In SFO Bay Area, McCain Leads GOP Field By 24 Points: If a California Republican Primary were held in greater San Francisco today, John McCain would win decisively, according to this exclusive SurveyUSA poll conducted for KPIX-TV. McCain beats Mitt Romney by 2:1, beats Rudolph Giuliani 3:1, beats Mike Huckabee 4:1, beats Fred Thompson 5:1 and beats Ron Paul 6:1. McCain gets 51% of the youngest voters and 48% of the oldest. McCain leads by 17 among Conservatives and by 31 among Moderates, but Ron Paul leads by 9 points among the small group of Bay Area Likely Republican Primary Voters who describe themselves as Liberals.
