If you've got one, by all means put it on!

There was some talk earlier of wearing tricorn hats.

Uncle Sam? Yes.
Lady Liberty? Yes.

Revolutionary War Soldiers? not so much. We don't want to look like a militia. Besides, Revolutionary war uniforms were not much more than tattered scraps and a hodgepodge of uniforms from Europe. Its amazing they won. Downright inspirational.

I'm all for enthusiasm, but I would file this the same place I file upside down flags. Well intentioned but the idea is lost on the masses. Lets stick to common patriotic symbols.

At all rallies, I wear a three corner hat (from an on-line costume shop) while wearing very modern looking sunglasses and a Ron Paul t-shirt. This makes viewers think about the Revolutionary War period while conveying that the Founding Father's ideas are still a viable "modern" philosophy.

I do fully endorse three cornered hats. If anyone knows a good place to get one Id like one to. Most hats don't fit me. I have a ginormous cranium.

I got my hat at Frank Bee Costumes: http://www.costumeman.com/detrhat.html
I got the deluxe version but they have some cheaper ones. I get people stopping me all the time to ask where they can get a hat like that.
