I'm very into this idea. I think we need a video to promote ASAP. It is important that the video clearly portrays the contrast between the Ron Paul truth and the MSM distortions and lies on each incident included in the video. Otherwise people new to Ron Paul who view the video may just buy the MSM propaganda and move on to support someone else. This could be the bomb that actually hits the 10 Million in a day that we have been trying so hard to get with our previous efforts. Go RON PAUL! It would really be awesome if GhoeberX or Avaroth could put something together for us.

I think Feb 2nd might be much too soon for some people and with that deadline, I am afraid the money bomb will fail to build the momentum we hope to gain. With that said, if this money bomb is agreed upon, then I will support it.

1. We need a much shorter, more passion-inciting video that makes a clear call to action.
2. We need a good, clean website that is not over run with other videos and images.
3. We need to have the 1/21 MLK money bomb replaced with a FauxNews Money bomb thread in the RP forums.
4. We need to make sure that every meetup group in the US is notified about this money bomb so that they can make the money bomb a meetup event.

This sort of idea does seem a logical step. It feeds off the obvious anger there is for Fox News throughout this messageboard, and also would certainly be seen as newsworthy by the other major networks.

If this is to go ahead, we need a date confiriming very soon (ie within 24hours) to give us the most amount of time possible to publicise this. 1000 people on a forum knowing about it will not be enough.

When I watched the video, I thought it was a pretty neat idea, but after thinking about it, I think we would be better served by picking the next money bomb after one of the founding fathers, like George Washington's birthday, or President's Day. I really don't see how doing this to FOX will help our message get out. It may actually have some blow back for us. Do you want this video, or clips of it, to air on MSM channels? I don't, I don't want people to see Dr. Paul being made fun of. The more I think about it, the idea seems less and less likely to help Dr. Paul. I think it could hurt him. It will make us, his supporters look like a bunch of whiners, like Alan Keyes looked in one of the debates, complaining about fair treatment. Have you noticed that Ron Paul hasn't done this? When asked about how he is being treated he will always respond kind saying something like he thinks he could get better coverage, but he is never bitter or angry about it. This idea makes us seem bitter and angry and I don't think that is the way to draw other people to the message. Let's compare Dr. Paul to George Washington, or some of the other presidents for the next money bomb, and leave FOX to their den. I agree. The spontaneous response in this thread to that (admittedly somewhat cringe worthy) video is proof that this is a winning theme. It is very reminiscent to the first video and thread for the Nov. 5th money bomb. There is no denying that this theme will have a powerful emotional impact on the grassroots. It has the essential spirit of rebellion and will be a way for people to vent their frustrations with what we've been putting up with. Plus, people who are reluctant to donate to a money bomb because Ron has yet to win a state's primary might be tempted to do this money bomb out of the worthy cause of getting revenge on Fox News regardless if Ron can win the nomination or not.

At the same time I fully acknowledge the risk of bad media that this may induce. Just like all the concerns that many of us had about the "V" theme for Nov 5th. They are very legitimate concerns. Please when promoting this money bomb don't go all nutso with the CFR talk etc.

But I just think that it is very hard to pick a theme that gets people excited. And when one emerges naturally like this and people immediately respond with hyper-enthusiasm (like in this thread) you simply have to accept it.

My only concern is that Feb 2 seems like not enough time for this. But whatever day is decided on, Count me in!

Excellent idea. Draws attention to RP's lack of media coverage and FOX News' blatant bias. This would appeal to a lot of people and would be easy to market.

The trick to moneybombs is to have the idea inspire passion and look forward to the future. MLK, although successful, was tied to the past. What MLK fought for, although noble, is not one of the highlights of this campaign.

Man, would it ever be nice if a disgruntled MSM insider in the know came forward, with rock solid evidence about their organization deliberately censoring Ron Paul.

Evidence like memos, cell phone created videos, recorded conversations, whatever works and is irrefutable.

We could even create a Chip-in of $10,000.00 for evidence "leading to the conviction" of a large MSM news organization actively acting to suppress GOP candidate Ron Paul and his message". We could post a well-wordsmithed letter on fauxnewsmoneybomb.com imploring someone to step forward. There has GOT to be RP supporters inside these news organizations...

In the meantime, Elwar, we should solict youtube videos from folks who focus on the actual media suppression evidence with words that draw their attention to what they are doing.
