McCain or Obama? They both attracts the most independent and young voters based on CNN exit polls in their respective party.

Ron Paul would chew up John McCain and spit him out. McCain has zero charisma, zero uniqueness, zero power to inspire with new ideas or radical concepts.

Barack Obama is a serious threat, because he makes his supporters believe that his voters would be supporting a Washington outsider who would end the war, end poverty, and stop corporate criminals.

Right now its McCain since he's running for the GOP nomination too.

McCain is our threat because RP is running against him NOW.

Obama is just a POTENTIAL threat... because he might not win the nomination.

None of the above. From what I'm hearing around here, now that Thompson has dropped out, Romney is going to be our biggest threa because he's being touted as the best one regarding illegal immigration that 'can win'.

but it seems Romney's voters pool are pretty exclusive with that of RP. More of women and older voters... and or course mormons :p

Let's worry about the Republicans first, then the Democrats

Barack Obama is taking away our young support.

Barack Obama is taking away our young support.

If they're that fickle...

Anyway, the majority we need to win are the older voters anyway.

Barack Obama is taking away our young support.

so does McCain. He wins the younger voters vote based on CNN exit poll for quite a few states.

McCain, a Washington insider since the 80s and an even bigger proponent of the Bush doctrine (including the occupation of Iraq) than Bush himself, is winning the anti-establishment and anti-war vote. He also causes us trouble with independents (in open primaries/caucuses), young people, and budget hawks. Obama really only hurts us with independents (in open primaries/caucuses) and young people, and isn't even a factor in the closed contests (which is most of them).

I am surprised too here in East TN...way more Romney supporters than I could ever imagine. Although one of my friends' top 3 was Thompson, Hunter, then Paul, so now he is going to vote for Paul! There are more evangelicals here going for Romney than I ever expected, I think a lot of people are starting to see through Huckabee. Dr. Paul's support is probably the strongest (by a slim margin) in my precinct now that Thompson has dropped out.

McCain IMHO because of the republican nomination, then we will have plenty of time to convince Barockies Ron Paul is the right chocie.

Neither. McCain can't win the Republican nomination and Obama is a Democrat.

Barack Obama is where the majority of the youth vote has gone to. If it weren't for that, they may have been more attracted towards a Republican candidate named Ron Paul. Problem is that so much of the youth despise the Republicans, they don't even look at any of them, hence why Obama has become so popular with young people. That was one of the downfalls of our campaign.

I think the only solution is for us to leave the Republican Party. Take the Party down. Become Independent or Libertarian.
