in the past.Much respect.
  2. That means a lot man. Thank you. I also apologize for how I react to such disagreements. I let my emotions get in the way sometimes, and it's not good for me or the person I'm arguing with. That's one of the many reasons I feel I gotta just leave all this political stuff behind. It's hard on me, emotionally. It wasn't just the conversation with you that convinced me that I should leave this place, it was sort of just the straw that broke the camels back. You are and have always been easily one of my favorite members here, and I was very disheartened to have such a strong disagreement with you on an issue that I consider to be the heart of it all.Our conversation has been on my mind since it happened, and your apology really means a lot to me. Thanks man!
  3. The fact that the clear and overwhelming majority of society supports this kind of parenting speaks volumes to me about how statism is truly learned. In the home. Children aren't born statists. They are taught it by their supposed "Authorities", and frankly.... If the joy that you expressed when you watched that video truly reflects how you think children should be raised, than I consider you about as statist as the rest of them, at your very core. Do with that as you will. I know I'm not likely to persuade you. It is unlikely I'll respond further for some time, if ever.
  4. You can say I have a lot to learn about liberty and property, as though you are in some position of superior knowledge, but this is nothing more than your ego claiming intellectual superiority over mine and you know it. I'm not, in any way, saying I'm in a position of superior knowledge to you, but what I am saying is that the moral argument is not intellectually complex. It`s very basic and simple. In fact, I think young children tend understand it better than most adults who have suffered years of aggressive parental discipline, public schooling and statist media propaganda. They aren't born statists, they are converted into them. The "Motherland" the "fatherland" the "Founding Fathers"... it's all so fucking clear to me now. Statism is the irrational belief in authority and it begins at home, with the parents.

  6. n/p. I have a bit of a temper myself and sometimes have to leave a thread for a while to cool off. Especially when I incur the wrath of LE.
  7. Yea, I'm aware that I overheated a little in that thread. It would probably be in my own interests to take a step back and approach these type a things with a cooler head in the future.

Thanks for your criticism and insight, always appreciated.
  8. Thanks for the +rep. I appreciate your passion for issues like spanking (I consider circumcision mutilation and unlawful), but you really ought to be less aggressive. Make like Socrates and attack your opponents with class and eloquence.
  9. Cool. Let me know if and when you get that Voluntaryist community site going. If the price is reasonable I'll consider joining. It's less frustrating dealing with Voluntaryists in my experience because they can at least be rational about disagreements.
  10. I post on Joe Rogans forum sometimes. A good mixed crowd there, with a lot of curious minds and dumbass statists who are easy to expose. I also, very seldomly, post on the Freedomainradio forum. I mostly just go there to take in information, and learn. For the most part though, I'm just going to focus on my business and entrepreneurship with my time. I mostly post on private business forums that have a paid membership requirement.

To be honest, I like the idea of starting up a voluntaryist community with a paid membership requirement, and where everyone who pays, also gets moderator priveledges. It would certainly weed out the trolls, and would be a bit of an experiment in forum self-regulation. There are a few people I've talked to who are interested in the concept, so I think I might actually try to throw something together soon.

Anyways, sorry for the ramble. That's where I'm at these days. Hope all is well with you, man!
