He knows his strengths and weaknesses and doesn't go with the flow like all the other candidates. He knows he doesn't have name recognition so he uses his message to inspire passion into the people that know who he is and they are inspired to donate, become delegates, etc. :)

The other candidates all rely on New Hampshire and Iowa and if they have a strong message(Al Sharpton, Howard Dean, Steve Forbes, etc) and fail to win these states then they give up.

Makes sense, but unfortunately this is a numbers game, and there are more dumb people than intelligent ones.

There's more to it than that. He plays his enemies off each other. He makes strategic alliances. It's amazing to watch. I wouldn't want to play him chess or poker.

The way in which he is most like Reagan is that he is underestimated by everyone.
