I got this email today from the Official Ron Paul Campaign:

January 23, 2008

Currently, there are vacant seats at the Tuesday, Feb. 5 West Virginia State Convention, and we need our people appointed to as many of these vacant seats as possible! As it stands, the West Virginia Convention is up for grabs -- and we can win it, if we act now.

The last day your County Chairman can make an appointment is Saturday, Jan 26.

Contact your County Chairman and County Executive Committee members and ask about being appointed to represent your county at the WV State Convention if there is a vacancy. Some counties have Executive Committee vacancies; some have Delegate At-Large vacancies; some have both and some have none.

There were approximately 400 vacant seats at the State Convention, before County Chairman began making appointments to fill those vacant seats.

To find out if your county has any vacancies of either type contact your County Chair, contact list below: http://www.ronpaul2008.com/states/west-virginia/county-chairs/

We can win it, if you act now.

If you, or some one you know, receives an appointment, please contact Jim Fox, Special Assistant for WV, jim.fox@ronpaul2008.com (757) 791-7777.

Kevin Clauson
West Virginia Coordinator

Everyone should contact their County Chairman immediately and see if there are any vacant seats in your county.

next to winning over the uncommitted Delegates, this is the most important thing now - gaining an appointment is another Ron Paul Delegate

it shouldn't be hard to find Eligible Republicans for RP in the northern counties - the southern counties are another story, there are so few Republicans to start with - still worth the effort to find folks in those counties willing to contact their county chairman and ask to be appointed so that their county is represented in the State Convention
