I'm sure posts like this have been made before. One of my professors, at a christian school, I believe is a Huckabee supporter. We've talked about politics a lot, I've known him for years, and he likes Paul and Huckabee. What's the best way to approach him other than pulling the one world government CFR know nothing tax hike soft on immigration card? I don't really wanna make it sound like a conspiracy theory so I'm not sure which of Huckabee's faults I'll go with.

He wants to implement a tax plan that will destroy consumer spending, hes for a national smoking ban. Hes destroyed nearly half a million dollars in state property when he left office ( the information in the hard drives cost around 400k to be replaced by the subsequent administration ).

Augustine's Just War Theory in regards to the Iraq war

and

Huckabee quotes bible verses to justify his government policies but all of the verses he quotes were directed to the people, not the government. It is the responsibility of the people to take care of the poor AND the sick and that is what the God of the bible obligates his people to do, not the government via stolen cash. If you listen to Huckabee in the debates, he's pro-subsidy for basically anything (not just in our country, but in the middle east) that he personally thinks would better the country, but not understanding human sociology and psychology and the true compassion that would come about through economic freedom.

Good advise about Jesus' doctrines being for individuals and not governments - a lot of Paul's principled votes make some people shudder that don't understand the facts. I think if a person feels obligated to donate to humanitarian efforts, then they shouldn't expect other people (or the government to take money from us) to do it. Any more suggestions?
