Rand Paul meets with Gorbachev

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) met on Tuesday with former Soviet Union leader Mikhail Gorbachev as part of his weeklong trip to Russia.

Paul praised Gorbachev after the meeting, saying he understood the "critical necessity of engagement" between the United States and Russia.

“President Gorbachev was instrumental in bringing down the Iron Curtain and restoring ties with the West. ... Our conversation further encouraged me that open dialogue between our two nations does not have to be a thing of the past," Paul said in a statement.

He added that while he discussed "various items" with Gorbachev, who was the final leader of the Soviet Union, the "importance of nuclear disarmament was greatly discussed."

Rand should take a disinfectant shower now that the meeting is over, Gorbachev is globalist/communist scum.

I could not disagree more.

Gorbachev willfully played a very positive, influential role in ending communism, and exposing the evil that is communism. Dont forget, comrade, that his predecessors were fine with starving the populous, and putting the survival of the government over its people.

Heck, if trump even had 1/8th the ballz that ol Gorby has, he just might just make america great again. For that matter, if Gorby had Trump's ballz, Russia would have brought back the gulag - forced labor, and death by the 10's of millions.

Good on Rand for meeting with him - I'm sure Gorby knows a thing or 2 about dealing with shadow government, and establishment opposition.

No, I know Yeltsin was the one who had his hand on the knife but Gorbachev was part of the act.

In any case even if I am wrong about Gorbachev and the fall of the USSR he has been running around pushing globalist causes ever since, he is evil.

What if Rand is getting intel on the U.S. Deep State from the GRU? Not so farfetched, when you consider how much he despises our intelligence agencies. Rand knows firsthand that many are criminals.

Postman analogy doesnt quite work here. Rand unlike a regular postman is actually working in partnership with the mail sender and there is a rumor going that Rand actually drafted the letter and urged Trump to sign it for him to deliver this letter.

Rand's involvement in this episode is deeper than just a mere delivery man. He wins big if this turns out to be a political win and at the same time, he loses big if the american voter rejects it
