It is estimated we have over 4 million home schooler's in this country

I propose we try to find a list of these people as they are probably for freedom and the constitution
I think they would be very receptive to Dr. Paul’s message.

What do you all think? :D

Tread carefully with the homeschoolers (of which I am one). Many of them are supporting Huckabee or Romney just because of the religious angle.

Please help :D

i have a huge platefull in NC here.
ill help though by wirting 30 letters if you can get a list or i'd call phone numbers. Maybe the Ron Paul Letter Writing Campaign people can manage the distribution of addresses, or maybe Call4Paul (or aren't there other groups calling also?)could do the calls if we chipin for the effort. >>> if someone could get them the list.

Please help :D

Do you have a printer who you already use? There are many ways to go about it, but I would suggest going to someone you already use/trust so you don't get a bunch of return mail from dead/old addresses.

Anyway, call 'em up and say you want to buy a mailing list.. for them to give you a quote first so that you can change the demographics to ensure a smaller/larger list if need be.

Tell them the demographics you want to hit (first zip code(s); then single-family homes only or whatever; household income level start and cap; homeschoolers; any other criteria I'm not thinking of (although I don't think you have to narrow down further than that (except to make your list smaller/larger).

If you can think of anything further to target your audience, then throw that in BUT never do too much "well, not them or them or them" you can be too narrow.

I am a homeschooler and I have sent e-mails to the local group -

The Homeschooling Legal Defense Association(HSLDA) endorsed and is backing Huckabee. It is a national organization. Maybe since Huckabee is running out of money, we can start planting seeds of support there for the future. Here's the letter - seems that only picked Huckabee because at the time he was a "top tier" candidate.

Please try to keep this thread on top I think this is very good way to reach a lot of support. 4 million!!!! Or even if 80 % were not interested that would still be over 1 million people! :D

I'm a homeschooler. :-)

You can find 16743 blogging homeschooling moms & dads here: http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/home.php

Among the homeschoolers that I'm in contact with, it is about a 60/40 split Ron Paul and Huckabee.

Most the homeschoolers in my area are going for Huck because of the Christian angle.

One of the big things they are for here is that they teach Creationism solely. You might find the Youtube videos of Ron Paul decrying evolution helpful here.

Spunky is a well-known blogging homeschool mom. She has not come out for Ron Paul 100%, but she has some *devastating* articles on Huckabee!

Homeschool Convention season is JUST starting now. It isn't hard to get a table at a convention and pass out lit.

That isn't true. I'm a young earth creationist homeschooler and I believe it is important that my children are well versed in all of the varying evolutionary theories. Because I believe one thing doesn't mean I am ignorant of the others.....

[QUOTE]True Christian education is not a negative thing; it is not a matter of isolating the student from the full scope of knowledge. Isolating the student from large sections of human knowledge is not the basis of a Christian education. Rather it is giving him or her the framework or total truth, rooted in the Creator's existence and in the Bible's teaching, so that in each step of the formal learning process the student will understand what is true and what is false and why it is true or false. ~ Francis Schaeffer (http://www.schaefferstudycenter.org/id3.html)

I am a homeschooler as well and it seems the majority in this area were Thompson supporters. When I talk to them about Ron Paul, they have no idea where he stands on the issues. Its an uphill battle, but now that Thompson is out of the race, perhaps they will take a closer look at RP.

Great article!

Is there any big group/list for homeschoolers that we might be able to get access to for Ron? He is, surely, the President of their dreams.
