Do you ever plan to run for office? This could include congress, senate, legislator, mayor, governor, etc. And if you do, would you run on the same platform Ron Paul currently is?

Never.

Long ago, my parents once told me quite seriously that they would disown me and throw me out of the house if I ever so much as considered running for any sort of public office. And their wisdom has stuck with me to this day.

I'd consider it... But I still have my dream of being a rock star (http://youtube.com/watch?v=UOWdpNxaEvM) someday. :p :D

(Yes, that's my video, and I'm proud of it!)

I would run as a RP Republican, but I'm not cut out to be a politician. I value my privacy too much.

I would consider it. I'm probably enough of an asshole to be a politician, but unfortunately I'm an honest asshole. That might be a problem.

Ron Paul is honest.

In the past I would have never considered it. Lately I have been learning a lot, and not liking what I see.
I am considering it. I am not committed to it yet, but I am thinking about it.
If I do it will be for a local position, as a Libertarian/Independent.

History has many examples of Outlaw turned Lawman.
Honest Outlaw for Sheriff.
Maybe.
I'm still thinking.

I would love to have Ron Paul as a colleague, sadly he will be retired by the time I even come close to Congress.

I would be a statesman, not a politician.

I don't really "plan" to, but I may sometime in the future run for an office. Not sure if it would be local, state, or national though. However, I'd probably start with something small unless it was local. You know, I might run for a state representative or state senator. I wouldn't run for a Governor until I felt like I had enough experience and knowledge to deal with such a task.

However, why don't you ask about President? :D Who knows I may run for President some day if I get into politics at all. Maybe somebody else on this forum will.

All the same, I wouldn't run on Paul's platform because I don't agree with some of his ideas.

If so, I hope no one ever comes back and reads my comments on here :p

Ron Paul is honest.

True, but he's not an asshole.

I would be willing to serve a few terms either in my state legislature or the US House, but I would term myself out just because I know couldn't stand the sleaze for too long.

Yes, but it'll be awhile. I've got to get a few years under my belt.

They'll dig up anything on you, especially if they're 20 points behind in the polls.

Where is the "I already have" option? I ran for Keene, NH City Council twice (2001/3) and was offered the R nomination for state rep from Keene in 2004, but turned it down.

Where is the "I already have" option?

Or the "I ran for office long, long ago, but would never do so again" option?
