ok so we are getting these gov handout rebate checks in order to stimulate the economy......

my question is do we then have to file this money next year as part of our income???

are we going to have to pay this money back next year???..........and if so.........


if we dont cash these checks we dont have to pay them back???

i hope i dont sound too dumb for asking this...im just confused....if it sounds too good to be true it probably is....the gov handing out free money and not expecting it back???? hmmmm...doesnt sound right

These will not be subject to income tax as they are seen as a 'refund' of monies already paid (whether they actually were or not)
