Everyone should take a deep breath and realize that while we did not get an outright majority that does not mean we 'lost.'

When the state convention comes around we can always negotiate with a different candidates supporters (e.g. Romney) and make a deal where we will take 30 and they will take 10. This should make his group happy since McCain would be prevented from taking delegates.

You have to remember that Romney and McCain are slugging it out, so the enemy of their enemy is their friend.

I'm not sure if people like you have grasped the concept of the nWo

The votes hadn't been even counted yet.

from what i understand, it still looks like we may have taken the majority in 5 of 7 districts. according to the info on the LA GOP website (http://lagop.com), they can call districts 3 and 7 without counting the provisional ballots, but for the rest, the number of provisional ballots cast is greater than the difference in votes between the different slates.

SO... if we assume that most of those provisional ballots were cast for Dr Paul (is that a good assumption?), then we're in GREAT SHAPE.

So wait that means ron paul jumps from 4 delegates to 40?
How many delegates ron paul might get if its true that ron paul own?

Naive. They will offer us no quarter, they are cut from the same nwo mold.

Exactly. These guys will fight each other for what they see as their prize, but they'll band together and fall on their swords if thats what it takes to stop Ron Paul.

He is a common threat to them all.

I disagree. They will do whatever they believe is in their best interest. If banding together with us would keep McCain from getting delegates, you can bet Romney will do it (unless we have more delegates than McCain).

I, personally, would like to know what Giuliani's doing on a "pro-life" slate.

Louisiana won't be decided until the state convention. Ron Paul got the most "committed" uncommitted delegates.
Now we are working on getting the other uncommitted delegates to join up.
We started last night... and really, we won't need to bring many over to get majority.
We may have to make a "deal"... if we can form a majority coalition with romney supporters, we could divvy up national delegates with them.

Brett -- do you think we can assemble a list of our 105 delegates for the 7 districts? Would be nice to be able to identify who we elected, and who is on the bubble... Who do you think could help with this?

You don't need to look any further than what happened yesterday to see this isn't true. They already picked their side -- anyone but Ron Paul.

JeninLouisiana should have a list of all our delegates in the districts and if she doesn't, she can get them.

I'm speculating, but does anybody think that this could be a coalition of delegates that had anticipated their candidates dropping out? They were already signed up and had paid their fees.

Smart idea. Good luck!
