Are there lots of signs up? Does there seem to be a lot of RP supporters, canvassing, TV ads, radio ads, precinct captains, etc??? Let us know.

Maine has a state coordinator-- unlike neighboring states like Massachusetts and Vermont-- and precinct captains are signing up.

or not.. we heard too many good things about Louisiana and so did the other campaigns. They had way too much of a heads up on what was going to happen.

That's the game. The media alerts the establishment, "Oh no Ron Paul could do good here," and then they attacked and make sure they take him down a few notches below expectations, then ignore him for not doing so well.

"Proud Progressive for Ron Paul -- supporting a freedom agenda for the whole United States, and socialized health care for Massachusetts "

I busted out laughing when I read that. Hilarious!

Hey, why not? ;) It's a free country.

Sorry for getting off-topic, but Paul has actually talked about this before.

When I was in Iowa for the students trip, we had a little rally when we first got there. The good doctor talked about how, in a truly free society, you can have a small group of people decide, "Hey, let's be socialist!" and they can go make their little socialist community, so long as they don't force anyone to join. But...in a country that isn't free, there's no way you can have a group of people say "Hey, let's come over here and be free."

Aroostook County (the top 3rd of the state) is well plastered with signs. The only other signs I have seen or for Obama, and ours far outnumber his.

We are running 80 ads on WAGM-TV, the county's only TV station. I have personally called every supporter in the southern half of the county, and many are saying they will indeed come out to caucus for RP. I will also be speaking on behalf of Dr. Paul at all three of the county's caucus locations.

Who knows what will happen, but I'd certainly say we are looking pretty good in northern Maine.

Come on Maine, we need a big showing there to regain our credibility after Florida.... We're counting on you!

I see signs, but I saw a lot of signs in NH too. I think that the big thing is going to be overcoming apathy, and that may work in our favor. The caucus is a big commitment - a good chunk of the day and your vote doesn't "count". Both my husband and I plan to be delegates, because our town gets quite a few and has a large population of VERY apathetic dolesters who are unlikely to turn out. However, I know the GOP is working hard against us, so we must be wary.

I actually tell people that sometimes. You don't have to believe Paul is right about everything to support him. You just have to believe that you can make a greater impact at the local level. You just have to believe there's less waste and better decision making at the local level. Most people agree with those things, even if they'd prefer to live in a small socialist city.

"socialized" health care run at the state level is much better than one run at the federal level. If the people in Massachusetts decide that is what they want, more power to them.

I believe Maine may be the most important state for us yet.

A 1st place finish in Maine will set Dr. Paul up with some momentum and hopefully with media coverage to carry him in to Super Tuesday.

You would think that with another 2 candidates gone the MSM will have some extra time to cover the WINNER of Maine.

Atleast, these are the things that I pray for at night. Everyone in Maine, please realize how important this weekend is!
