Isnt funny how all the news channels are talking about Heath Ledgers death, and not the dow slipping again today? When are people gonna wake up? Celebrity matters shouldn't matter this much.

It's part of the medias job to distract people from the real news. Hence why pop stars and their pathetic lives cover the tabloids and news channels.

Celebrity is the number one attraction in the USA.
Until the Ron Paul campaign understands this it becomes difficult to play on the same field.
This is America Baby! Everyone is a celeb....
"Don't confuse me with the facts" is the mantra of the common man.
"Persuade me with the emotion" is the mantra of the smart Public Relations/Marketing man....

You choose.

Lol.. Are they just trying to do this so people dont begin to panic? What I see is that the illusion of the federal reserve in control now is over. Cutting the interest rates again just pushed the date back farther when the stock markets gonna crash; When it does it's not gonna be pretty.

I agree.. Everyone is going emo over his death but not over a failing economy.

It's annoying, but I'd rather watch Shakira on the news than Heath anyday.

I've said this to my friends yesterday when I was flipping channels to find someone who was covering the important news (hint, it's no one).

People aren't going to notice the economy tanking right now unless Heath Ledger was a heavy options trader.
