1. Make signs that say approximately the following: "Watch Ron Paul win another debate on [Network/channel] on/at [Date/Time of debate]"
2. The day or afternoon before the debate, get a meetup group of individuals waving these signs, and position yourselves on the nearest busy street to the local affiliate of the network broadcasting the debate (won't work for cable network debates, but the FOX and ABC ones are viable).

What local news producer in his right mind would turn down using some footage of unpaid supporters doing free advertising for them in their market?

The only drawback would be you can only use the signs once... but they could be painted over and redone for each subsequent debate or for other sign waves.

This is a great idea! It would probably also work quite well at sporting events that are being broadcast by the same network that plans to broadcast an upcoming debate.

Ha, newsnetworks will ignore those signs just like they ignored that largest support group at every Republican debate. We just have to keep trying and get even more people their and more independent coverage.

I think the beauty of the idea is that the local TV stations know that it is a good idea to advertise for their station, but some of the local guys are not in on the national agenda to make sure that the bought and paid for politicians always get elected.

you CAN make real headway with local newspeople -- even the ones who work for the multinational corpo-ganda network
