Why not check out the Issues section of RP's website to convince them to vote FOR Ron Paul, rather than AGAINST Romney?

Mitt Romney's company owns Clear Channel -- "Clear Channel hosts Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, and Sean Hannity and controls over 1,000 TV and radio stations nationwide".

So ask them if they can trust what the media says about him? How do they feel about someone buying their way into the White House?

And like pcosmar says. . go here http://www.massresistance.org/romney/

Mitt Romney's solutions to the economy are tax cuts financed by borrowing, because he has proposed no major spending cuts other than reducing pork, which accounts for less than 10% of the entire Federal budget, and even goes so far to propose a quazi-socialistic healthcare policy. Despite all his talk about being a CEO, he has proposed no major macro-economic solutions to helping the American economy.

Here's Ron Paul's advice:

a simple search of any candidate on http://www.digg.com brings up a nice list of facts about them.

To no surprise, anybody but Paul brings up almost 100% negative facts.

2 big issues for me.

Mitt Romney's history shows support of infringement on gun rights. Constitution says (buzzz) nope, can't do that.

Mitt Romney clearly states his desire to federally make health insurance available (read: mandate, his website is pretty plain) for all americans. Once again, (buzzz) sorry Mr. Romney, "why don't we just open up the constitution", that is not allowed.

Will you vote for someone who violates the constitution to be its primary defender? If so just kiss your rights good bye. If the leader of our country is unwilling to be constrained by the written law we have nothing to protect us from his whims and desires. That spells big trouble for the citizens of the United States.

How about he forced gay mairage on the people of mass.

This is invalid as even Ron Paul would have supported peoples freedom to marry regardless of sexual orientation in that state. Plus the people of Mass wanted that, I lived there during his entire term. In my opinion he did not do a very good job and was not even there most of the time. Here are some reasons he should not be president based on his record in massachusetts:

1) He signed into law a bill which forced people to buy health insurance or suffer a higher tax burden. He brags about this to this day, although many in mass were not pleased about it. He did veto certain parts of this legislation.
2)The state and local tax burden increased during his governorship.
3)The gas tax was raised 2 cents per gallon.
4)He was a total flip flop on the gay marriage/civil union issue. (Info on this can be found all over the internet)
5) He made his riches wheeling and dealing in private equity. He is essentially a great salesman. Not the realm of the common man and would lead one to believe he will never have the interests of the middle class and poor at heart only selling us something we don't need or want in the tradition of great american salesmen. He also saw to it many people lost their jobs and were hired back at lower wages; grief he used to line his pockets.
6) Do we want another president who is a child of wealth and privilege?
7) This one is not popular but he is mormon and they are absolutely crazy religious fanatics, often given to corruption. Just look into what they actually believe...

There is plenty of evidence as to why he should never be president all over the net, here are a few articles to read:

http://www.factcheck.org/more_mitt_missteps.html
http://www.boston.com/news/local/articles/2005/06/17/romney_backs_new_effort_to_prohibit_gay_marriages/
http://www.boston.com/news/local/articles/2005/12/18/property_taxes_still_on_rise_in_mass/?page=full

If you want to do some real work there is plenty out there. One could find a million reason he should never be a president of the united states. Just look around....:D

Romney is hiding his career from everyone except those in the know.

http://dyn.politico.com/printstory.cfm?uuid=8D9BFB7C-3048-5C12-00CCFBA73E2825DE

He has been leading a major capitol investment group that takes over companies and focus on high level profits but lays off a lot of workers.

This is well known and it has a lot of people scared that if he is chosen as pres or vp it would be a SUPER bad thing given the economic home losses and job losses in america.

Democrats are keeping silent on this, but a few strategist brought this up the other night and said this would be GREAT if he were elected.

We dare not elect him given his track record in laying off workers in companies.

There will be no mercy by the voters who are suffering from the economy.

It could be the greatest slaughter of all time, taking the congress with it!

Romney has no chance therefore for the general nomination and should step down.

Ron Paul is the only other person with a very strong economic background. The difference is ron has been pushing tax breaks for teachers, tips for works, tax breaks for homeschoolers, repealing the tax on social security, locking SS away from the congress, moving SS into interest bearing accounts, and shifting the 23 year olds and younger off the system and shutting down foreign waste of money and bring the money home to boost the economy up to 500 billion dollars and keep the promise to those above 23!

This is a super win for businesses and those hurting that will see that this guy really does stuff they want!

Also he has wrote acts for stopping judicial activism that the top leaders in the party want signed into law without exception. He has also pushed for constitutional ammendment to stop anchor babies and has the minutemen wanting him badly for illegal immigration. Lastly he has wrote an act to define life beginning at conception. He is an OBGYN that has owned all discussions on health care and abortion that any one has taken him on and i mean anyone....

These will be two super hot issues this election!

Ron just needs a solid VP to balance out the military interests like duncan hunter

Let Ron Paul do the selling, its always beter to here it from his mouth. Let them listen through the issues on http://ronpaulreasons.com (official campaign site). People who listen to him for 6 min are sold on him. I would go that route and try to educate them

Everyone has mentioned some interesting points against Mitt, but here's my take on it:

Mitt is famous for being a CEO shark that comes to the rescue of companies. In other words, he knows how to run a company REALLY well -- and he uses that as a reason for being elected. But there's a problem with that statement I think people are missing.

Should the USA be ran as a COMPANY or as a COUNTRY?

If like a company, then the job of government is to listen to the needs of it's shareholders, right? You might think that the shareholders would be the people, but it's not -- it's the constituents, who typically answer to lobbyists and special interests! The people become the customers annoyed by the "no-customer-service" of government.

If ran like a country, the job of government is to listen to the needs of the people.

romney's "job" in the "economy" or how he made his money was buying companies, chopping them up and selling them, which destroyed all of the jobs. so he has experience in eliminating jobs, not creating jobs.
