Is it legal to print a bunch of these off and put them under people's windshield wipers?

I guess yes, but don't you think hand-to-hand will be more effective??

No one else is stealing your idea rpfan...

ok, if you want me to get brutally honest on it (since the real thing is still in production, but you really want to keep working which is awsome, here's how to make it good):

a. it's ugly
b. it's blocky
c. hard to read
d. low contrast, low visibility
e. cramped
f. the question mark box needs to go
g. you need SOME font variation. ie, you have absolutely no sans serif fonts in it
h. Your margins don't line up anywhere
i. this is to be printed on small office printers which will make all that black impossible to read as it will bleed the white letters (on most people's printers)
j. white on black is hard to read anyway. it's ok for glossy and big type, but not at all for this.
k. your headlines are passive
l. page 2- needs to be started from scratch because of the flag, the color scheme
m. the 'offical Ron Paul website' makes this flier seem official, which this definitely should not be seen as such
n. the sources at the bottom are tiny and damned near having sex with each other. The sources is sideways, which would be ok if it weren't so small.
o. the boxes are terribly cluttery, everywhere, but also in the bottom with the extra grey box to explain who made this, then some kinda funky pattern to go under a google un-logo. If you're gonna say google, use the logo.
p. The greek style font you're using in the one white box, where all the words are poorly aligned and ALL CAPS needs to be completely redone with everything else
q. NEVER use underlines, italics and bold just to highlight words and phrases. It's the single most armature thing I see people do. If your words themselves aren't good enough, don't make the flier ugly to emphasise not good enough words. If they are good enough, don't make the thing ugly and hard to read by underline bold italicising every other word.
r. your collumn alignments are suspect the more I look at it. Did you use columns? I see a random column alignment. You don't have to show the columns, but for this particular design, I'd use a collumn spread of 5 or 7. another pro tip- NEVER use even number of columns and NEVER have anything end or start in your column bleed.

There's more but I have to get back to work. :)

lol hope your not mad... I'm a creative brand director... I treat my people this way so that's how you know I like you, I guess or something. heh

Edit, what is it you love so much about boxes anyway? :P

Heh Rhys got most of it, but I think the main thing here is information overload and overall poor design. On top of Rhys comments, there is an abject lack of whitespace, way too much grayspace, a lack of proper paragraph justification, and too much wordbreak/hyphenation in the "Ron Paul Has:" section. Its a total Colin. I cant imagine anyone willingly reading that.

You are definitely going to have to cut down on the amount of info you are giving to the most important points. You can then point them to videos, articles, and websites from there.

I wholeheartedly recommend "Looking Good in Print" by Roger C. Parker.

Unfortunately, one major problem still exists on the second page. The speech is cut in half. People reading in a box will read the whole box. The speech is cut into two different boxes.

Guys, we can present this as any supporter to any supporter, and leave Ron Paul's name off it when we want to
- just don't print the 2nd page out, or only talk about the first page when talking.

Present them with facts, and then at a later time, they'll discover their candidate doesn't make any sense at all.

*We ought to even post the first page on all the other candidates boards*

We want them to steal it, in fact, maybe we should just pretend to be them and give it to them.

Other candidates will start to sound like they don't make any sense when their policies can't address these issues.

I took the idea and went in a slightly different direction. It gets your attention. I did borrow a section of text but most of this is original. I am also open to constructive advice.

I was thinking about something similar, but something that would get people's attention more. I was thinking of a mailer that looks like an actual bill like from a utility company or a phone company. It would show the total $440,000, and then break it down like:

Money Stolen from Social Security: $100,000
War in Iraq: $3,300
730 bases in 130 Countries that Can afford to Defend themselves: $10,000
Amount These Soldiers Spend Other Countries Economies instead of US: $2,000
$10B Aid to the Dictator who removed Democracy in Pakistan: $300
Billions in Aid to Saudi Arabia: $1,000
Interest from Money Borrowed from Communist China: $10,000
Billions that disappeared in Iraq: $500
Money collected from capturing Osama Bin Laden:$0
Down Payment for Hillary's Universal Socialist Health Care: $20,000

Knowing that Ron Paul will save our Country: Priceless

etc....

I'll see if I can squeeze that in there. I would like more of an accurate breakdown which totals or comes close to the $440k. I can probably trim some of the fat out of what I have there now to make room for this.

I do have a question about the logos used, are there laws pertaining to their use? They come of a $1 bill. If that is a legal issue, maybe someone can provide custom logos... please?
