I'm having a little bit of a Neo moment from Matrix. I feel like I've awakened and since that awakening I have not since been happy...i'm more worried and distressed. I think I liked living in my fantasy world where the Federal Reserve had the peoples best interest in mind. When I didn't realize that there is enough oil in Prudhoe Bay AK to power America for at least 150 years. When I thought the war was about terrorism and not us having to secure our oil supplies. I just feel like ever since I reached nirvana I have not enjoyed life like I used to in my blissfill ignorant way. With the declining dollar, the endless wars that candidates on both side support , and a banking system that is stealing from the American people in the form of inflation, I am losing hope. I'm realizing more and more each day that if we don't get Ron Paul in the White House this nation we call America will evaporate.

Please give some encouragement and give me your Neo experiences-
BTW: I signed up as a precinct captian. I'm really shy and if I can do it everyone else can too. It's the only way we can possibly do this thing. JOIN JOIN JOIN JOIN JOIN!!!!

Blind is this world. Few are those who see clearly. As birds escape from a net, few go to a blissful state.

Focus on what you can do locally, don't worry about the big picture out of your control. By taking action and doing things you will overcome your worries.

Mostly.

I know exactly what you are going through. I was exactly the same way. I did not gain my awareness until last April when I watched a dutch documentary about our politics. It was something we would never watch in this country. I felt so distressed for over a month. But those feelings passed. You have to get up and educate yourself about the world around you. Since this time, I must have read about 50 books on current events (I'm not kidding on the number). I just finished 'The PetroDollar' and now reading "Prince of Darkness: Richard Perle". With this knowledge, you can better inform others. I am generally shy too but something happened to me since that time as well. I started learning about Dr. Paul and have been active in the NY, PA, NJ area rallies and handing out literature. It changes your perception, ideas, way of life, and motivation to get things done.

Consider this a good thing.

I know how you feel, I felt the same way last month. Since I have been watching the market drop for the last month though I found that I am feeling better. You see I determined that this we either help us win or I will profit from the sheep following Romney and McCain. I have sold off all of my mutual funds and I am picking up new investments that will do well over the next 2 years while the market continues to crash. I certainly hope we save the United States and I think we will. In the meantime I am empowered by knowing the economy will prove Ron Paul right and I will profit.

Dangit I wrote this really nice long post with lots of info and my browser crashes........

Any ways....

here is the short and sweet.....
3 Possible options.

1. Dr. Paul wins = Free prosperous nation.

2. Dr Paul goes 3rd party = Democrat wins, Dr Paul places second with the (R) loosing big. The policy of Dr Paul makes an impact and changes a lot of economic policy which helps keep the country alive.

3. Dr Paul looses R, and message makes no impact = this country ends, All the Dr. Paul supporters move to Montana and set up our own country with the same constitution with Three amendments.

Amend 1 : Every law must be read out loud before any vote may be taken, and every law must be re-passed every year or it is removed from the books and does not apply anymore.

Amend 2 : Any law that is written must be examined in the light of the Constitution and any time there is a question to the intent of the Constitution then laws written should always end on the side of liberty and freedom.

Amend 3 : Any representative of the government who willfully and with full knowledge breaks the oath to protect and defend the constitution shall be tried for treason. This does not include Amendments.

At least you had those few years of ignorant bliss. I learned very early on (prior to the age of 13) just how the world worked. It is very difficult to be happy when you are aware of the pervasive destruction that is brought about by people who are, sadly, ELECTED.

Killatop.. I hear you. I've aged since I woke up a few years ago. The understanding of the reality that we face weighs heavily upon me, too.

Once in awhile it helps to step away and enjoy a day with someone you love.

Even so, I have fought back tears at parades, concerts and just sitting in traffic watching all the people living as if... as if their reality is real and not the fake that I now know it to be.
I could cry everytime I think about it.. now even.

It is encouraging to see someone start to wake up, though. I just wish it was more of them...

Worst part about it is when you tell people they think you're nuts. When you provide them with evidence they say there's nothing we can do and continue on with their lives.

I wish I could find the quote and the philosopher who is credited with saying it, but it went basically like this.

"Tend to your garden". I can't remember the whole passage but it is supposed to be used as a metaphore for life. I completely disagree, i think he was being quite literal in his meaning. This philosopher had looked so long and so hard at the evil that surrounded him, that the enormity of it supposedly drove him insane. This passage talked about the metaphore of the garden and how it relates to life.

But I disagree, I think he meant quite literally that tending a garden is the ESSENSE of mankind.

You see I went through what you are currently going though about 3 1/2 years ago. i awoke to the realities of the Iraq war and the realities of Peak Oil and the realities of what it takes for the United States of America to be "free". I know the death that is the consequence of our countries avarace and waste.

I went through 2 years of shear depression following this awakening. If you follow the 5 steps of Grieving I think you'll get a good handle on what is happening to you.

Link http://mt.essortment.com/stagesofgri_rvkg.htm

I found that tending my garden and becoming self sufficient is the best medicine you can follow. Be a good neighbor and a good steward and a good influence to those around you. You can only do what you can do. Hope that people will see your true happiness and will want to emulate you. That is the only hope this world has.

That I think is at it's very essenese the Ron Paul message.

Take a look at it from my perspective. I've seen this disaster coming for years, and while the future seems gloomy, there is one bright shining star of hope in our skies that everyone can see. A hope I never knew before.

This could be our last stand, but at least we're being given a chance here. A chance I never foresaw.

Ron Paul may have revealed a dark future to many who were walking blind, but he also renewed hope in those who were not. I thought we were beyond redemption, as a nation, but Dr. Paul has proved me wrong.

How Deep the Rabbit Hole Goes
written by Andy Wachowski & Larry Wachowski

Morpheus: I imagine that right now you're feeling a bit like Alice. Tumbling down the rabbit hole?

Neo: You could say that.

Morpheus: I can see it in your eyes. You have the look of a man who accepts what he sees because he's expecting to wake up. Ironically, this is not far from the truth. Do you believe in fate, Neo?

Neo: No.

Morpheus: Why not?

Neo: 'Cause I don't like the idea that I'm not in control of my life.

Morpheus: I know exactly what you mean. Let me tell you why you're here. You're here because you know something. What you know, you can't explain. But you feel it. You felt it your entire life. That there's something wrong with the world. You don't know what it is, but it's there. Like a splinter in your mind -- driving you mad. It is this feeling that has brought you to me. Do you know what I'm talking about?

Neo: The Matrix?

Morpheus: Do you want to know what it is?

(Neo nods his head.)

Morpheus: The Matrix is everywhere, it is all around us. Even now, in this very room. You can see it when you look out your window, or when you turn on your television. You can feel it when you go to work, or when go to church or when you pay your taxes. It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth.

Neo: What truth?

Morpheus: That you are a slave, Neo. Like everyone else, you were born into bondage, born inside a prison that you cannot smell, taste, or touch. A prison for your mind. (long pause, sighs) Unfortunately, no one can be told what the Matrix is. You have to see it for yourself. This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. (In his left hand, Morpheus shows a blue pill.)

Morpheus: You take the blue pill and the story ends. You wake in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. (a red pill is shown in his other hand) You take the red pill and you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes.

(Long pause; Neo begins to reach for the red pill)

Morpheus: Remember -- all I am offering is the truth, nothing more.

(Neo takes the red pill and swallows it with a glass of water)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Those few humans who were either born into reality, or have successfully taken the red pill, become the focus of the movie's story -- their attempts to destroy the Matrix and liberate the mass of humanity that lives completely encapsulated in their pods and the illusions fed to them by the powers that be -- powers that will go to any length to maintain the illusion.

Extreme, but not much different than our modern system of corporate government and capitalistic socialism.

The governing powers need things from us, not the least of which is our consent. To obtain our consent we are fed all manner of benefits. We are programmed from an early age to believe that such benefits are necessary.

To obtain these benefits, a number of conduits are attached to each of us.

Adhesion contracts like Social Security, a driver's license; voter registration for a pretended choice of social masters, bank accounts where credit is manufactured for our use and other memberships, registrations, licenses, deeds and permits to insure the conduct of our affairs will be confined within the "matrix" of corporate governance.

We are given our own numbered "pod," a social net provided by the government. Educated according to mandates of the state, our belief system is further cultured by corporate media. There are various forms of "welfare" should we succumb to poverty or disease. If we are threatened or in danger we can call 911.

Government's job of "securing" us is made easier by the massive database tracking our movements, our finances, the location of our homes and businesses and our tax records. When old age creeps up, we can rely on government to take care of us.

The corporate/government/financial interface combines to create a massive illusion of benefits -- the American dream.

For the price of a promise to in debt our future labors, pay our taxes and play within the system, there are seemingly limitless toys, castles, comforts and consumables for those who believe in this Matrix.

For half our productivity taken in taxes (the other half in payments) and the deeds and title to whatever we think we own, government and its private affiliates will take care of us.

To live in this Matrix, all we have to surrender is any genuine sense of independence, personal responsibility and our right to live freely and actually own the fruits of our labors.

And, like in the movie, a contingent of agents are deployed to combat any renegade humans who have a will for freedom from the Matrix which surrounds us.

As Morpheus explained, "The Matrix is a system Neo, and that system is our enemy. When you are inside, you look around, what do you see? Businessmen, teachers, lawyers, carpenters, the very minds we are trying to save. Until we do, these people are part of that system and that makes them our enemies.

You have to understand that most of these people are not ready to be unplugged and many are so hopelessly dependent on the system, they'll fight to protect it."

Why will blue pill people fight to protect a Matrix that enslaves them? It's all they know. And all their toys, castles, comforts and consumables will be gone without the Matrix. Their whole illusionary existence will evaporate, leaving them naked and alone.

What won't the blue pill people in our current "real" world look at?

They refuse to acknowledge they are they are funding their enslavement to a socialist homeland police state.

Last month, a few "red pill" people traveled to D.C. for an eloquent conclusion to Freedom Drive 2002, exposing the fraud of the l6th Amendment, the IRS, and the federal income tax. But the blue pill people remained comfortably in their coma, ever willing to pay a tax they do not owe.

They fund Congress and the Nazi/moron president's implementation of America's new Third Reich, so they can feel "secure."

And what greater "matrix" is there, than our current "fiat;' financial system?

We "believe" that a piece of paper with the picture of a dead president has the value of the number printed on it and that one dead president is more valuable than another. We don't even consider that the use of this dead president paper is the direct cause of our own enslavement.

Have you ever seen your bank account? It's not there. Only the slight-of-hand practiced by the teller and the accountant behind the scenes makes this illusion look real to the blue pill people.

How deep does the rabbit hole go?

Near the end of the movie, the Matrix's agent Smith acclaims the virtues of the Matrix to the captive red pill people's leader Morpheus.

"Have you ever stood and stared at it? Marveled at is beauty; its genius? Billions of people, just living out their lives -- oblivious."

From the December 2002 Idaho Observer: Now that you're here, you have no more excuse. You have to make a decision, as to whether you want to take the blue pill or the red pill. You take the blue pill, you simply close your eyes and nothing happens, your world stays the same, you go to sleep, you wake up, you go to work, you get your pay checks, you pay your debts, you pay your taxes...life goes on as usual, until the day you die.

You take the red pill, your entire world changes, your eyes will be opened, you'll never go back to sleep, your life will never be the same...

I cannot tell you what will happen to you, you have to live it, to know it and to understand it.

But one thing I can tell you... and I guarantee it, that you will no longer be bound by the powers that be, because the truth will set you free... forever.

The Serenity Prayer helps me, even though I'm not particularly religious.

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.

Remember: you need to take care of yourself first and foremost. If you are not whole and happy, your changing the world will be that much more difficult. You can try prayer or meditation, whatever brings you back to that centering place within yourself. The initial awakening is the toughest--in time you will be able to make peace with having the knowledge, not be so frightened of it. It takes time. Be kind to yourself, and take care of yourself.

Also, that saying "ignorance is bliss" -- takes on a whole new meaning now, huh?

We're here for support.

I wish I could find the quote and the philosopher who is credited with saying it, but it went basically like this.

"Tend to your garden"

You are thinking of Voltaire, speaking through his character Candide at the end of the novel of the same name.

When I'm feeling optimistic I like the following:

Say not the struggle naught availeth,
The labour and the wounds are vain,
The enemy faints not, nor faileth,
And as things have been they remain.

If hopes were dupes, fears may be liars;
It may be, in yon smoke conceal'd,
Your comrades chase e'en now the fliers,
And, but for you, possess the field.

For while the tired waves, vainly breaking,
Seem here no painful inch to gain,
Far back, through creeks and inlets making,
Comes silent, flooding in, the main.

And not by eastern windows only,
When daylight comes, comes in the light;
In front the sun climbs slow, how slowly!
But westward, look, the land is bright!

And when I'm less optimistic, the meditations of Marcus Aurelius are a good way to keep going. No sense giving up in either case.

A great sentiment and one I share as well knowing the economics of the situation we are in.

Its an important message we are conveying to people and some people just want the blue pill. If we can get enough people to take the red pill and do so with convincing, persuasive and positive messages, well then we win.

The world needs the red pill, they really do. I know it, you know it and everyone here knows it so we need to be Morpheus for the rest of America.

I have become much more positive lately about things. Just last night we had a signing party for our meetup to get our delegates and Ron Paul on the ballot in PA. It was a moving experience seeing so many people take time out of their busy lives to get involved and do what they can to help Ron Paul get elected.

That along with a meeting last weekend of a few fellow precinct leaders has really made me very positive.

I just like to think that we are all trying to change our country and the world and seeing all the others involved really gives me alot of hope and a very positive feeling.

It aint gonna be easy and it aint gonna be an undefeated season either, but what we are all doing is really trying to bring hope for America. How can you not feel good about that?

I've been aware for a long time.

At first I felt almost hopeless and helpless.
Then I got over it.

And now? Now I know this year more people have woken up than ever before.

It's beautiful. I have hope.
