View Full Version : To All Ron Paul Supporters
I am just as frustrated as anyone is with the MSM blackout of Dr. Paul. I do feel he should be given equal amount of air time as anyone if not more. One thing that is truly going to hinder our/Dr. Paul's effort is the way WE are handling this. Calling, commenting, emailing the various outlets/GOP offices of states isn't helping. It is making us look like the kooks they claim us to be. We are playing right into their hands with our actions. The energy that is given to respond to such things could be put to better use. Don't go off half cocked.
There are plenty of ways to beat them at their own game. One sure fire way is to write letters to the editor of ANY hometown type paper. Anyone can do this for any paper. Ben Franklin wrote letters under the name Silence Dogood. Maybe we should think along those lines. Do something that they don't expect from us. They expect us to shout out at other candidates and interrupt what they are dong. Unfortunately we have played right into this. There are better things that we could be doing to further Dr. Paul, not hinder him by acting like a mob of morons.

You're right. Let's just help towards making the mainstream more and more IRRELEVANT by waking people up.

ALL elections are won locally. ALL of them.
The reason we talk about Ben Franklin in the ways we do is because he realized that effective use of his time and energies were more important and more constructive than screaming.

Best point of the OP is to write letters to editors of local papers. Old people read the paper every single day.

Speaking of Benny Boy... everyone should read The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin - amazing book and an American Classic.

If everyone here read it and truly followed it, we wouldn't be down here at 4%. :P
I found this link that lists thousands of papers in the US. I happened to click on the Alameda paper in California and they claim that 3 million people visit their site and that they print what most major papers won't.
http://www.onlinenewspapers.com/usstate/usatable.htm
Also this Florida paper http://www.sun-sentinel.com/ if you click on politics they have bios listed for each candidate. They did a decent piece on Dr. Paul.
I am going to draft up a letter of sorts and I will post it for opinions before I start sending it off.
I am thinking that with the debates being in Florida on Thursday people will be looking in the local papers on Friday for info. After the debates on Thursday would be perfect time to start sending letters to the Florida papers, via online or snail mail

This is a great idea.
Also, there are links to the major newspapers in Florida here:

Simply draft one letter to the editor and send it off to all linked.
